Only buy the genuine product

It was a cheap knockoff that ended up frying the power board on the MacBook. Thank goodness that the Magsafe board was less than $100 otherwise we would be looking at a logic board replacement for over $700. We learned our lesson - only genuine products like this one.

I wish they weren't so expensive, but there's no way around the price unless you're able to get an open box item, which I did. It was a few behind the stack of them, so dig a little and make sure there isn't one in there.
