Newer is Better

Apple has improved the sound and design. The noise cancelling works really well (perhaps too well). My spouse had trouble getting my attention while I was listening to music. Connection was easy.

Simply the best!!

The spatial audio, the bass the clarity of sound is amazing. It truly sounds like a symphony with both in. They really get a boost when listening to Apple TV, music and movies. Also they fit very well in my ear I know some have had a problem with the size but they work for me.

I never cared for the plugged ear feel

I was contemplating between another Pro or the 3rd gen. I was never a big fan of the plugged ear feeling so I decided to go with the 3rd gen instead. No regret. I love it. There's no big difference other than the plugged feeling in your ears

A step down in some ways from 2nd gen

Additionally, I really liked the 2nd gen “tap to skip song”. With these you’ll have to tap a tiny button on the side to skip a song- which can be inconvenient if you have dirt/wet hands etc
