We upgraded from a first gen iPad Pro 9.7 to this 11 inch 2018 model. This iPad Pro is a huge upgrade, it's much lighter and really flies. We opted for the 256 GB storage as our original model had only 32GB so that was the main driver for the upgrade. The unit has a really polished feel and has a nice heft and weight and feels solid, I think it's a tad heavier than my original Pro but it's hardly an issue. The bezel is much thinner but I don't have any problems getting accidental unintended touches while it's being handled. The size difference going from 9.7 to 11 is also quite noticeable. My only regret is I didn't go for the 12.9 inch model! The only real gripe is the huge price difference between the non-Pro and the Pro. I feel the regular Ipads have also come a long way and have closed a lot of the gap. But if you want professional level productivity, especially with the keyboard and stylus and upcoming iPad Pro OS updates you can't beat this model.

This thing has amazed me since the moment I turned it on. It has the body of a thinner and far lighter Microsoft Surface, but with a screen and battery life that Microsoft can’t even touch. I have 18 iTunes purchased movies on this and haven’t even used half the space on it. The movies look and sound incredible. Colors are vibrant and I never thought I could get the sound quality in something portable. So glad I exchanged the 2017 iPad Pro 10.5” for this upgrade. This will make road trips more enjoyable.
Only gripes is accessories aren’t readily available for it anywhere unless you live near an Apple store. 99% of apps also haven’t been updated to take full advantage the screen real estate available.
I didn’t think Face ID would work smoothly, but surprisingly it does..better than on the iPhone X. Which is a relief as the Touch ID on the 2017 model was not very effective and smooth as on an iPhone.
This is the product line upgrade I’ve been waiting for Apple to shock us with.
*if you own an early MacBook Air, purchase a usb to usb-c cord if you wish to back it up with iTunes. I had to make a late night trip back.

I am the daughter of the user here and I do a lot of artwork. I wanted to do digital art more recently, but me being the mobile person and running around a lot I haven't had the time. Getting this as a late birthday present was great. I have been playing with the pencil as well as the ipad pro and is by far a great way to do mobile digital art. It's a good enough size to carry around in a purse and also love the chargeable feature of the pencil being magnetized to the tablet itself. Makes it easier to find and not have to rummage through a bag to find it.
Has also an amazing camera that does great pics and video. Though it is a bit big for using just as a camera. The speakers are very amazing and even though there is no headphone plug in I really don't mind. The speakers make up for it.
Overall Loving it and will keep on drawing on it when I can.

+Better camera (not a high hurdle). +Quicker. +Runs latest software with aplomb. +Extensive battery life. +Operates Apple Pencil.
-Surprisingly heavy. -No “home” button takes time to get used to (I still haven’t). -Closing background windows can be challenging and feels inconsistent. -Did I mention it’s heavier than the past generation?

I upgraded from my 2016, 9.7 inch iPad Pro. The screen is slightly larger, colors sharper, speed improved, speakers about the same and weight the same. The pencil and writing experience is much better, and the facial recognition is fantastic! The only downside is the price and cost of both the pencil & keyboard. I did initially buy a different keyboard/folio with Bluetooth connectivity, but ended up buying the Apple keyboard due to the weight. The Apple keyboard makes the iPad much lighter than the others I have tried. I did trade in my old iPad, as well as purchased this while on sale. I would have thought twice about upgrading to this if I paid the full price out of pocket.
I also debated between the 12.9 and 11 inch models for quite some time. Decided to go with the 11 inch due to portability and ability to more easily use it while sitting in my car.
Overall, I am happy with the purchase and plan to use it for a couple years.

