I decided on getting a iMac after being a Macbook user since 2006. I was very underwhelmed with this iMac. First, the lack of ram (8gb) is really limiting. With just a few apps open the iMac will really start to slow down. Second the Fusion Drive is super slow. Apps take for ever to load. If I tried to load Microsoft excel, there would be about a 6 second pause before there was indication that the app was opening. Third, the keyboard and mouse feel terrible. I ended up adding more ram. Since the storage is not accessible without taking the screen off. I decided to run the OS and my apps off an expensive thunderbolt SSD which is about 3x faster than using the internal storage. These changes made the system tolerable. I sold my 3 year old PC to my little brother before I purchased the iMac and I regret it because that CPU was superior to this iMac. Recently, one of the usb ports stopped working. This is a concern because there is only 4 ports. I spent 3 hours on the phone with apple support. A worthless trip to simply mac. And then had to carry the PC thru the crowded mall where the Genius Bar worker did some reset and got it working. Well it failed again. I have spent 5 hours on a silly port. If it's faulty then the whole logic board will have to replaced. I am an Apple fan, but except for the nice screen, this iMac really isn't that good. If you have to pay over $2k to get the better SSD and ram, then I bet you can get the LG 5k monitor along with a higher performance PC. I will be selling my iMac after I get the port fixed.

Have suffered many years with windows and finally bit the bullet and bought an apple (with encouragement from wife). If MS is on Windows 10, I believe apple is on Windows 25. I had no idea that life would be this good with an iMac and could kick myself in the pants for not doing this a long time ago. After using this machine I hate to even call my former HP 27 inch all-in-one a computer.

This is my second iMac. I bought my first iMac 10 years ago. When I saw this on sale, I had to get it. Of course it's alot faster than my older iMac and the having USB-C and USB 3.0 outlets is really a plus if you have a second monitor and if you have external hard drives connected. I highly recommend this product especially if you have the Apple Watch and iPhone. All three work together seamlessly.

This is a really nice product. Apple builds high quality computers that way outlast even the high end windows products. Unlike the macbooks, the iMac's are user upgradable at least the SSD and RAM which will keep this unit current for a long time. Best Buy has the "best" pricing on Apple products. I now purchase all my electronics at Best Buy instead of Amazon. Lower prices, free shipping, and price matching.

Computer works fast, love how easy it is to do multiple things on one screen

Love this Mac. The screen size is 27 so you have plenty of viewing space for Videos or for multitasking and having several windows open simultaneously. Excellent processing power for video editing or photos. Forget the hang ups and programs shutting down or viruses. This thing is a beast and very reliable. Quality is like any Mac, you know as soon as you open the box why you paid this much.

I had an iMac that was powered up from 2007 until 2017. 10 years. Always on! No viruses. No problems. Until the power supply finally went caput! :) After two years, we finally replaced. It's bigger, faster, and the is simply SPECTACULAR! Best Buy really backed up their sale to us as well, after we unfortunately made an initial purchase that was a bit misleading. Thanks Best Buy! Wonderful product and incredible service.

This is a nice upgrade from my 2011 model iMac 27. The monitor is much sharper and overall the new iMac is a better performer. This upgrade is a win win as the old iMac will be passed along to a granddaughter after upgrading the hard drive. It was a hard decision to give up a computer that performed very well do eight years but I am very satisfied that I took the plunge for the upgraded and eight years newer computer

This is my first iMac. I can see why people that own iMacs love them. The apple ecosystem is amazing. I love how I can do everything from my computer that I do with my phone. Is it worth the price? I don’t think so. Would I buy it again? I’m not sure. I don’t think I could spend another $2000 on a computer. Love the computer, don’t love the price.

Replaced a 2014 iMac and it’s SOOO much faster. Screen is huge and very clear.

Even at the full price of $1,799, this would be an awesome value compared to buying a 15” MacBook Pro and a 27” 4K monitor, plus all the dongles needed to achieve equivalent functionality. At the Black Friday price of $1,599, it was a steal! And did I mention that I easily upgraded the RAM from 8GB to 32GB by simply opening a small hatch in the back and popping the new memory cards in? No tools needed.

Beautiful display with all the perks of having a mac. Love being able to upgrade the ram.

We purchased this computer a year ago. The screen quality is bright, great definition, and the size is perfect for viewing small details. The sound quality is excellent. The keyboard is comfortable to use. When Performing a cold boot it boots up fast. For a Computer that is as large as it is it is very light weight. The computer does not get hot when using it for long periods of time. Now the negatives the mouse is hard to clean underneath so you don’t get the best responsiveness. When the computer is in sleep mode sometimes there is extra lag time for it to wake up. It requires to be rebooted every other day for the best performance. I would still recommend this product for anybody that loves Apple computers or wants a computer that is easy to use.

This machine is so powerful not even funny ! I had this iMac for Almost a year in use it everyday for my business and I still discover new cool stuff that it does. Well spend money no regrets to the contrary. Love it, is fast, the optics are out of this world and the best part you don’t need to purchase Microsoft office because it comes with similar software.

I brought this iMac to replace my old one. It is better than my first one. This is faster and the visual is better with the 5k. The only thing I did not like was that it did not have a disc drive like the previous model had. I just brought the super drive and it was complete. The speakers on here give off great sound and downloads go really fast. Highly satisfied with this purchase!!!!!

I had an Alienware for 9 years and decided to upgrade to this beauty right here. My phones in that couple years were iPhones so the switch wasn’t difficult. Same icons and apps but the response, ease, and clarity is just awesome. Plus, BestBuy had the Christmas Holiday discount $200 off so it was a no brainer. I couldn’t be more impressed. Thank you for making my Christmas so awesome.

This has an excellent display. Easy to set up and operate. So glad we went with a MAC.
