Get iMac - Be Happy!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new iMac is years beyond any other computer in our household. The graphics are clear, precise and brilliant. I bought the computer strictly for writing my manuscripts and song lyrics. The Garage Band Studio program that came preinstalled on the iMac is perfect for capturing my original songs. The preinstalled video program is sharp and bright. Many free Apple apps and bonuses make the iMac invaluable to artists and writers and a must have as an everyday computer. Get one - it will pay for itself in not having to buy several cheap computers over time.

What an improvement over our 2011 iMac!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can't say enough good about the new iMac. The 27" screen is far superior to the 21" screen, and the ability to upgrade RAM to 64 gigs is also a big plus. I highly recommend this model as iy does everything I want plus more.

Fantastic screen...but wish it was touch screen
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned an apple 16 inch MacBook Pro because not worth it since neither touchscreen or 2-1 system. I mean come on Apple make one or the other or both. I got the desktop since it is easier to use without needing touchscreen capability. I am not an Apple laptop or desktop user, my first foray into this medium...steep learning curve but getting there. As others say the graphics is fantastic as is the editing capability. I bumped up the memory configuration to 64GB by buying and installing my own memory sticks, a substantial savings over ordering it configured this way. This Apple desktop bought with intention of Making it easier to back up all the family IPADS, will see...have not gotten around to do so yet. This is another reason for returning the MacBook Pro as it required new cables just to connect your iPad. The fusion drive is slow and major bottleneck but is a cost savings over an SSD configured iMac. The bottleneck can be solved mostly but using the thunderbolt connections with an external SSD. So far I like the iMac even with the learning curve of learning a new system from my history of Windows based system...exciting!

Best Stock iMac Option
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was holding out upgrading my Mac mini 2012 at home when I heard there was a rumor Apple was going to move to a newer core option with more cores. I was glad I did because this thing is an absolute beautiful beast! If you take the components and price them out individually, the price of this iMac isn't all that much different from a DIY system. The 5K display is amazing, colors are bright and vivid and watching 4K content is fantastic! This is the only model that comes stock with a 2TB Fusion Drive - you can order other builds from Apple if you want, but you'll be waiting a week or more. I hacked my old Mac mini 2012 and created a 2TB Fusion Drive to hold my family's entire iTunes library. I know that the push lately has been more on streaming, but I like having movies and TV show's locally available for syncing / streaming at home to give the WiFi a break. The other reason to go with the 27" model is these are the only ones that the RAM is user-upgradable. 8GB might work for now, but I like that I have the option to push it out more if I want down the road without paying the premium price Apple charges for more RAM. If you're on the fence about the iMac - take my advice and dive in. I love mine... and now my kids have a Mac mini for their own for their school work!

Apple at its best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Updated from a 2012 27” iMac that had slowed to a crawl. Night and day difference! The Retina display is absolutely stunning. Apps open almost instantaneously. I like the new rechargeable mouse, but hate the new keyboard. It is too small, lacks a numerical keyboard (which certainly ought to be included at this price level), and doesn’t have extendable ‘feet’, so it lays flat on the desk. Fortunately I have a Logitech K750 that solves those problems (highly recommended). I saved $250 during Christmas and took advantage of 18-month no-interest financing, which made the cost more bearable. All in all extremely happy with my purchase.

Love the experience and speed
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first time owning an iMac and so far so good. The screen is massive which I thought I'd hate. But, I've already fallen in love with having that much real estate to work with. And, while the 8 GB is low, the speed pretty good considering. I haven't had problems running multiple intensive programs at once. Plus you can add more RAM yourself -- just pop off the panel in the back. Which I think I'll do just because I can. Great experience so far. No regrets! My only issue is with price. Which is always the case with Apple. But, as a heavy tech user and an Apple brand junkie -- it's worth the investment to have all your devices sync seamlessly.

Absolutely nothing to complain about.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design has been around awhile, but it’s still great. This configuration is quick, efficient and perfect for my needs. (Note: I modified configuration from 8gb to 32gb RAM from a third party seller at much more reasonable prices than those offered by Apple!). This will keep me going for several years.

Very nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am extremely pleased. I am actually a little surprised how punchy this is with the processor, but it is has handled all my professional video editing needs well. I did do a ram upgrade since I do video. Great machine and lovely display.

Great Model
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our second iMac. We bought this because our old model, although still functioning without issue, just became slow with all the newer software. We also wanted the bigger screen and Fusion drive for faster start. This model is so much faster than before, it's really hard to describe.....would definitely recommend!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second MAC. The first one lasted ten years and still works, but decided it was time to upgrade. It's fast and easy to navigate and the crystal clear desktop is second to none! Highly recommended

Excellent Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy with the overall addition to our Apple Family. The RAM upgrade was simple, easily accessible, and reasonably priced @ $140 for 32 GB (2 x 16GB); the OS picked up the upgrade instantly. This particular model is cheaper from Apple, but BestBuy did price match my order. So shop around, they had to match the model, configurations and build to a 't', but it was the same so I saved $250 with the price match. The only downside to purchasing through Best Buy is not being able to upgrade to the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad for +$50 vs purchasing the item separately and having two keyboards. I also waited to purchase AppleCare directly from Apple, but that is only a preference. Apple did have difficulty locating my unit initially for AppleCare, but after ~20min online with Apple they were able to get the system to recognize the device and I was able to continue with the purchase of AppleCare. For the most part little nuances with the purchase through Best Buy, but it was worth it in the end because i was able to apply a $500 Best Buy gift card using Marriott Bonvoy points. Apple missed out on the sale because seemingly all other Apple stuff is part of the program including iTunes gift cards but no Apple Store Gift cards unless they are one in the same and I was not trying to learn the hard way that they are not. The ship time was 3 days and free so overall this is a win/win.

Another great iMac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a 2015 model. It was started to slow down and have some memory issues so I decided it was time for an upgrade. I use my iMac for everything from Adobe software to Logic Pro X. I used a third party site to upgrade to 64GB RAM and it is lightning fast.

2019 Model = FAST
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 2017 model in February and exchanged it for the 2019 model when Apple secretly released it. I’m elite with Best Buy (000oooh!) so I had a 45-day return policy - it was a close call. I’m so glad I did because the 2019 version is much faster than its predecessor. I upgraded to 64GB of RAM thanks to Amazon’s cheap RAM prices - this thing is FAST!

iMac is Great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a PC for many years and just bought the 27" iMac. I have used an iPhone and iPad for many years and often had problems. Having the iMac makes things so seamless. There will definitely be a learning curve for you, but it is well worth the effort. There are classes you can take at the Apple Store on a myriad of subjects. Take advantage of this free service. The graphics are amazing and organizing your photos is so much easier on the iMac. I've always had problems downloading pictures, and editing them on a PC. I'm very happy with the iMac.

My First I-Mac
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Mac purchase for my personal use. I am much happier with this than my old windows product. Exceptionally fast Crate for video editing and my hubby which is digital photography. I have already up to the operating room to 64 GB easy to update on my own.
