Impressive, but not AS impressive as we'd thought
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been Mac owners for quite some time - well over a decade. We were super stoked to get our new iMac. We have been quite impressed over its gorgeous display and how sleek it looks and operated. However, we have noticed a noticeable downgrade as to performance, especially compared with the speed in which our older Macs performed when they were new. We were ready to be blown away by the performance, figuring it would have been mind-blowing - especially after not having purchased a new Mac in over 9 years. But, our minds weren't blown. It has performed adequately, at best. Zoom videos are absolutely wonderful on it, though, making us wonder if Apple and Zoom have a secret alliance going on. Also, we do wish the keyboard that came alone with this would have been the longer/extended one with the numeric pad. But, Apple being Apple, they have to find a way to skimp you, somehow, even though you're paying top-dollar for their products. It was also interesting to see that their accessories haven't really progressed much: the keyboard and mouse are, basically, the same they have been for a LONG time. It works, though. So, I guess it's a "don't fix what ain't broken' kinda deal. You just expect more when you're paying so much for an iMac - especially considering the illustrious "Apple" name. Overall, though, we're satisfied. Just not blown away.

Amazing!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this computer! I will soon be transitioning from working in an office, to working at home due to a relocation. I’m used to working with two screen in the office, so I needed a fast computer, with a big screen That would allow me to use split screen. Being that I have an iPhone, watch, and iPad, I though it would be great to have an iMac, so all of my important notes would show across all devices. It all works so seamlessly! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anybody.

The iMac of the Future!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been very impressed. The speed is very fast when going to and from programs. The screen display is amazingly flawless! Love the all in one benefits as it barely takes up any space. Mouse and keyboard have a very long charge lifespan and both are very well made. Love how it learns my habits and interests and begins to customize to me. The connection from my iPhone to the iMac is seemless!

Apple iMac 27 inch
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not able to go into the store to purchase, but luckily there was the Best Buy online chat. I had 3 choices and was able to get one that fit my needs. The graphics are awesome and set up was so simple I thought something was wrong. This iMac is wireless and the monitor is so much thinner than a decade ago. A very sleek and easy to use computer. I have always purchased an iMac and have been pleased with them.

Transition from PC to Mac was So Smooth!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using the Windows Migration Assistant moved all user files from my old Dell to Mac without any issues at all. It took a bit getting used to the new interface but within a few days, it felt natural. The display is what sold me.

It’s an Apple IMac!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product if you’re an Apple fan. The only negative is that the Catalina OS only supports 64 bit programs. Many of my old 32 bit games are not playable. Online purchase and pick up at Best Buy was excellent, and had they had the lowest price in town.

Christmas
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture really fast. I bought this for my wife for Christmas. She's blind but the accessibility is excellent for her. It speaks to her so she can navigate through it all. Tryed other computers and laptops but nothing compares.

Over priced even getting it on sale
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had it for a few months now doing music production work and in terms of work flow, its no different from working on a PC. Over priced for what you're getting in terms of hardware. I don't recommend upgrading RAM through Apple.

Not very good
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided on getting a iMac after being a Macbook user since 2006. I was very underwhelmed with this iMac. First, the lack of ram (8gb) is really limiting. With just a few apps open the iMac will really start to slow down. Second the Fusion Drive is super slow. Apps take for ever to load. If I tried to load Microsoft excel, there would be about a 6 second pause before there was indication that the app was opening. Third, the keyboard and mouse feel terrible. I ended up adding more ram. Since the storage is not accessible without taking the screen off. I decided to run the OS and my apps off an expensive thunderbolt SSD which is about 3x faster than using the internal storage. These changes made the system tolerable. I sold my 3 year old PC to my little brother before I purchased the iMac and I regret it because that CPU was superior to this iMac. Recently, one of the usb ports stopped working. This is a concern because there is only 4 ports. I spent 3 hours on the phone with apple support. A worthless trip to simply mac. And then had to carry the PC thru the crowded mall where the Genius Bar worker did some reset and got it working. Well it failed again. I have spent 5 hours on a silly port. If it's faulty then the whole logic board will have to replaced. I am an Apple fan, but except for the nice screen, this iMac really isn't that good. If you have to pay over $2k to get the better SSD and ram, then I bet you can get the LG 5k monitor along with a higher performance PC. I will be selling my iMac after I get the port fixed.

Amazing screen and works smoothly
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent computer for work and media. I bought this for those two purposes, but I can’t get over how great this design still looks over the years. The 5k screen is beautiful and the operating system is the best out there. I do have a few issues though that don’t necessarily ruin the experience for me, but it could for you. The keyboard is nice looking and all the lack of wires makes the setup look slick, but it is not backlit... in 2020. When you pay a lot for a nice looking computer, you expect a little more. I ended up buying a backlit wireless one that looks identical to Mac from Matias. The mouse is no better. It has a nice look and feel, but the lack of individual buttons and a scroll wheel make browsing fee less natural. Finally, the speakers. They sound very echoey. Maybe they can be tweaked but I would recommend pairing some AirPods Pro or other Bluetooth device to get some quality audio. I know it sounds like I didn’t enjoy my purchase but there are far more many pros that I didn’t mention than the cons. It’s definitely a computer that anyone could pick up and use for work or media. Not necessarily for gaming though.

Perfect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this computer! I have my own business JazzyJayChlos on Etsy and I was using a MacBook but my machine for making decals and shirts and stuff was set up in my room so I wanted a desktop and me being a huge Apple fan wanted to try a Mac. The screen is so big that it makes designing super simple! Even my little kids like it because I can put YouTube on and it can play really loud. The picture quality is top notch. The mouse and keyboard I have only charged one time and that was by choice not because they were dying so they have a great battery span. The only one small thing i dislike is to get the mouse from one end of the screen to the other it takes two drags but that may be the type of work space I’m using and not the computers fault. Over all I’m thrilled with my purchase and if your thinking about getting one DO IT! Don’t wait you won’t regret it. Also it’s fast by the time you hit enter it’s already there!