I’ve owned various iPad models, from the first model in 2011, to iPad Minis, and the first Pro 9.7” model in 2016. But this new iPad Pro 11” model? OMG!! Best iPad yet! Now, you may be thinking, “Well of course it’s the best yet, because it’s the newest and fastest one.” That’s true, but what makes this new model exceptionally nice is that the screen bezel is only about a quarter inch all around, considerably thinner than previous models, which means the overall size of the iPad is the same as the iPad that has a 9.7” screen, yet has an 11” screen! Another plus is the Apple Pencil 2, which magnetically attaches to the side and charges through wireless induction instead of the annoying method of having to uncap the lightning connector and inserting the pencil into the lightning port to charge.
It also comes with an 18W USB-C fast charger, which plugs into the iPad’a USB-C port. That port will also allow you to plug in an external hard drive with a USB-C cable! The charger is the same one that’s included with the iPhone 11 Pro.
Battery life is excellent. iPadOS 13 is great! If I were an octopus, I’d give this iPad Pro 11” model 8 thumbs up.

i originally went into Best Buy to purchase a new Surface Pro 7. While I was in store, I figured I would check out the Apple table. I came across this Ipad Pro 11 and absolutely fell in love with it. Purchased it along with the 2nd gen Apple pencil, took it home and began to get acquainted with it. I purchased a new 13" MacBook Pro earlier in 2019 so I have become quite accustomed to using MAC OS. Keep in mind my main computer is my windows based PC desktop, and I am a long time Galaxy Android user. But when it comes to laptops and tablets, no one gets it right like Apple does. This beast of a tablet has become my go to for college. Its amazing what this little thing can do. I installed a peperlike screen protector and taking notes on the device via GoodNotes5 has become a must. Overall an incredible experience and I highly recommend this tablet to students, professionals, and anyone who needs a quality tablet.

I have had several iPads over the years and the iPad Pro 10.5 from 2017 was my current one and I loved it and saw no real reason to upgrade so I put it off for almost 2 years.
But after getting a coupon to help with the price I decided to get one of the new 11.0 Pros....I'm so glad I did!
It is obviously a lot faster and does things better than the last generation... the Ring doorbell and Arlo cameras were noticeably better.
It is an upgrade in every aspect, but the most important being that is so much easier to hold....the 10.5 was angled around the edge which left a dent in my fingers after I held it for a while....The wider edge on the new design spreads out the weight and make this one much more comfortable to hold for long periods.

Face ID is a great improvement over Touch ID, and getting larger footprint over same size as 10.5” iPad Pro with faster processor and improved Apple Pencil makes it even better, though the Smart Keyboard adds bulk compared to previous version.

The new iPad Pro without home button and leveraging FaceID is wonderful. Login is very fast, battery life has been awesome and it takes good pictures. Size and weight is almost same as old iPad Air2 9.3" and you get much more screen and battery life.

This tablet is a great buy. I am a college student on a budget and was looking for something to be portable and easy to use. It feels very fast and fluid compared to older models I’ve owned. Apples ecosystem makes for this seamless transition between using applications on the iPad and iPhone which is useful. The only thing about this tablet I felt was a drawback was that you absolutely need to purchase a Bluetooth keyboard along with it. Apples keyboard along with the Apple Pencil was out of budget so I opted for the Logitech (Which is pretty much the same). I was always very skeptical of the Apple Pencil until I got to using it with my iPad. It may seem tacky and a bit unnecessary at first but I find it very useful when taking handwritten notes.

Coming from an iPad 12.9 first gen it is quite an upgrade. This time i decided to go with a smaller display of 11”, but don’t regret it so far, it is actually more portable and more usable one-handed. Face ID is amazing compared to the First gen Touch ID, with they would offer the pencil at a cheaper price, but you know, Apple Taxes just keep growing.
All in a great upgrade, all im waiting for is for more apps to take advantage of the new display format, and for iOS to grow into a better tablet OS, or MacOS for it to better support the laptop claim, the power is there, but iOS is really holding it back... iPad now is just so future proof for at least 5 years i would say, just give us better software Apple

The best tablet taken to the next level
Apple took what made the iPad the best overall tablet and made everything better. The screen is better, the speakers are better, it’s lightweight, and it’s blazing fast. Too many tech reviews are focused on whether this is a laptop replacement and that’s subjective when the reality is this should be judged only as a tablet. This tablet is great at home for reading, gaming, watching movies, web surfing, listening to music, video editing, watching YouTube, and it’s a great photo album. On the road...it’s great on an airplane, subway, bus, or in a hotel room. The iPad can also be used as a business tool and a learning tool for students.
