I purchased this power adapter as a spare, and for travel. Just in case there is no access to a USB port.

Needed this for my wife to extend her charger by combining it with her cord from her Mac.

Capability minimizes number of required Apple power adapters/chargers as it works with all iPod, iPad, and iPhone. Sometimes I think the industry TRIES to sell a new power adapter/charger with each product to generate more income: what a waste of resources. "One size fits all" should be the way to go.

I picked this up because it charges my XS faster than the included power block and was alot cheaper than buying Apple's fast charging stuff

Anything from Apple is a great product, I lost my last one and needed a new one, so it worked out good.

This powers my phone up far more than the 5W that comes with the phone. Beware though if you plan on buying a new iPhone soon as apple is rumored to be bundling an even faster charger in with the new phones for free.

I will only buy Apple chargers for my Apple products. The cheap ones are just a waste of money and time.

It does the job better than I expected. The kids love that their charger actually works

It charges my phone and iPad so fast. It is faster than the regular charger. I always forget to charge my phone the night before and end up charging in the morning. It charges about a hour and my phone has about 70% battery which lasts throughout the whole day for me. Good to have! :)

I dont use after market product , because of the cause of million problems. that's why i got this :)

I left my charger at home, and needed a quick replacement. Why are these so expensive?

It's better than the small one that take longer to recharge and generate more heat on larger devices

I bought this charger on top of my 5W adapter because I need an all around one who can charge any gadget on the fly. It's good for traveling as well since you only have to bring a single adapter and you can also change the duckhead for ease of charging in other countries.

when buying ports to replace old ones spend the extra money and buy apple brand ones.

Bought in conjunction with the power adapter extension cable. Great combination for extra length.

I have several of these scattered around the house with Lightning cables attached to them. There are a couple varieties of this adapter that look the same but have slightly differing wattages. The 12v one gives the fastest recharge on more demanding devices like the iPad Pro.

Addition to the electronics I travel with. Worth the extra money for my convenience.

fragile, easy to break, diminished power with every charge - these are NOT words to describe my Apple charger. Sure, you could pay less for a no name/where did they make it knock off unit. But when you really need to recharge do you have time to face disappointment?
