    When I bought this, I bought it to be able to charge my ipad. The ipad I bought from one of those pawn shops, but the ipad did not come with a charging brick. It just came with a cord to be able to connect it to a computer. So I had to buy this to be able to charge the ipad mini from a power source. Its a pretty decent and reliable charging unit

    This newer version power adapter is the same one that now comes included with the newest lightning connector iPads released in late 2012. If you are like me, and are ordering a spare adapter, make sure you get the 12W version. It is replacing the 10W version and will charge all your iOS devices - just a little faster the the old 10W version will.

    Needed to buy a replacement for my original Apple iPad power adapter. I did not know that original parts were available, I thought I would have to buy a cheap Belkin product. I was pleased to see that Best Buy carried the exact replacement that I needed. It's just a simple power adapter but I like to buy genuine replacements.

    With 3 iPads and 4 iPhones in our family, having extra chargers in different rooms of the house is a must. Fortunately this charger is available for purchase, and works on all versions of the iPad. The price was reasonable, we could walk into the store and get it, and should we ever need another, we know Best Buy will have more.

    Little known secret is that you can use a higher wattage iPad charging block to rapid charge an iPhone. The iPhone block that comes with the phone is very slow to charge. Works great! Very happy. I bought an OEM product once, and it was faulty. Will always buy authentic Apple products from now on
