This 12.9 is amazing for college, I use it to take notes and to look at the powerpoint using the 50/50 split screen. All my notes are organized using the app GoodNotes so I don't have to carry any books or have papers everywhere since it's all on there. I use it for YouTube and other videos and it does the job as well! Would definitely recommend it to people who will take advantage of the apple pencil or the keyboard. If you have no intention using those than do not waste your money., You would be better off buying the latest iPad Air which is great for just social media, reading, and video watching. Stuff in that nature.

Everything is super smooth. The gestures are nice and makes it really easy to use, almost like a MacBook lite version. More than that, it’s really good for watching videos with the beautiful display and amazing speakers - loud, crisp and clear.

Very lightweight and is easy to use. Love the size. I enjoy bringing it everywhere

Awesome upgrade from the 9.7 Pro. I can split screen and easily use Power Point and Word at the same time. Great for giving presentations. Watching a movie is nice with the large screen. Team it with the Smart Keyboard!

We already own an iPad Air and have been very happy with it. My wife has some vision problems and the larger iPad Pro seemed like a good fit for her. We love it! 256 gig is plenty for us and my wife can enlarge print and pictures for viewing. And with Best Buy’s $125 discount was the best price out there. 18months interest free is also a bonus using my Best Buy charge card.

Silky smooth and fast, this iPad does everything I wanted it to do and I’ve reached the point where I don’t miss having a computer at all. . Pros: - Size makes it a smoother transition for someone who wants a laptop replacement, but still small enough to throw in a bag or large purse- Everything moves lightning fast you can easily switch between apps without slowing anything down- Battery lasts a long time- Display is great for watching movies or looking at/editing pictures- Touch screen is responsive enough that I was able to easily type emails and social media posts before I had the Smart Keyboard Cons: - Cost of accessories. I actually think the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil make this iPad the complete package and everyone should have them, but the price makes that hard

I bought this as an upgrade from the first generation iPad Pro, which was already a great device. Although I would not pay full price for this, when it was on sale, it was a great deal. The screen is amazing and the 120hz refresh rate makes a real difference. The processor is really fast and with iOS 11 the iPad Pro becomes much more useful than ever before.

Really glad that I purchased the I Pad. I had a laptop before and wasn't sure about the Pad, but it is so nice to have right there and get the information I need rather than going to the laptop. Smaller lets me handle easily. Easy for me to use. Didn't realize how much time it saved me.

Best tablet out in my opinion and I use androids....Android tablets just aren’t as good right now. This is perfect for someone who doesn’t want to buy a true laptop because they don’t use all of those features. Only negative is the price but it’s expected with an Apple product.

I am a semi-retired design professional with more than 40 years of experience in the land planning, landscape architecture, architecture & construction industries. I offer that only to say that I grew up with and spent most of my career designing & drawing with pencil & pen on paper. While that will probably always be my preferred medium the iPad Pro with Pencil is as close to that experience as I’ve found digitally. I am also a self-professed tech nerd and always looking for any way to utilize tech to support or simplify my life and process. I coveted the iPad Pro since Apple introduced it a few years ago but didn’t feel it had become versatile enough to justify the price. Now however with the continued product improvements, introduction of iOS 11 and the many professional level apps available it became a no brainer for me especially given its portability. Combined with a wireless keyboard it can perform most of the lighter weight tasks of a laptop as well, increasing its versatility. It certainly doesn’t have the horsepower or app support to do 3D modeling or tasks of that nature but that is not it’s purpose. This is an “idea machine” and digital art platform!

Our old ipad air was getting slow so we decided to get a new one; couldn't believe the difference in speed. We also love the bigger screen for viewing pictures, video and face timing. The color is even nicer than our old one. Thought it was a worth while purchase.

My wife is an artist and really wanted an iPad that she could draw stuff on. I got her the latest iPad and Apple pencil, which I returned for this larger Pro. It is exactly what she wanted- large, clear screen, sharp lines with the pencil, high speed processing with the readability of a bigger screen as we get a little bit older! I was worried it would be too big, but apparently not. Her new Pro is with her all the time, coupled with the innovative keyboard/cover and pencil. I do believe she is getting rid of her laptop and going full time with the iPad and desktop to accomplish her artistic needs. I opted for the 256GB version which has ample space for her creative work, music and books. Glad I bought it!

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the usefulness of the 12.9” iPad. I wasn’t sure how I would like the size, thinking it may be too big but on the contrary, that’s what I like most about it. It’s very easy to use and great for reading books on. I mainly use it for work and it does everything I need it to. The speakers are impressive and I listen to music on it while I’m working. I got the 256G and I’m sure it’s way more than I will ever need but I didn’t want to have it run out of memory and kick myself for not spending the extra money when I could have. Overall I highly recommend buying one and definitely get the Apple Pencil. It is VERY useful writing notes and typing.

Works just as you would expect from an Apple product. I bought this for educational purposes (notes, viewing slides, internet, etc.) and I couldn't be any happier. I have classes between 9:30 til 5:30 and this iPad gets me through with constant use from those times with 20% remaining. Might I add that this is with me using the split screen feature for the most part. I love my iPad to death. It actually makes me enjoy note taking and studying! The new feature of document scanning is super helpful. It just sucks that I had to dish out another $99 dollars for the Apple Pencil in order to be able to use my iPad to its fullest potential. I'm not mad that I had to spend almost a grand for this because it was worth it!

I love it. I had a surface pro 4, and switched to the ipad. Multitasking is great, the apps are great, and the pencil changes the device dramatically. Not quite a laptop killer, but the batter life and integration with other apples products is ace. Go with the 12.9. it's light, and you'll want the extra screen space.

I already have an iPhone + model. It is great for portability. I wanted something to use in the evening that would fit in my lap, be light weight but was large like a computer. This completely fills the bill. It is also great for watching movies and tv. Additionally, it has the power for my photo editing.
