Good quality but not fully reset
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordering process was easy though they came paired to the original owners setting rather than factory reset. That was slightly irritating having to figure out how to reset them upon arrival. Satisfied otherwise.

Open Box-Received Unusable
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was unable to pair the headphones to my device because it was paired to someone else’s Apple ID. Product was described as excellent. I spent ten minutes on the phone with Total Tech and they could not help me so I returned in store. The clerk who assisted me was told I could not return them because they were paired go an Apple ID, thus unreturnable. It took some time but they eventually accepted my return after I showed them evidence such as screen shots. A huge hassle. HUGE.

Returned and got Momentum 3
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t impressed with the sounds quality I was expecting something amazing. The reviews and YouTube videos gave this headphones so much hype! My old AT M50X sound almost the same. I ended purchasing the sennheiser momentum 3 because I needed Noise Cancellation.

Poor service
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered 2/17/24 - still waiting for product to arrive. Can see they have not reshipped after list in transit. 4 weeks you would think they would be proactive. Still waiting for them to process …apparently takes a week.

For exercise; addressing moisture/condensation.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As other reviews and reports have suggested, the AirPods Max do have a moisture/condensation issue (particularly in the earcups beneath the detachable cushions). As an avid jogger, I am going to share my experience with the headphones and recommendations on how to ensure they last as long as possible. • AirPods Max is a high-end, heavy-duty piece of audio equipment that should be taken care of to ensure it’s longevity. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” • These headphones have zero waterproof/water-resistance ratings. Exposing these headphones to moisture (like excessive sweat from exercise) is done with some risk of internal damage. I use these headphones for 30-45min/day jogging and walking. However, I have performed the following “routine” to minimize any possible damage. 1) Purchase AppleCare+. This allows customers to request two “accidental-damage” replacements every year for a $29 accident fee each time. Also, invest in MULTIPLE extra pairs of ear cushions from Apple. This way, you can alternate pairs to maximize the time each pair is given to air out after being drowned in sweat. (If you use them for intense exercise, it is likely that after a workout the ear cushions will be soaked with sweat). I alternate between two pairs of cushions for exercise (an “A” pair and “B” pair to use every other day). I also purchased a third pair of cushions to use for leisure-listening (do NOT use these for exercise). 2) After a workout/run/jog/etc., IMMEDIATELY remove the ear cushions, and set them to the side. Then, examine the headphones for any moisture, and use a lint-free cloth (dry) to remove any sweat that built up inside the headphones. If needed, wipe down the other parts (headband, outside of speakers, etc.). Once dry, turn the headphones face down so any internal moisture can fall away from the headphone’s components. (See image). 3) Examine the ear cushions that were just used during the workout. Again, in my experience, they will (likely) be soaked with sweat, so it is important to make sure they can air out as well. Dab a lint-free cloth (dry) against each cushion to remove any excess moisture. Then, turn them face down (i.e., the cushion side that touches ear facing downward) so any remaining moisture can escape and dry out. (See image). 4) Oftentimes, whenever I am airing out the cushions and headphones, I will place them (separately) in front of a fan so the drying process occurs more quickly. (See image). 5) Usually, I let the ear cushions air out for roughly 48 hours. Alternating between two pairs allows each pair to sit unused for that duration of time. 6) Usually, I let the headphones air out for at least SIX hours before using again. However, at most I do 24 hours since I use them everyday for exercise. • This process sounds intricate, but these headphones need to be taken care of. Again, these are only my recommendations; using them for exercise will always carry SOME risk. Even though I use these for intense exercise and expose them to a lot of sweat, using this process allows me to not worry about my sweat/exercise dangerously damaging my headphones. If you want a pair of headphones for exercise but don’t want to follow a detailed care regimen for them, I would recommend finding a pair that has some level of moisture resistance. These headphones provide superb sound quality, but does come at the cost of having to take extra steps to make sure they are being treated well (and staying dry).

