Poor quality cable

As far as charging, it works well. But the plastic covering on the cable breaks and cracks. You would think Apple would use better quality in its products.

New improved cord strength

My charger stopped working due to cords busting open at the end, this one doesn't seem to have any of that. Good product.

MagSafe 2 charger

These older chargers have a rubber coating on the cords, which seems to fail after a few years use. Fortunately, Apple has a fabric coating on the newest generation of MBPs
