I needed a new computer anyway as my 2011 MacBook Pro was moving slow. So, I picked this up on sale and I have been pleased ever since. I keep a lot of tabs open while working and it holds up well with little to no lag. I debated getting the larger screen size, but this was plenty big enough for my space.

This is a great iMac, It’s very easy to operate, I really like the screen. I thought I was going to be intimidated by the size but it turns out it’s the best investment I have ever done when it comes to computers. I am not very savvy with computers, however, this iMac is very easy to work with.

I bought this iMac when it was on sale - a great value - but the hard drive in it is uggggghhhh. This was resolved (and the current iMacs come standard with) an SSD drive. After upgrading RAM and the hard drive, this iMac is a very good choice and cost effective compared to the Pro, with Pro-level performance.

This iMac may not be the top of the line but for what I need it for it's perfect. The 4K retina display is amazing and unit runs smoothly. Setting up was very easy...basically following the directions when you first start it. Overall, perfect computer for someone who is new to iMacs.

I’ve been a Windows person my whole life because of ease of use. I needed a new computer for games and file work. It Is one of the easiest transitions I have ever had. It runs quickly and the 4K Retina display is drool worthy! Plus it takes up very little space.

My IMac died after 10 years so I got this one. It is nice product. Easy to use. My husband download all the documents to new Mac from old one so I didn’t have to do any setting again. I use internet for work so speed is impotant for me. So far it works well.

Got this a few weeks ago since I started working from home and was tired of working from my laptop. So far it’s pretty good, has a lot of programs, easy to navigate, runs nicely. Only bad thing I can say is it takes forever to update. Other than that I’m happy with this purchase.

This was a replacement for my 11 year old Mac which was slowing down. This one is both lighter and faster than the old one and has a beautiful display. I updated to Big Sur and added more memory and am very happy with this machine.

I bought a new Mac desktop computer a week ago. My old one died after 12 years. My new one is such an improvement. The screen is clearer, the speed is much faster, the sound is great. Worth every penny and I should have replaced my old Mac next sooner!!!!

Let me start by saying that I'm a big fanboy of all Mac products going back to the early 2000s when Steve Jobs first came back. I have diligently bought just about every iPod, iPhone, iMac, iPad, MacBook Pro/Air, PowerMac, and Mac Pro machines that you can think of.
That said, I bought this iMac to replace my ancient 2009 Mac Pro since I could no longer update it to the latest OS X. Since I didn't want to spend close to $4500 for a comparable Mac Pro - the "trash can" Mac Pro was the only option available at the time of purchase, I decided to go with this iMac in what I thought would be a good compromise between quality and price. I am not a video editor or sound guy that in theory, would need a Mac Pro (although I do love the look of the new 2020 Mac Pros).
Boy I was wrong! I first transferred all the data from my Mac Pro to this iMac using Time Machine and iCloud so that I could pick up exactly where I had left off on the Mac Pro. This process went smoothly but then, my troubles began. Sometimes the iMac would freeze up with the dreaded "beach ball" and only a hard reboot would resolve it. It became so unusable that in the end, I had to reset my iMac back to factory settings. Even after that, the iMac has average performance and it still freezes from time to time. I'm very technical so I knew that the memory cannot be easily upgraded without tearing up the entire machine (bad design from Apple). And this is where the main trouble lies - the 8GB of RAM memory is shared with the video memory. I thought that this was sufficient for everyday use but apparently you need more.
My recommendation would be that you really look at the specs and do not skimp on RAM. If an option is available, upgrade to a video card that does not share memory with the RAM memory.
Aesthetically, this machine is solid with all the main ports you'll need. Apple has long abandoned FireWire and has added USB 3.0 and USB-C ports instead. I wished there were more as there are never enough to connect all my gadgets.
Sadly, Apple has missed the mark on this one!

Easy to setup and works like a mac should. It just works. The screen is nice and clear. Macs do cost more, but you get what you pay for. I've been using it to remote in to me work computer, which is a pc, and it has worked fine.

Coming from a 2010 IMac I think we have a nice product here and it’s faster. The 4k display is great and it’s clearer and easier to view. It has everything the 2010 model had but it runs the newest operating systems. I’m happy!

I have put off purchasing the Apple 21.5" iMac, but my son & granddaughters all have one, and assured me I would really like it. I am very pleased with how fast it is and the color with retina 4K.

I’ve had this desktop for about 8 months so far and no issues, this machine is great the volume sounds like a small stereo and the picture is stunning. Easy to setup and use love that there is no modem like other desktops.
