I am liking the iPad Air (5th generation) a lot. I was wanting a replacement for my iPad Pro 9.7” and this is a good option. I like the blue color. The picture and sound quality are good. Size is similar and the biggest difference is Touch ID is now on the power button and the charging port is USB-C. The onscreen touch keyboard is slightly different and more like a computer keyboard with words instead of arrows for caps lock and backspace/delete. The camera is perfectly fine for an iPad, but I don’t use my iPad for taking photos, which is a main reason why I went with the Air instead of one of the Pro models. The battery life has been great, which was another reason why I got a new iPad. The price might seem a bit steep, but most people keep their tablets a lot longer than smartphones, so if you keep a 256GB iPad Air 5 for 3+ years then it’s not so bad. So far, I recommend this iPad if you don’t need the top of the line camera or extra large screen for graphics work.

Absolutely incredible. This iPad is one of the best that I’ve ever owned. The screen quality is incredible, and the A1 chip inside is blazing fast. I use it to edit 90 MB photo files, and this thing just blasts through them without breaking a sweat. The battery life is incredible, And the USB-C port makes it even more functional. You can easily add a multi port, USB – C dongle and transfer images from your SD card to a back up drive, or from one drive to another. Be aware, though that some drivers do not work on this iPad. It is a known issue that Apple does not seem to want to fix. Certain drives just don’t want to be recognized by iPads. I wish Apple would fix this, as it would make these machines even better.

I wanted something smaller and lighter than my older (6 years old) ipad pro. Portability is great... hardly know it's in my bag. Fast as a GT-3.

I was hesitant about getting an iPad at first, but now I don't know how I lived without it! Its big, beautiful screen is perfect for watching videos, browsing recipes, or just scrolling through social media on the couch. I love how easy it is to use. The battery lasts forever, and it's so portable that I can take it anywhere. It's become my go-to for drawing, taking notes, or just relaxing with a good ebook. Seriously, if you're considering an iPad, just do it!

I love this iPad. It’s the perfect size to fit in you lap and the screen is bright and clear. The battery power is reasonable, it only runs low if I spend a few hours watching video, and it charges quickly. It’s small and lightweight.

Great Price for Apple through Best Buy. Needed for portability, battery life exceptional and screen vivid and sharp. Needed wiFi and connection excellent - processor speed very good. Compared to the 11" and did not need the enhanced camera options on other models. Mostly used for light streaming and light general business applications.

I love the new size, and shape of the new iPad air. It’s amazingly lightweight and powerful with amazing graphics and good battery life. I bought it with the Magic Keyboard (that I’m using to type up this review) and it truly does act like a MacBook, even with the 10.9” screen size. I have found myself using my MacBook pro less now because of everything I can do with ease on this new iPad.

Very pleased with this latest iPad Air version, which replaced my older iPad that was starting to become unreliable. Good storage, great display, decent battery life so far. The device colors are a nice touch - more interesting than just another gray or black device, but subtle enough to look professional and not like a cheap plastic toy. Sale price was a great deal.

Great size, easy to handle. Screen is bright and very clear. programs are quick and easy to obtain. Unit appears to be well built and should last awhile. I have owned many Ipads in the past, this Ipad Air seems to steps above. I would definitely buy this again if need be.

This model is over two years old, but still plenty capable for its price range. It's the first iPad Air model to have an M-series chip. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of newer iPad Air models. But most people are probably not going to notice all that much unless you do video editing on the fly.

I traded in my iPad mini 6 for this because I needed something more capable as it is my only computer. It’s does the job capably, although mirroring on a monitor took some getting used to. I didn’t buy the attachable keyboard as I have an Apple blootooth keyboard and mouse already, but those paired seamlessly and with my monitor make a capable desktop substitute for those occasions it is needed. The M1 chip makes this a good option for those whose computer needs are basic, but still want the portability of an iPad most of the time. I loved the form factor of the mini and honestly preferred it when lounging around, but the iPad Air is more versatile as I said. The larger sized phones these days are almost a substitute for the mini anyway. If you do any amount of drawing, light photo editing, or any amount of stuff other than just consumption, the Air with its bigger screen is the only way to go. Don’t fall for the comparisons between the Air and same sized iPad Pro as far as refresh rate. The Air is plenty quick. Only true negative is battery life. The M1 chip means this looses charge pretty quick so any more than a few hours use daily will mean this is a daily charge device.
