Always buy a spare
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a bunch of original magsafe chargers for the rest of my laptops, but my most recent company laptop was new enough to require a new one. I had one charger, but its always good to have a spare, so I went and bought a second one. Heres a hint. Always ask if they have any refurbished or customer return units for a discount. I always trust buying them from Best Buy rather then online, since i KNOW i'll get a genuine unit.

MagSafe 2 - Apple #ftw

Like other Apple gear they're an elegant solution and they *just* *work*. The built-in cord holder and magnetic connector work great. And the modular power connector is cool, too - you can leave the long power cord at your desk and quickly swap on the folding plug for travel. They are an odd shape. They're sortof flat, though, and smaller than many other laptop power bricks, so they pack easily in a bag or case.
