Love them but not the price. SHOULD BE WATERPROOF!

I absolutely love my AirPods Max, but for these to be $600 it would be nice if they were water resistant. Any kind of liquid would ruin them and without Apple care it would be over $330 to fix. I suggest you get apple care. You’ll love these if you’re an Apple lover, but if you’re just on the market for headphones you can find a pair over $500 cheaper. If these were $250-$300 I would give them 5 stars.

Bought the lightning version of these. Sound quality is the best Apple has to offer. Noise cancelling feature is a simple press of a button. Great for tuning out the real world Ang getting work done. Also great for cancelling out air pressure on planes.

    Best headphones I've ever owned

I also have the SONY XM4 but after reading all the good review of these I decided to bite the bullet and give these a try. $600 is not a small amount to swallow for a pair of headphones. I'm not an audiophile, but definitely someone who appreciates good sounding music. After receiving these, I immediately compared them with the XM4 back and forth with the same songs from Apple Music. Here is what I found: (1) the sound: the AirPods Max definitely sound better, but not by a whole lot. They have slightly better instrument separation. The highs are more crisp (I thought the XM4 was already very good in this regard but the AirPods Max are just even better). XM4's bass is a bit deeper but the AirPods Max's is still good and I'd say even a bit less muddy than the SONY's. I guess each to their own. Overall, every time I put on the AirPods Max for the same song, the song alway sounds just a slightly clearer and more pleasant for my taste. (2) the comfort: Sony wins this one hands down. Although I didn't feel much about the extra weight, there's definitely that clamping feeling on my head with the AirPods Max. Every time when I switched back to the XM4, my head immediately felt relieved. However, I also found that I was able to get used to the AirPods Max and wore them for hours without issues. (3) the Transparency mode: Apple definitely wins this one, and, to my surprise, this has become the main reason I'm keeping these. The Max's transparency mode is just so much better than the XM4's. I found myself sounding a lot more natural and even have a bit heightened sense of hearing with the Max's transparency mode on. The Sony's sounds just too robotic to me. I also like the simplicity of activating this feature by just a push of a button on the Max. (4) the Hand-off feature: I have an iPhone, an iPad and a Mac Mini. The airpods just switch between them effortlessly. However, I also have these connected to my work Windows 10 PC. The auto handoff feature will stop working if they’re still connected to the PC. Just keep this in mind. (5) Build quality. Apple wins this one for sure. Overall, I’d say that the sound of these is about $50-100 better than the XM4's. Considering the added features, much better build quality and the leather carrying case (which I hate btw), I was actually surprised that the $550 asking price actually seems to be reasonable to me now since the SONY’s MSRP is $350. Sure, it sucks these headphones don’t have an on-off button and won’t turn themselves off until you put them in the ugly case. But, on the other hand, they easily last about 3 days of use in my case. I think if I can charge my phone every day then I can certainly charge these once every 3 days. To be honest, I was going to return them after first wearing them and feeling the clamping effect on the first day. But after a couple of more days of extensive use, I’ve decided to keep them around because I think they're worth it.

Best headphones I have ever used. Excellent sound quality, materials, and comfort. Only thing bad is that the material for the earpiece doesn’t remove and is hard to keep clean.

    Premium Sound and Comfort

The Apple AirPods Max in silver are a standout pair of headphones—both in performance and design. The build quality is premium, with a sleek aluminum finish and super comfortable memory foam ear cushions. They feel solid without being too heavy. Sound quality is exceptional. The spatial audio feature creates an immersive, theater-like experience, and the active noise cancellation is among the best I’ve used—easily silencing background noise during flights or busy commutes. The transparency mode is also surprisingly natural, perfect for quick conversations or staying aware. Pairing with Apple devices is seamless, and switching between my iPhone, MacBook, and iPad is automatic and effortless. Battery life is solid, lasting me through multiple workdays with moderate use. Yes, they use Lightning instead of USB-C, which might be a downside for some, but it hasn’t been a problem for me given the battery life and quick charging.

