I have wasted a lot of money of cheap phone cords for my Apple products. Hands down, even though the cost is ridiculous, the official Apple brand charging cords are the best. If you don't want cord breakdown or malfunctioning cords due to cold weather, just spend the money.

I have a lot of cables in my house for charging my Apple products but most of them are no longer supported. It's frankly annoying. So, I've broken down and purchased authentic Apple cables. They work. They might cost a bit more, but they are guaranteed to keep working at least.

This is the typical Apple brand cable. They work really good. Eventually the sheath will wear out at the connections but that's to be expected. I don't buy the aftermarket cables anymore because those only last a week to a month. These last a good couple years for me.

I will only buy Apple chargers as I have purchased other brands and some from China and was unhappy with the length of time the cords lasted. Barely got a week from China products and about 2-3 months on other brands. Apple brand I average 10-12 months before having to replace.

Works perfectly. Great quality. Original Manufacturer product. Heavy rubber cord, charges fast. Don't buy off name brands like I have in the past - they never work properly. Spend the extra few dollars and buy original manufacture product - you won't regret it.

I have been using an aftermarket cable for the last few months, it was slow and didn't last very long. I had forgotten how fast I can charge my tablet with the original Apple cable and charger! I really recommend not buying cheap imitations, just go for the real thing!

This is a very good Apple cable. I have now purchased 2 of them so I can leave to use in different rooms. I don't mind paying a little bit more for a better cable since I have not had good luck with the cheaper brand ones. Great Product and charges very quickly.

After three years of constant use, my cable for charging my iPhone needed to be replaced. This product works as expected. It's always worth the extra cost to purchase the Apple products - expect this cable to last as long as my first one.

The Apple brand cables cost more but I have good luck with these cables when cheaper 3rd party cables tend to fail. I have purchased cheaper cables but sometimes they are not compatible with the Otterbox Defender case and/or the cable simply doesn't last long.

After trying a number of knock off Apple cables for my iPhone, I got tired of the not compatible warning alarms in the middle of the night and replacing it every other month. I haven't had a moment's problem with this cable; it does everything it is supposed to do.

It's nice to have options with Apple chargers since they're so prone to break. I don't really need a long charger so I bought this shorter one for cheaper. It's worked well so far but I know it'll turtleneck eventually and I'll have to get another one of these.

I love this cord. I had mine that came with the iPad for three years and finally had to replace it with this cord. I just knew I would pay $30 at least, but this cord was half of that, which is great because those cheap gas station cords are not good.

This Apple cable works just like the original... maybe a little better. I did not want to risk using an off-brand cable with my Apple products. It was worth it to spend a little more... I think maybe $5 more dollars... to get a reliable and trusted product.

great durability! glad I bought Apple brand usb cord. My last 3 cords, not Apple. My last generic named usb cords,may last 3 weeks. even after a teen girls sleepover- no signs of cord ready to crack. Apple brand accessory items are best for busy girls!

My initial one somehow won't work with my new Macbook Pro but this one does??? The initial one still works with my old MacPro, and the wall charger??? So rather than buy a knock off, I got the original Mac brand. It works fine with my new MBP.

figure might as well buy the best quality because I have seen so many people buy off brands and ends up before long going right back to buy another because wires are separating, at least with apple I know what I am getting the first time is good.

My kids often lose or misplace their cables or they usually ware out. Consequently, I find that I have to buy these every year or so. I prefer the Apple brand because I know it fits best with my apple devices. Other knock-offs usually don't work as well or last as long. I've bought these 2-3 times already and I'm happy with them.

Performs its appointed function, but overpriced (it's Apple!). As with all Apple cords, we have to be careful when inserting either end into its receptacle; with use, they will start to break off if you have twisted the cord at all. The 5-pin version does last longer than the 30-pin. I do appreciate the cord covering which inhibits any curling of the wire.
