    I picked this up while getting other items, asking if it was a straight passthrough so that the laptop could be used as a dock. Was told 'yes'. I wasn't sure but knew that it would be useful either way. The cable sadly does not work with video signal, but one thing I did like was the comparative thickness of the cable. I've seen better cables for charging purposes , but if you're in a bind this one's decent.

    Its a good option if you need to charge it while using it further away than the standard cable. A bit expensive but I do not trust non-Apple cables on my expensive devices.