Amazing sound, either for music or phone call conversation. Noise cabcellation works very nice, only downside its just a little bit heavy, when having it for more than an hour, its starts to bother a little bit. Overall, love the product! Highly recommended

    Near Perfect ANC and sound.

Near Perfect headphones with ANC. I thought allot about buying a over the ear headphones for movies and tv. Features and so forth. The buttons are very intuitive. Really good bluetooth connection from all the way through 2 stair ways. I live fairly decently sized house. I'm in the attic allot that was converted to a office. The sound Is really good. I wear this. I thought about Bose which came fairly close. But the Sony were not in my radar. The Noise cancel performance is strong. But from the reviews the sound quality is hampered to the point where its distracting. I'm a Iphone/ipad user too. I also have a old 15inch 2014 macbook pro. The switching from the iphone and the ipad is well done. I have not used the macbook pro too much. But it does work with its features. This works well with windows too. The physical buttons and the ability to use lightning port as a 3.5mm aux is great. once you connect the expensive apple cable to the aux port. It turns off the bluetooth, This is good enough for minor critical listening. I have seen reviews where its a no go. But you know if something isn't recorded right. Especially on a youtube video where clipping and over modulation is a factor. You can even tell if stereo capsule on a youtube streaming mic is off when the person speaks into the mike. The detail is too much. Now this not a flat headphones. Its an unusual scoop type with clarity and good base. Not crazy base like a skull candy headphone. I have tried this for working out. It is fine. But the performance is about the same as any other noise canceling headphone with the wicked cushion third party accessory. I would not recommend going to hard with sweat without those wicked cushions. I have seen other people at the gym with these. These are not the best but serviceable. It will do the job. Its not ear hook ear buds. The airpods pro 2 with that wicked cushion accessory is what I recommend if you plan on going crazy at the gym being all sweaty after words. I got these because of the summer weather and the always on ac in the office with a big tv with bluetooth. Its excellent with for watching movies and listening to music. This what I got it for. Especially since I can't have loud speakers late at night. The hear through is 1 to 1 too. Its great when your talking to some one and you don't want to take these off. The spacial audio is good Dolby Atmos is good too. I do not have allot of experience with this though. The case is fine. Its a travel case really. Which is fine because the airpods max I keep in the house. I am happy enough that I bought the airpods pro 2 also. I Use that walking and working out. Hope this is insightful.

I was worried about the weight because I saw a bunch of reviews complaining about it but it was not heavy at all. I suffer from migraines so noise cancelling headphones are a must at all time. I traveled to Europe with these, came in handy a ton. The noise cancelling feature was a lifesaver. This feature was very similar to another headset I owed but it was way less expensive. I was even able to use it on the plane by buying an airfly adapter. I was also able to carry it around by wrapping around my purse’s strap and then using the case to secure it. It made it very easy for me to carry around. I love how it automatically connects to my phone once I put them on. I didnt get to try the headset while working remotely which is the ultimate test. The color was also right up my alley, named them Barbie lol

Mixed bag, good outweigh the bad

The Good: Sound Quality, very clear and just enough bass for a punch (personally would like a little more) Comfort, the most comfortable head band I’ve ever had, ear cuffs made of fabric so don’t get hot either. Overall it is on the heavy side but still the only over the ear headphones I can wear for hours running errands or traveling. Noise transparency feature, can hear everything around you extremely clearly if you want to, feels like you’re not wearing anything at all. The Okay: Noise cancellation, It does a decent job but not mind blowing Carrying Case, more than anything it’s hard to find one that is not super bulky if you want extra protection from the one included Battery, easily make it through a whole day of traveling or a week of just casual wear, but it is something you’ll need to keep track of unlike some other headphones where it’s really never a worry. The Bad: Noise Bleed, this might a deal breaker depending on the use case, and enough to make it a 3 star review. When you have your volume up around 60% or higher. The sound will emit from your headphones very loudly to the outside world. At 90-100% volume it’s almost like a mini speaker. So consider this if you were planning to use them in a quiet setting. If you like to crank up the volume everyone in the room will very clearly hear what you’re listening to. All in all factoring in the price, the sound bleed issue somewhat made me regret buying them, however the things that it does well are enough to make up for it. Additionally, if you like the look and already in the Apple ecosystem then you will more than likely end up loving them (like me).

