Optical drives these days are a necessity and Apple never should’ve removed the optical drive from their products.

Bought this for my parents

While they will need to learn the Mac OS, most of the programs are straight forward and simple to use. OS updates have been a problem with MicroSoft lately, the last set of automatic updates keep fouling up the machine so bad it wouldn't restart.
