Love the new I Pad, especially the huge screen. That huge screen does use more battery, but still lasts all day long!

Great honestly, easy to use, good battery life, excellent graphics, basically if you have had positive experiences with apple before, you will again with this ipad. Get apple though, I made the mistake of not getting it and my ipad got significantly damaged in a car crash, but if anything it attests to how good the product is because even though it is significantly bent and damaged, it still works perfectly to this day.

Salesman offered a opportunity to receive an open-box upgrade option resulting in a much larger tablet relative to size and digital storage.

    APPLE does it again

Apple does it again. I have had 5 iPads various generations and pleased with every gen. Apple certainly has a proprietary platform and if you like APPLE you usually love APPLE and notice the little tweaks. I also have the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the new iPad integrates pretty well. I was perplexed why my iPhone contacts didn’t transfer over to the iPad. But that’s the only negative. The camera is great the screen is bright and has great resolution. You still can’t see it in bright sun but to me it does seem better in that regard. Streaming has been flawless. The speakers are audible but their still tablet speakers so I can hear them fine but I use Bluetooth speakers for everything. I like that BEST BUY / Apple gave me 130$for my old iPad which was 3 yrs old at least. I bought the OTTER BOX case and so far I like it but jury still out. You definitely need a case as the 12” is big and better grip, protection and 2 stand positions all necessary to comfortably use it. There are tons of tablet options but APPLE IPAD always works and never not once have I had issues where it became nonfunctional and for me that’s all I can ask from any tablet.

My new Apple 12.9-Inch iPad Pro 256GB replaces a year 2016 model. There are discernable differences that prompted me to invest in the new model. Namely, better camera for improved photography, better screen for brighter and better video resolution, and latest generation core processor for faster speed. I love it, and purchased it on sale at a $100 discount.

I highly recommend this 12.9 ipad. Today you might want to buy the latest model or wait until March 24 when the rumors all say a new model is coming with oled screen and and other improvements. The price is expected to be higher. I do recommend the pro model over the air model if your budget can handle it especially if you wait on the newer models expected soon. Keep in mind that the 12.9 model is a good bit heavier than the 11” especially if you include the Magic Keyboard. The one thing I have not been impressed with is the battery. It just does not last long at all even when it was newer.

A Consistently Terrific and Functional Product

I purchased this Gen 5 iPad Pro to replace my 4 year old Gen 1 iPad Pro, purchased in 2018. I have an iPad mini that I use for reading and travel, but the 12.9 inch Pro is just magnificent for working or watching movies. The Gen 5 has significantly better performance across the board - silky smooth interface with plenty of horsepower to drive apps; excellent sound quality out of the stock speakers, I rarely use headphones; gorgeous rich display that gives an incredible depth of color and true HD performance up to 4K (that's all the resolution of product I have). It was a pretty dramatic upgrade for me, given a Gen 1 that it replaced, so I'm not sure if Gen 3 or 4 users would notice as large a difference. But, the fact that my Gen 1 lasted 4 years (and still works fine, just slow, and battery life is now much less) is a testament to the quality of the iPad. I've used all kinds of Android tablets and always come back to the iPad, it's just the best tablet going. One caveat - I am a digital artist and cannot endorse the Apple Pencil. It's like plastic on glass (well, I guess that shouldn't be a surprise) - no feel, friction, or connection to the artwork. I use a MS Surfacebook pro for art.

Writing this review 2 years after ownership. 10/10. At first I felt like I had over bought but as time went on I started power using the pro for what it was meant for and editing pictures on Adobe suite etc. It's so fast and smooth. It has the usual apple ipad quirks where they still haven't made Instagram, a calculator etc for ipad. But other than that what a product.

This is the device to have if this is your only Apple device. If you have another Apple laptop, then you probably don’t need this. If you have a desktop, and it is in your budget, buy it NOW!!! This thing is fun to use and you can use sidecar and (sorta) control your computer from a distance. PROS: - The screen is great (not good, great), and the power is more than enough for most. - The camera trick for Zoom is sneaky great. - The battery lasts (me) all day CONS: - The iPadOS limits the device for power users - You will need a dongle to connect the iPad to multiple devices

Updated my M1 12.9” I Pad Pro that I use for College, along with email and YouTube videos. I had to go for the more expensive 256 GB version of the IPad as the 128GB version was sold out over Xmas. I got a good deal on the new IPad ($300 discount) along with almost $400 trade in on a two year old IPad 12.9 Pro. I plan on keeping this one more than two years. Love the camera tracking ability on FaceTime.

    Best iPad I've Ever Used

I've owned several iPads but this is my first iPad Pro. I absolutely love it. My most recent two iPads have been Minis (Gen 3 and Gen 5) so I was afraid going to a full size iPad or even larger with the 12.9" pro would be too big but it's actually been really great. I don't consider this to be a computer replacement for everyone but for a lot of folks it can be. If you just use your computer for email, browsing, shopping and social media you could easily replace your computer with this iPad and have a much better experience. That being said, I need a computer and my iPad Pro is more of a complimenting device. I got rid of my MacBook and use Macs at home and the office. The iPad mini is my device of choice on the go. The speakers/screen are amazing which makes it better for watching movies/tv when I'm traveling or not at home as well. I'm really impressed with how thin it is. Very easy to hold. I know there are a lot of industry specific uses for the iPad Pro but I just like having a super fast iPad with a great display. The Apple Pencil is a nice touch for marking up drawings or editing proposals.

I had the 2nd Gen 12.9 iPad Pro for 5 years, but wanted to see if the performance was better on the new chip models. Comparisons below The Good - amazing screen quality - enhanced sound (but I mostly listen through headphones) - Lightning fast - crushes tasks that my older iPad struggled with - feels slightly lighter than the old one The bad - smaller bezel somehow makes screen feel smaller (they are the same size, I measured) - price is right at the edge of what I would pay, but I guess Apple know that which is why they make them 'just so' expensive. Loses 1 star for being so expensive Overall I am really glad I upgraded, and expect this to last me another 5 years
