    Works great … the only downside is that the magnetic hold does not seem as snug as the original charger we bought with laptop

    Just like the original adapter. Hopefully the rubber will stand up to a couple more years of use before starting to fray. They make relatively cheap accessories to prevent tearing at the flex points.
