Nothing could substitute so, I paid $50 to power it up. Purchased the adapter as well, but did find that the next day so did an easy return at BestBuy. Both can be purchased together for $80 or separated for $90. They were out of the combo package, so I had to purchase individually. Worked out for me but $50 for a cable seems excessive. I won't lose it again! LOL

Too much cord!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The charging cable works wonderfully, as do most Apple products. My complaint is that there isn't a shorter cord. Previously Apple had a 1 meter cord, but no longer for the Mackbook, unfortunately.
