Replacing 5-year old iPad mini - some data issues

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My wife is a life-long Apple product user, and her prior 5+ year old iPad mini had finally hit end-of-life on Apple operating system support - so it was time for a new one. A very nice improvement for her, and she's very happy with it. The conversion of her iCloud data from one to the other actually hit a few authentication hitches before completing successfully. A bit unusual in my overall experience in helping her migrate among her other devices (two Macbook Pros, several generations of iPhones), but maybe the gap in OS support between these two devices was too much for an easy conversion? At any rate, she's in good shape now, and life continues on.
