    Only 12% faster than 12W w/Lightning to USB A

Sure I like the quick 30min boost as the A11 chip phones (and A10X iPad Pro 2nd Gen) can take advantage of a PD (Power Delivery Profile) of 14.5V/2A=29W other devices don't have and charge 50% in about 30min if not more. Problem is even outside any case, you can FEEL the heat and heat is the biggest enemy of battery life. Meanwhile I discovered it only is 12% faster than getting a $19 12W iPad charging block which I agree, is what SHOULD be included in these "phablet" sized phones like the iPhone 8 Plus I use this block for. Unfortunately I fell for the hype after already owning (2) 12W blocks for my iPhone 6 Plus and had sprung for the nice 2m Lightining to USB A cord vs. the 1m 3.3ft ones that never reach your nightstand that come with your iPhone. Save you money unless you want to have it as a backup for a Thunderbolt 3 Macbook Pro 2016-2018 (or borrow from your 2018 Mac Book Air). You'll have to shut down your MBP laptop to charge up a normally 61W or 87W laptop, but even the Anker PD and other 20,000mah juice packs only deliver 22W-45W PD and are safe to use, but same issue. They are not going to RUN a 15" MBP CPU with a 45W TDP, but you might sneak by with a 13"MBP 15W TDP. Just remember a 15" 2016-2018 MBP has a dedicated GPU that can kick in and use 35W by itself, so PD of 30W is useful, but more so as back up if your USB C 61W or 87W USB C block goes MIA. Least you can quick charge your iPhone 8/8+ or iPhone 10 and have a back up USB C laptop charger to mostly shut down a laptop and recharge the battery and use on battery until you find your 61W or 87W or get a new one? Otherwise save you money and treat yourself to a nice 6.6Ft (2m) Lightning to USB A cord and a 12W USB A $19 iPad brick and only loose 12% charging speed and also reduce the HEAT your phone battery will endure. It might actually make your battery last LONGER over the long run. Plus once at 80% the larger 29W block throttles back the PD profile anyway and you'll notice that last 20% takes significantly longer anyway. So spend $50 for a 29W block and $25 on a new 2m 6.6ft Lightning to USB C cord or spend $19 on a 12W iPad block and $25 on a 2m 6.6ft Lightning to USB A cable and save yourself $30 all over 12%. Like I said, only if you want a back up USB C laptop charger in a pinch, would I make that choice.

A Must Have For iPad Pro

Absolute must have for an iPad Pro. The 12 watt charger that came with my 12.9" iPad Pro is completely insufficient. Not only would charging the iPad often take more than 4 hours. When using the iPad even for light email or web browsing, the 12 watt charger could not stop battery drain and eventual shut off. The 29 watt charger makes the iPad Pro truly useful. A full charge is very fast - incredibly fast. And it quickly 'tops off' the iPad when in use. Apple should have included this charger with the iPad Pro (at least the 12.9" model). It is outrageous to spend over $1,000 on a tablet, plus Apple Pencil, plus case/keyboard and be given the totally inadequate and frankly useless 12 watt charger. With this charger and needed USB C charging cable, it adds almost another $75 to the iPad Pro purchase price.

    Spare Charger Adapter

When you're a full-time college student with two jobs, having a spare charger for your MacBook is a necessity. You can never go wrong with getting a spare Apple certified charger adapter for your MacBook. Nowadays Amazon or Ebay will have "cheaper" adapters but they're not as durable nor do they last long. Having a spare adapter with the usb-c cable has saved me time between jobs and classes because I'll always have one in my bag without having to worry about whether I forgot it at home when I'm on the move. It's especially convenient having the other charger plugged in at home on my desk without having to worry about whether I left my charger at work or in school and just being able to pull my laptop out and plug it in immediately. The size is good enough for me in terms of how fast it charges my MacBook and it's compact enough to carry around.

I decided to invest in this charger in order to more quickly charge my iPad Pro 12.9" first gen model. The charger that comes with the iPad is much too slow. After researching various chargers, I decided to purchase this item along with the 'usb-c to lightning' cable in order to speed up the charge time. I would say it cuts the charge time in half from 4 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 hours. I purchased the open-box items on these, so as to get the lowest price possible. If you like to charge your iPad in the middle of the day, I would buy these items together. If you always charge it overnight, you could probably get by with the charger included.

I’m so glad I purchased this charger. I got it because I was going on a trip and needed something fast. I already was charging my iPhone X with my iPad charger, so I was used to charging quickly. This is so much faster. It also charges my iPad Pro faster, too. It can also be used for the iPhone 8 & 8 plus The only negative I have is I needed to buy a specific cable adapter(usb-c to lightning), not the usual USB. I didn’t know at the time of purchase and I didn’t pay attention in my pre- purchase research. Going back to the store the very next day was annoying. Very happy with my purchase.

The USB-C power adapter works as advertised. When coupled with a USB-C cable, it powers my MacBook. Ironically enough, I am not sure if I really have any choice but to use this Apple product as I have not seen any generic equivalents available to power my MacBook. On the other hand, ensuring the power adapter supplies the correct current/voltage is important and I have never had an issue with an Apple-branded product of this nature, so any premium in price is worth it to me. I have a couple of these for the sake of convenience when moving the MacBook between home and work. Again, it is a simple product without any frills. It works as advertised.

