Purchased for use during travel. It’s much more convenient, as I can simply leave the original at home and keep this second one (and charger) in my laptop bag. Also, it’s always helpful to have a spare just in case one gets lost, breaks, or a kitten chews on it. BEWARE of cheapo, third-party USB-C cables - if they don’t have the correct resistance, they can literally fry your device! And that kind of damage isn’t covered by warranty. I always buy genuine Apple accessories for my MacBook Pro, and this one was actually less expensive on sale than some inferior-quality knockoff junk cables. This cable also works perfectly to charge my wife’s Galaxy S9, Nintwndo Switch, and other USB-C devices; and although longer than needed, will work in a pinch as a data cable for USB-C external drives as well. Note that this is NOT a Thunderbolt 3 cable and is NOT recommended for external PCIe devices such as eGPUs, for example.

Durable and ease of use! Would recommend it for apple products

Long length makes it very convenient to be plugged in while using my device. The cord is much thicker and sturdier than the charging cord that came with the device. Must have for anyone to needs to be plugged in for several hours.

This Apple USB-C Charge Cable supports charging at greater than 60W, and for the price, it seems to be a bargain. It checks all the important boxes for an on-the-go, in-your-bag charging cable: 2 meters long, slim and light weight, supports the full 100W charging capability of USB Power Delivery, and it uses high-quality deep-drawn connectors. It would be nice if Apple offered longer versions of this cable, but at least there are several third parties like StarTech that sell USB-IF Certified charging cables up to 4m long. The USB-C spec allows for both drawn and stamped connector plugs, but I've found that the drawn connectors are better in terms of durability. Drawn connectors look like they're made from a single piece of seamless metal whereas stamped/folded connectors are usually made of a softer metal and will have a characteristic seam running down the middle of one side of the connector plug. There is nothing inherently wrong with a stamped connector; instead, I'm just highlighting the fact that this cable comes with a drawn connector at a reasonable price.

Needed a longer cord because my 4 year old always drains his iPad battery and complains about it not charging so we decided he may have needed a new cord. I purchased this one and it's been a life savor. We use it in the car and at home. With all of us using the c this cable is amazing.
