    Great Tablet, okay Software

Great display, fast processor, same great battery life from original iPad. Unfortunately the tablet restarts constantly most time out of the blue. Hopefully this is fixed via software update but as it stands the tablet feels like a beta product and not stable enough to be Pro as its moniker states. In combination with the Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil the tablet still fails to read them at times and requires repairing and reconnecting. The experience outweighs this downfalls and what you are left with is one great tablet. Just a little buggy as it stands right now

The iPad air Pro is very light weight, and is very fast. The camera is outstanding. It was very easy tablet to set up and to transfer all of the information from my previous Tablet. The new apps for spreadsheets wordprocessing, and graphs/presentations are very good.

Bought this as an upgrade to my ipad air 2. It is much faster and has a best in class battery life. Display is a noticeable upgrade from air 2. Bought this during the black Friday offer and got it for $475. Would not recommend it for the original price of $600

This is a great buy for the price. I don’t know why apple decided to discontinue to 9.7 inch pro model, but there is hardly any difference between this and the newest pro model. I have always used apple products best it works best with their ecosystem. Sadly with this model being discontinued we will probably not see many accessories supporting this, But still a great product.!

I have the iPad Pro 12.9 and this 9.7, I am very happy with both, my wife use the 12.9 since she preferred the larger screen to watch movies etc. The 9.7 iPad Pro is convenient for me to carry in my backpack along with my 15' MB Pro. The overall performance on this 9.7 iPad Pro is much improved with a faster processor 64-bit A9X/M9 compared to the iPad Air 2 which is 64-bit A8X/M8 processor. Also improvements to the cameras both front and rear. - iPad Pro 9.7 has a 5MP 720 HD and a rear 12MP 4k HD camera with flash Front camera and 13 MP. - iPad Air 2 front 1.2MP 720p HD camera and a rear 8MP 1080p HD camera - iPad Air 2 display is 2048×1536 pixel at 264 pixels per inch -iPad Pro 9.7 display is identical to the iPad Air 2. Basically there are enough improvements for a power user to upgrade from iPad Air 2 to the iPad Pro 9.7. Well, that is all for me. Bobby

Very nice. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro delivers an unprecedented combination of portability and performance. At just 6.1mm thin and weighing less than a pound, iPad Pro features the brightest, most advanced Retina display.

This is my second IPad. My first one was a 1st generation. I upgraded to the IPad Pro and I love it. It is so easy to use and so much faster than my old one. It is also very lightweight. I love it!

This is the best tablet ever. That's it. The only problem that I see is that the package doesn't come with an Apple Pencil included (that thing is really awesome, and it is a game-changer for the iPad experience, but it really is offensively expensive). Yes, the iPad Pro 9.7 is pretty expensive, but it will not disappoint you. The 12 inches iPad Pro is massive, whereas this 9.7 is just right, very lightweight, very sleek, very awesome. Combine it with a screen protector and a crystal clear bumper case: it will go the distance and it will look great.

    Best ipad I've owned

Yes I'm a Apple nerd or fanboy as some say, but I feel that makes my opinion a little more valid. I've owned a few different versions of the ipad, but never been the one to have to have the newest version. In fact the one I replaced with this was the original ipad mini. The ipad pro 9.7 is super fast and the sound is amazing. If you need an ipad that you can do some serious work on than this is it. Great battery life and I love how I can use the apple pencil for handwritten notes and quick sketches. If all you do is get email and go on Facebook you probably don't need this, but if you want to have a "almost" laptop replacement without getting a giant 12 inch tablet than this is for you.

Great price from Best Buy. Bought the Pro version for a trip to Denver and San Francisco via the California Zephyr. Pictures look great, even in lower lighting. Perfect travel size and weight. No need to be inspected at airport security. Convenient for sharing pics via social media.

Purchased this for my father's b-day gift. Went with Wi-Fi only to keep the cost down. Was able to get additional discount through price matching. If you are in the Apple eco-system, there is not much learning curve, it's just like iPhone except bigger. Plenty fast. My personal bias is that it's a great device for consumption but not so great for production. It's a great tool to check e-mail, send light e-mail. surf the web, use apps. I never been able to do any serious document editing or creation. Still it's a great little device. With an Apple device, you get the consistency. If you need to personalize, Android device may be more suitable.

I upgraded to this iPad Pro from an old iPad 2 from 2011. It still worked, but the software had outgrown the hardware and it was having trouble displaying websites and loading certain apps. Functionality: For the most part, I use this device for recreation. I watch videos and browse webpages with this device. I mostly use it while sitting or lying down. I also prop it up with its case while I'm washing dishes. I use it as a bridge between my phone and laptop. Despite what Apple says, I do no think that the iPad is a valid laptop replacement, at least not for me. I do not use it for taking notes, creating art, or anything remotely serious unless I really need to. That being said, it is capable, but I would rather use a laptop for those tasks. Build Quality: I'm pretty technologically inclined, so sometimes friends will ask me how I choose my devices. I always say the same thing. Price is not the main point, but often will be correlated with my decisions. I always look for metal in the construction of the body. With the exception of the 3G and 3G S, every iPhone has incorporated aluminum in its construction, and all Mac devices have been aluminum for more than 5 years. Aluminum is sturdier than plastic and will not bend so easily. This puts less strain on the internal components, thus helping the device last longer. It also costs more, and I believe it is reasonable to think that if a manufacturer is cutting corners on the outside (using a plastic body) then they are probably cutting corners on the inside as well (using lower quality parts). So I always say, look for metal. In addition to using an aluminum unibody, the iPad is built solidly. Battery: I use my iPad for maybe 30-45 minutes a day. With this I can usually get it to last 4-5 days. It charges rather quickly. I never timed it, but it definitely charges faster than my old iPad 2. Speed: It performs everything I need it to do within expectations. I am used to waiting for 10-15 seconds for a basic webpage to load on my pretty fast internet connection, and the iPad Pro loads it just as quickly as a computer. Motions and flows are very smooth. I have yet to notice any hiccups or skips. Over time, however, I expect this performance to diminish. Going off of my old iPad, I don't forsee this becoming a problem for at least 3-4 years. Overall, I hope that I have shown you what my expectations were and how the iPad delivered those. That is why I gave it 5 Stars. Keep in mind that everyone is different and they have different expectations. Pricey but the best tablet I have ever used. The four speaker are great and loud. I used this device at home and work on my tool box. Great for listening to music at your bay. The multitasking feature is awesome. But will it replace my computer, no it won’t.

It is kind of hard to explain in a short review, but iPad fills out a place in my life that is quite indescribable, yet crucial. To simply put it, even though I am a Computer Science graduate student, iPad can fulfill majority of my needs while providing unparalleled reliability and performance. I can even do casual gaming on it. I can browse the web and watch Netflix and read PDFs at the same time, with a magic that no PC or Mac for that matter can match. For iPad Pro specifically, I think the new display and the four speaker system are totally worth it, although they are more useful for media consumption and reading rather than Pro applications, hence rendering the word Pro kind of meaningless. However, I have done lightweight photo editing (using Pixelmator) and video editing (using iMovie) on my iPad and for my needs, they were absolutely sufficient.

I bought this upgrading my iPad mini 3. It was nice but small and didn't have much memory. This one is much nicer. It has a lot more features such as 4 speakers, larger screen, faster processor. It is essentially an iPhone 7, with some missing bells and whistles. I got quite a deal, however, I have returned it and got the new 10.5 inch pro with double the memory. I will actually return that one too and upgrade to the 256gb model. I feel that will be a long term iPad for me to have for a few years. I have the iPad pencil too, although I haven't tried it out yet.
