Our old iPad had run it's course, while the battery was still good, the unit was not viable for latest iOS, so many apps wouldn't run on older iOS.
Enter this updated one. It is a solid tablet, the A16 chips has plenty of processing speed and the 128GB storage is plenty for some photos or video.

When I bought my first ipad in 2018 for $329 (iPad 6th gen, 32GB), I thought it was a fair price. Somehow almost 8 years later, I was able to replace it with this iPad that is over an inch bigger and has four times as much memory for $279 (on sale). You don’t see that type of price stability very often.
Despite some of my misgivings with Apple as a company, and my general frustration with the iOS platform, I applaud them for maintaining such reasonably priced entry level devices (I’m also an iPhone SE loyalist). This is especially noteworthy since many companies are raising prices, more than circumstances would seem to justify, while blaming it on the economy, government, etc.
I know that I would be getting better performance and screen resolution/brightness with a higher end device, but for the price, this one is really hard to beat. All in all, I generally prefer the Android platform, but if Apple continues to produce such solid devices at these price points, then I’m definitely willing to stick with their platform for phones/tablets.

The iPad is a game-changer! Its stunning display, lightning-fast performance, and seamless integration with Apple’s ecosystem make it a joy to use. Whether for work, creativity, or entertainment, it excels in every way. The battery life is impressive, and the intuitive design keeps things effortless. Truly a must-have device!

Good value & just what is needed to work on the go. Didn't realize no pone jack but then not necessary as dont use for that. Good sound & fast processing. A little bit of learning curve from old Ipad as far as screens but easy to learn

I upgraded to the 128GB iPad 11-inch with the A16 chip and I’m really happy with it. Performance is smooth whether I’m using multiple apps, watching videos, or doing light photo editing. The 128GB storage gives me plenty of space for apps, photos, and files without worrying about running out.
The screen looks great and the Wi-Fi connection has been reliable and fast. Battery life easily lasts through a full day of use. It feels solid in hand and handles everything I throw at it with no lag.
If you want a capable iPad with enough storage for everyday use, this model is worth it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a responsive tablet that’s great for work and play.

I was debating between A16 iPad and iPad Min A17 Pro during the last Black Friday Sale. My main concerns when choosing an iPad are budget, battery life, portability and performance. I didn't really consider iPad Air because it's a bit pricier and overkill for my everyday usage. Plus, basic iPad works perfect for at least five years or more. I mainly use iPad for watching content, taking notes and playing games. I don't really care about having the best display like ProMotion or OLED because once your eyes get used to the IPS 60Hz display, it doesn't matter anyway. However, since I play LoL Wild Rift on my iPad, that has been my main concern whether a basic iPad can handle this game. So far, the 6GB RAM and A16 chip have been exceptional with no lag or stutter in performance. My 8th gen iPad, released in 2020, struggled a lot with only 3GB RAM for gaming tasks. The starting 128GB storage also makes this base model iPad very attractive for its price. However, if you like to have a lot of apps installed on your iPad, you might want to consider bumping it to 256GB.