I purchased this item and it definitely makes a big difference from the 5W entry level power adapter that Apple offers in the package which is totally ridiculous. You pay that much for their products and they basically give you nothing and give themselves profits, profits, profits from their most loyal customers. I know getting of the subject but it is a little pricey to purchase the cord and the power adapter but faster charger is worth I guess because I purchased it for that reason. I use it for my iPhone and iPad Pro.

I’ve had iPhones since the 3GS came out in 2008 and I still can’t get my phone charged any faster until now. This Apple 29 W USB-C power adapter is what you want. Two(2) times faster than the twelve watt adapter and six (6) faster than the 5 watt adapter that comes with the phone. It works with the Apple 3.3’USB type C lightning charging cable. This only works for the new iPhone X and iPhone Pro “ONLY”. This isn’t recommend for no other iPhone device. The battery will explode or burn up. But it works like a charm with these two devices.

This is the best adapter for the 12.9 iPad Pro!

This adapter is a must if you own a 12.9 inch iPad Pro. The included 12W adapter is rated at 5 hrs to fully charge the tablet. The 29W adapter when used with a USB-C cable "fast"charges the tablet in half the time. I have not had any problems with overheating or damage to the tablet. I have two of these adapters and they are a dream! I would also recommend getting a pencil charging cable to charge the Apple Pencil to avoid the somewhat unartful method of sticking the pencil directly into the tablet to charge it possibly damaging the pencil or the tablet in the process.

I bought this to use with my 10.5" iPad pro and iPhone 7+. I bought a USB-C to Lightning cable and plugged them both up. There is a definite increase in charging speeds on both devices, but the price you pay for that speed is a bit out of control. If I didn't need the quick charger, I might pass on this for perhaps another, cheaper option. I just have this thing with genuine Apple accessories since ive never had a problem with them. I gave it three stars because of the price.

Although this product works great and charges fast-charging devices well, it is yet another way too expensive Apple product. It is also frustrating that you have to purchase this along with a $20-$30 USB-C to lightning cable just to get fast charging for your new iPhone. That's annoying. Even with those things in mind I would still have to recommend this product because it does what it is intended to do and it does it well.

Def must have for the iPhone X fast charge. After reading a few reviews I was going to order the Anker fast charger but needed to use those points up which helped drop the price some on the Apple product. This coupled with the usb c to lightning cable brought my phone from dead to 50% in under 30 mins. The wireless charging pads are convienant but charge at the reg charging rate. Might as well plug it in and save money with the reg charger.

...you need this charger and the Apple USB-C to Lightening cable. The fast charge works on the 10.5" and 2015/2017 12.9" iPad Pro's - not the 9.7" iPad Pro model. Apple makes a quality product albeit at a premium price. The next gen iPhone will also feature fast charging so this item will be in very high demand! Highly recommend it.

This usb c charging plug is keeping my devices that have the usb c connection; starting to finally understand the backwards compatibility of USB cords and how with this plug it would drastically change my total wait time for them to charge. If you're willing to pay the extra buck for the new USB-c cords, go for it. For some that extra money spent can be equally as important as time you will gain from the speed and efficacy of this plug

This is the same charger included with the MacBooks. (Grey/Gold/Pink colored laptops) The charger that ships with the iPad pro doesn't have nearly the wattage this charger does. Used this charger to speed up the charging time for the iPad pro. Needed to purchase a USB-C to lightning cable separately. This cuts the charge time down to a fraction of the time it takes using the iPad Pro's included charger.

Great unit, same as the one that comes with a the Macbook 12 Retina Early 2015 computer. It is USB Type C. Pricey, but Apple stuff always is. Note of interest. If you purchase the additional "extension cord" ($19), it has a 3 prong plug where the Charger without the extension has only 2 prongs. This is really a problem as you will want to charge your Macbook in outlets that only have two outlets.

I wish this product was included with the (2nd Generation) iPad Pro...the stock 12 watt charger is horribly inadequate when it comes to charging the large battery on the device. I looked up on YouTube and found reviews and statistics on the 29 watt charger and it is true: you can fast-charge the new iPad Pro 12.9" up to 40% faster! Great purchase and I am very satisfied.

The charger which comes witht the iPad Pro 12.9 from apple charges the ipad too slowly . Reviews by others said that this more powerful adapter could work. Along with an apple usb C charge cable it has been working well thus far and does charge the ipad much faster. As it is a recent purchase only time will tell re continued efficiency and durability.

When I was in the store I ask a salesperson if this was the correct adapter to charge my ipad pro and was given a quick yes so I bought it and when I opened it after I got home my ipad cable would not plug into this so I figured it was the wrong one. When I took a look at my wifes ipad adapter I could see this one was different.

These things do what they're supposed to. They do wear out after a certain amount of time. Every Apple Laptop I have has needed to have this replaced. It would be nice if they lasted longer, but they don't. It's either the chord frays or in this last case, the unit just failed. But you're locked into spending the 80 or so bucks to get a new one.
