The Video Card On This Machine Is Reason Enough To buy this iMac compared to other hardware. 4GB of VRAM makes a pretty big difference if you work in any adobe product, design or graphics industry. It’s even more important to make sure any of the iMac machines you might by have the specs (or more) than you need since they have made it nearly impossible to upgrade any hardware since moving to a sealed case (but as well proprietary bios). The only exception to this is the RAM, which I did upgrade to 24GB. PS make sure if you are upgrading the ram to get two sticks or a pair (ie: if you want to add 16gb of ram to existing ram (total of 24),you would buy 2 8GB sticks). Was able to use Progressive leasing for the purchase which is awesome as we will be paying it off in the 90 days. Make The Investment. Can’t Go Wrong With Apple (unless you want to upgrade something lol).

We needed to upgrade an older model and Best Buy did a price match to an online price. The new machine is so much faster than our old model.

This far exceeded my expectations of what I had in mind. While I have been a Windows user up until now, it’s so nice to be an iPhone user and be able to use them both so fluidly. I edit photos, and the picture is so clear and vivid. This was a great purchase, and will most likely be a Mac user from here on out!

The drives on this generation are much faster than the previous. The 8 Gig model suits us fine for running Quickbooks, and all the Office apps. Display is great. The previous iMac started having screen flicker issues after 5 years. Otherwise was fine. That's a good lifespan. Hope to get that form this one.

Easy set up, easy to use. I have owned two Macs prior and knew when I needed an upgrade that I would get another. Best Buy had great options to choose from and had the one I wanted in stock. I love the screen size as it allows me to have several items open and see them all at the same time.

this is the best computer for photography editing and it works great for drone videos and pictures.

I've been a "pretty much" exclusive Mac user since 2011. I say "pretty much" because I do still have to use Windows to run a couple of specific programs for work. I've owned and used a few different Mac laptops and desktops, and have been very happy with all of them. This machine is no different. The display is large and has excellent resolution. The Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 provide excellent control and input. The performance specs of the hardware exceed any sort of day-to-day requirements that anyone could have and will stretch into the higher-performance categories when needed. The 5K Retina machines also allow for some user upgrades (like RAM) which can be very helpful. I am giving four stars because of the following specific reasons: - Price. This is an Apple thing. I appreciate that Apple requires everyone to sell their products at basically the same price. What I dislike is that the required price is way too high for what the components are. Then again, the machine will get software updates for years to come. - Lack of hard drive upgradeability. Changing out the mechanical / spinning drive to a completely solid state one isn't something that I can do as the end user even though I am perfectly capable of not only doing the physical installation but the transfer of data and even re-installation of the operating system. This is coupled with the fact that Best Buy does not carry any of the machines with full SSD (Solid State Drive) technology - if you want that, you have to buy it direct from Apple. - Mis-leading specifications on the Best Buy site. Every single iMac lists "SSD" as the hard drive type on Best Buy's site and this is completely false. These machines use what is called a "Fusion" or "Solid State Hybrid Drive" (SSHD), yet Best Buy lists them as SSD. The difference is that the SSHD that the machine uses is a combination of a mechanical / spinning drive AND a SSD. Only about 10% of the total storage resides on the SSD. The operating system and the most frequently accessed files will remain on the SSD - everything else ends up on the mechanical drive. SSD's are great for lower power use and potentially longer life before a possible failure. SSD's are also generally faster for reading data (booting up, opening docs, etc.). The SSHD provides some speed-up, but the bulk of your data will end up being on the mechanical drive. The bottom line: If you're looking for a well-performing, reliable, and flexible Mac - you've found it. If you need a high-performance version of a Mac, go directly to Apple to get one with the heavy upgrades already built in.

Absolutely amazing product the screen puts out the best quality and most vibrant image I have seen on a computer. Lightning speed, can run multiple windows with ease. Spectacular multi tasking. Absolute must have for a business owner, it will make your life a breeze.

I am use to Power Mac's in the past for needed performance in graphic design... I was a little concerned the I Mac would not meet the performance I would need. However my new 27' I Mac exceeds expectation, the only up grade was gong to 24 Gig of memory, I love it!

Starting new job and needed a computer that was user friendly. Apple is user friendly.

This is a good quality product that their workers can stand behind. I'm glad I paid the money for this one instead of going back to Microsoft. I always had problems with Microsoft due to its constantly getting viruses, Trojan, worms, and needing to update all the time. I don't have any problems like that with this one but it is the one that doesn't hook up to all the cool apps because it's a business computer not a gaming computer. That being said it doesn't lead to all the things that could give you those viruses. The picture quality is so beautiful and you can still watch movies on it listen to music so I got to say I'm the happiest I've ever been with a computer. I highly recommend this one. This is a winner.

Had a 2009 iMac that had seen its better days. Purchased the 27” and the increased viewing is unsurpassed. Glad I got the larger screen. Runs flawless and Geek Squad did a fantastic job of transferring data and setting it up! Very pleased.

This is my second iMac. I loved my first one for nine years. This new Mac is remarkably better in every way. It's beautiful, reliable, and fast. It's everything you want in a computer. Wouldn't dream of getting another brand.
