    I once had a friend who bought a knock off Apple charger for her MacBook and that knock off friend her charger port and made her MacBook unusable. So I always get the certified made by Apple chargers to avoid this problem. They may be pricey, but they're worth it in the long run if you take care of it. I had to buy a second set because I left one at my parent's place in a different city and didn't want to go back to their place to get one.

    Apple products delivering quality as usual.... Bought as replacement after my original wire finally stopped working after nearly 7 years of very active daily use. I was happy to find out that this unit included the extension cord that connects directly to the adapter, as I thought I was going to have to purchase a separate extension cord later on.

    Excellent. Light and charges well. The light keeps you informed about the amount of charge. When it is yellow. You know you have to charge the computer. Another plus- it charges quickly.