Great for travel and everyday use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the AirPods Max almost daily for studying, traveling, and general everyday use, and they’ve been excellent. The sound quality is very clear and balanced, and the noise cancellation makes a huge difference when I’m in busy places or trying to focus. It helps me lock in while studying and enjoy music without distractions. They’re comfortable enough to wear for long periods, including during flights or long study sessions. Transparency mode is also really useful when I need to stay aware of my surroundings. I even use them lightly at the gym, and they stay secure and perform well. Overall, they feel premium, sound great, and fit smoothly into my daily routine. I’m very satisfied with them.

Almost perfect. Problematic with MacOS & Handoff:(
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only place I think these things fall short seems to have to do with iOS & MacOS 1) Despite rigorous testing, convos with ChatGPT, etc. there is still a funky issue where sound quality is poor on MacOS unless you go to Sound Settings > Input > and then select a different microphone instead of the Airpods Max. It will instantly correct the audio problem. Look it up, tons of forums & Reddit pages on this issue/workaround. 2) Handoff between Apple devices can be problematic, especially when FaceTime gets involved. Hard to explain, but if you often wear these and swap between iOS & MacOS, its not always seamless. There are better headphones (audio & battery life) for the price, but I believe you pay the premium price on these BECAUSE of the promise to work well in Apple ecosystem...and they just fall a little short in that aspect Otherwise, I love them in every other way

A Techie Audiophile
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other headphones I own when trying out these AirPods Max. 1. Sony WH1000XM3 2. Bose QC35 (first gen) 3. Beyerdynamic DT1990 Pro (wired, running on a THX AAA 789 amp) Build Quality: Top tier in the wireless ANC (active noise cancelling) class of headphones, expected for the stiff $550 price tag and it delivers. Aluminum and stainless steel throughout while the mesh headband may have questionable long life it is surprisingly nice to the touch. Earpads are comfortable, Apple labels them an "acoustic fabric" which has a unique feel. Comfort: Not as comfortable as the lightweight Bose QC35s but very good considering their weight and build. I've worn them for about 3 hours straight with no discomfort. I've got a big noggin' so clamping pressure can be an issue, but the AirPods Max have a good balance. I believe the wide mesh at the top of the headband does a good job of distributing the weight of these cans. Ease of Use: If you've got iPhone, iPad or Mac then the feature set and ease of use/setup is great. I don't really recommend these for Android or PC users as they aren't worth it when considering the features you lose out on. Pairing is easy, switching between devices, etc - as long as you're in the Apple ecosystem. Features: ANC is top tier right up there with Sony - possibly slightly better. However due to the pandemic travel has been difficult so airplane testing hasn't been done. They do a very good job overall. Transparency mode though is a step above the competition which others can sound digitized or muffled. AirPods Max doesn't sound like this at all, it mimics real world hearing as if you aren't wearing them really really well. Spatial Audio, a sort of simulated surround sound, is the best in class when content is available. It won't replace your home theater setup but for on the go movie watching it is a more immersive and fun experience. Sound: Top tier for their class of ANC/Wireless. They do not stand up to a more traditional wired setup like my Beyerdyamic DT1990 Pro but as far as sound goes in comparison to others like Bose and Sony - they are better in basically every way. Bass was surprisingly good and not too muddy or overblown like the Sony's can achieve - so if you're a bass-lover I'd go Sony but for a more balanced sound go AirPods Max. The Bose QC35 aren't really that great in the sound department in my opinion, they're a really boring headphone. AirPods Max are fun without being over the top and also don't take themselves too seriously by trying to be analytical or flat. Value: Eye of the beholder moment here. Are you in the Apple ecosystem? Do you value build quality? Are you looking for a unique feature set like Transparency mode and Spatial Audio? If you said yes to all of these then the value is there in my opinion. I'm not going to rank sound quality directly to value as everyone hears a little different so some of you out there may dislike this headphone's sound. I recommend giving it a try if you are curious, worse case scenario is you can return it within the generous return policy at Best Buy if you don't like them. I'll be keeping my pair - sort of - I want the blue color so I'll be returning the white pair to get a blue pair when they finally become available. I mean, what's up with that? Other colors shouldn't take so long.. but oh well. I gave this headphone an excellent rating based on their category against other wireless ANC headphones and assuming the person buying these is probably a Apple user who is deep in the ecosystem.