I'm not sure if I got used to the noise cancellation or if it really has lost quality within the year that I've had them. It seems like the cushions go soft pretty fast and the band loses strength/tightness (could never wear at the gym) which might be why the noise cancelling isn't the same. People hear me on calls clearly and siri is nice to have with it. I guess it depends on what you want them for.

The headphones are great quality. I love the color perfect just in case if I were to have make up on, I wouldn’t have to worry about transferring onto my headphones. I only charge them every 2 to 3 days. The battery life is incredible. Best Buy is my always go to for electronics whether it’s online or in person I wouldn’t buy them from anywhere else.

Apple's AirPods Max represents a bold step into the premium over-ear headphone market, and it's evident that the tech giant has spared no effort in delivering a high-end audio experience paired with its signature design aesthetic. Having spent considerable time with the AirPods Max, here's a comprehensive review of this audio powerhouse. Design and Build Quality: True to Apple's design ethos, the AirPods Max exude elegance with a sleek and minimalist design. The stainless steel frame, breathable knit mesh canopy, and memory foam ear cushions not only contribute to a premium look but also ensure a comfortable fit during extended use. The telescoping arms and pivoting ear cups enhance the overall adjustability for a personalized fit. Audio Quality: The AirPods Max shine in the audio department, delivering a rich and detailed sound profile. The custom-designed 40mm dynamic drivers, along with Apple's computational audio technology, produce a well-balanced soundstage with deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is among the best in class, effectively blocking out ambient noise and allowing users to immerse themselves fully in their music or content. Spatial Audio and Adaptive EQ: A standout feature is Spatial Audio, which provides a three-dimensional audio experience, leveraging gyroscope and accelerometer sensors to track head movement. Combined with Adaptive EQ, which adjusts the sound based on the fit and seal of the ear cushions, the AirPods Max delivers a truly immersive listening experience that adapts to the user's preferences. Comfort: Despite their solid build, the AirPods Max are surprisingly comfortable to wear. The ear cushions create an effective seal without causing discomfort, and the overall weight distribution feels well-balanced. The breathable mesh canopy distributes weight evenly, making them suitable for extended listening sessions. Battery Life: The AirPods Max offers competitive battery life, providing up to 20 hours of audio playback on a single charge. The Smart Case, which puts the headphones in an ultra-low power state when not in use, further extends the overall battery life. Controls and Connectivity: Intuitive controls, including the Digital Crown for volume adjustment and playback control, add a touch of elegance to the user experience. Seamless integration with Apple devices, quick pairing, and the ability to switch between devices effortlessly make the AirPods Max a convenient choice for Apple ecosystem enthusiasts. Price Consideration: While the AirPods Max undoubtedly deliver a premium audio experience, the higher price point may be a consideration for some users. However, for those invested in the Apple ecosystem seeking top-tier audio quality, the AirPods Max justifies its premium price tag. Conclusion: The Apple AirPods Max successfully combines exceptional audio quality, sophisticated design, and advanced features to create a premium over-ear headphone experience. While the price may be a barrier for some, the overall performance, comfort, and integration with the Apple ecosystem make the AirPods Max a compelling choice for audiophiles and tech enthusiasts looking for a top-tier audio solution.

THESE have changed my life, my daughter, and I have a technique for her to call or message me when I am jamming around the house cleaning because I cannot hear her coming when the background noises feature is on and has made me scream a few times trying to get my attention lol. Now she calls or text me when she needs me so I can avoid getting frightened by her sneaking up on me. I’ve used them on the plane as well and they are truly noise canceling. If you get these also come up with your plan tonight, get frightened by anyone else in your house lol by them you deserve them and won’t regret them if you can’t afford to pay all at once for them, look into using Klarna.

These headphones would be a 5 star if it wasn’t for the price. Granted you could get cheaper, better headphones for cheaper, these work just as good. The quality of these feel “premium” due to the heavier materials they use but when they are on your head you don’t notice the weight as much as you would when you’re holding them. Overall I’ve really enjoyed my experience with them.
