    It is a power supply for a MacBook Pro, that uses USB-C cables. Previous MacBooks used MagSafe so one could argue that the extra cost was worth it. This is just a USB-C power supply, so it works, but one pays for the Apple logo. I would recommend this to a friend that has purchased a MacBook, but I usually would not recommend my friends to purchase a MacBook anymore...

    It doesn’t come with a usb c cable. You’ll need to get that separate. It will charge a MacBook Pro tho.

    The downside of any mac laptop is the requirement of a special charger. The new 2016s have gotten better with the USB-C charging vs the MagSafe, but still when you loose your charger block, your left buying a new one. Fortunately Best Buy had a new one in stock and I was back up and running asap.

    USB – C 63 W power supply is very versatile. I purchased this extra power supply so I wouldn't have to take one back home from my office every night. It's great being able to charge my iPhone directly off of this, as well as my iPad. Has plenty of power and is very convenient.

    I got this open-boxed AC adapter with some discount. Everything works well so far. What I like about this latest generation is that I don't have to buy a whole new adapter if the cable or the connection is broken. But again, the USB-c cable is not included in this product.