The AirPods Max
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The AirPods Max deliver exceptional sound quality with rich bass, clear mids, and detailed highs. The noise cancellation is outstanding, blocking out most ambient sounds and creating an immersive listening experience. The build quality feels luxurious, with comfortable ear cushions and a secure fit for long sessions. The spatial audio feature adds a cinematic feel to movies and music. Battery life is solid, though the case design is a bit unusual and offers limited protection. Overall, the AirPods Max are premium headphones with impressive performance—perfect for those who value high-quality sound and comfort.

Best headphones from Apple
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not paid by Apple nor Best Buy just to be up front. Also I'm not a fan of tech nor Apple but these Apple AirPods Max really surprised me and impressed me big time. The sound quality is amazing! For those looking to get that clear crisp bass without losing other sound quality, these are for you. I have seen lots of people complain about the weight, I actually am happy with the weight of these. They sit on your head just fine and they don't fall off of your ears/head as you bend over or are looking down or doing tasks. The weight and tightness of that makes them so that they don't fall off of your head. Definitely worth the money. I did have to wait a while because Apple and BestBuy kept running out of stock of the lightning silver ones. I definitely recommend these and there are little tweaks you can do to enhance the audio and bass quality that you can't do with other headphones. The only drawback that I can say with these, is these are NOT good for working out because of the sweat getting into layers of the headphones. But other than that these are absolutely amazing! Truly!

Air Pods Max the kid loves it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a Apple guy, but I got it for my kid, and the sound is really good, looks clean and has some heft to it so you know its some solid tech. Its a Apple device so don't forget the Apple care from best Buy. I can say my daughter uses this daily and never fails to put on the Noise cancellation when I'm asking her to do chores around the house. Definitely a great product. She mentioned no issues with connectivity with the Air pod with the older iPhone 13 pro max to the 16 Pro max. and they are built for a beating as well the way my kid roughs up her products.

Best All-rounder headphones !
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned AirPods Max since release and absolutely, in comparison to headphones I owned, Sony XM5, Bose, Bowers & Wilkins, Sennheisers, ... these are and have been my absolute favorites. One key advantage is Apple ecosystem. If you are in it, AirPods line up work like hot knife on butter. The build quality is absolute premium. The dial and the button on the headphones are so good in comparison to 'touch' sensitive ones on other brands. Just feels 'Pro'. The sound quality is absolutely the best of the best. I personally also love the fact that there are no on-off switches etc. The headphones take care of going into deep sleep automatically OR when you put them in a case with magnets, immediately. Less buttons, less complexity, super reliable and clean finish with great colors. The ear pads are replaceable as they are magnetic. You could mix and match colors - they are awesome. I traded in my older AirPods Max (2+ years) and got these. I am fully committed to this and absolutely love them! Note: I use mono-carbon carbon fiber cover for the ear cups to protect them from scratches. I did purchase some extra ear cushions in different colors to mix and match Some Downsides for anyone looking to purchase- 1. You need to really baby the head strap. The mesh gets all crumpled up over a year if you carry them directly in bag packs etc. There are no replacements available either. The firm mesh that you get when you purchase it new, becomes saggy and lose over time if you do not take extra care. 2. Some users have reported condensation inside the ear pads. I have personally not experienced it even once over the two years of use. 3. The battery time is 20 hours. I know some other brands offer 30+ hours. But for me it is sufficient 4. No H2 chip "yet" or lossless audio. I am sure it will get refreshed in 2025. 5. uses lightening connector for charging. Not an issue for me and usb-c to me doesn't add anything more than a standard cable across all devices. I anyways have to carry more than one USB-C cables when traveling. One Important note - "Be EXTRA Careful NOT to buy them on Facebook market place and other places as there are lot of Fakes floating around!". Do not judge these headphones by buying fakes. Too many cases on reddit if you see. Buy them from Auth retailers only. You try to save 200$... you will end up losing 300$ if you get a fake pair.

Air pod pro max
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the lightning version of these. Sound quality is the best Apple has to offer. Noise cancelling feature is a simple press of a button. Great for tuning out the real world Ang getting work done. Also great for cancelling out air pressure on planes.
