Retina display is fantastic - no more eye strain! Overall impressed with the performance of the hardware. Only downside is that some applications have not updated their software to take advantage of the 5k display.

Just got this to replace a first gen 27" in the studio for running Pro Tools. It's running like a champ. Plenty of power and it's great to get the high track visibility by running it at the highest resolution.

This machine can do it all! Very user friendly and simple to understand. The retina display is worth the extra money, especially if your vision isn't perfect like mine. Best computer I've ever purchased!

I love the simplicity of the setup being an IT professional that has to deal with PC based server setups daily. The 5k Retina display is awesome. I am currently working with video editing software and the screen size and resolution make this easier to do.

Love this computer! It's fast, easy to use and was especially easy to hook up. Was up and running right out of the box. My only complaint is that because they have slimmed it down so much, if you want to use a cd or DVD, you have to buy a separate little box.

This is an excellent computer for the price. Gorgeous 5K screen, gives a lot of real estate for multi-tasking. The text is sharp and crystal clean. This is however not a gaming machine. It was not built as one, you can still play but not with ultra high settings chased by the enthusiasts at r/PCMasterRace. The biggest surprise were the built in speakers. They sound fantastic for their size, not much bass but they do sound very clear and I was able to distinguish between different music compression ratios. All in all a good purchase, especially with the Best Buy discounts.

This is my first Mac product in a while, and it's nice to be back. Easy setup, excellent display, and of course Apple's great ease of use. I look forward to doing a lot of photo editing with it.

Not my first iMac but certainly the best! Easy setup and transfer of old iMac files via ethernet cable. WiFi was too slow. Amazing screen and processing speed. Could be the last one I ever need.

It does everything it says and more....such a versatile pc that can handle any situation with ease....from listening to music to surfing the web. The retina 5k display is so clear and high def that I even prefer looking at it instead of my 65 in TV!!!

Got this a couple years ago, so far this computer has been amazing! Zero issues, still extremely fast. Screen looks amazing especially when watching 4K video from YouTube. I also use it to edit my videos and gets the job done.

This this is amazing and possibly the best computer Ive ever owned. I love everything about it including the awesome keyboard and mouse that come with the unit. Once the apple warranty expires I plan on upgrading the RAM since it is actually very easy process. The Hybrid drive on these apple computers is 128GB Flash and the rest is traditional HD, for the price - my only complaint is that it should've been a 2TB drive instead of 1TB. I will probably need to buy an external HD, which is unfortunate since it will be harder to integrate into iPhoto and iTunes

This is my third iMac and love this more than all; for obvious reasons. It's fast, excellent graphics and should last as long as the last two; about 7 years. Try to get that from a windows PC.

My first Apple computer and it's great. Can't say enough about the 5k picture and it's pretty easy to use for the person who is not a computer expert.

Upgraded to this iMac from the one with the smaller screen that I purchased back in '07. This one is so much faster, has way more room and the screen in beautiful! I will continue to purchase apple products as they serve my needs quite well.

So far, I'm pleased with this purchase. I have a more powerful iMac in my home office, and this one is able to handle all my requests. I have two monitors attached to this computer and have multiple programs open at one time with no issues.

A must have for videos, editing, blogging and engineering work. This computer is super fast, has a ton of storage and is nice and big to make dealing with several things at once easy.

I am really enjoying the new Apple iMac. The 5K Retina display is beautiful. I love the new thinner design. The iMac boots up and runs extremely fast. I would high recommend this.

Great graphics, easy to use. For the price I wish it would have included a dvd drive and not need to purchase as an accessory.

I've always been a pc user. After researching and having purchased other apple products I gave it a try.. I'm so happy with the screen the speed and so much more. It is definitely a quality product. I could not be more satisfied.

The Retina 5k is well worth the price differential. Resolution is outstanding. Processor is fast and up to date with today's standards.
