These heaphones fit great, sound great, and setup is incredibly easy. The transfer of pairing from iPhone to iPad to MacBook is very smooth and easy to change manually if needed. It’s also nice that these can pair with my AppleTV if I need to be on the quieter side. I wish the case had a little more protection and that the headphones had Apple’s Conversational Awareness feature but overall these are a great bang for the buck, even coming from less expensive but still excellent quality headphones like the Sony MX series. These definitely have that native Apple OS feel to them.

    Superb Acoustic, Seamless Connect,minor Trade-offs

I recently got my hands on the Apple AirPods Max, and I must say, the acoustic quality and seamless connectivity with the Apple ecosystem have left a lasting impression. Let's start with the positive aspects. The sound experience delivered by the AirPods Max is simply exceptional. The audio quality is rich, immersive, and well-balanced across different frequencies. Whether I'm listening to my favorite music tracks, watching movies, or engaging in phone calls, the clarity and depth of sound never fail to impress. The Active Noise Cancellation feature works wonders in blocking out unwanted background noise, creating a truly immersive audio environment. The seamless connectivity with the Apple ecosystem is where the AirPods Max truly shines. The effortless pairing process and automatic device switching make it incredibly convenient to use with my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Switching between devices is seamless, allowing me to enjoy my content uninterrupted across different Apple devices. The integration with Siri adds another level of convenience, enabling hands-free control and assistance. However, there are some trade-offs that need to be considered. While the AirPods Max exudes a premium build quality, the ergonomics may not be everyone's cup of tea. The weight of the headphones can feel noticeable, particularly during extended listening sessions. This may lead to some discomfort, especially for those accustomed to lighter headphones. Additionally, the fit might not be ideal for everyone, as the clamping force may be a bit too tight for some users. Another aspect that falls short of expectations is the battery life. Although the AirPods Max can last for a decent amount of time, it doesn't quite match up to the longevity offered by some competing headphones in the market. Depending on usage, frequent charging may be necessary to ensure uninterrupted listening. In conclusion, the Apple AirPods Max delivers outstanding acoustic quality and seamless integration within the Apple ecosystem. The sound experience is remarkable, and the connectivity is flawless, making it a fantastic choice for Apple enthusiasts. However, the ergonomics, weight, and battery life may be a concern for some users. If you prioritize top-notch audio performance and effortless connectivity, and don't mind the trade-offs in ergonomics and battery life, the AirPods Max is worth considering.

I finally decided to splurge on these for a recent 1.5 month trip to Saudi involving a lot of flights, drives, and hotel time. I already have the AirPods Pro but I wanted to try something different for a while. These Max are incredibly well made and the sounds is great. They've got great audio quality - very detailed in the mids, good low end and appropriate highs for a crisp but not ear-bleeding sound. The 3D sound stage is particularly outstanding. Would I term these "audiophile"... not really. For that, I'll stick with my Shure SE8846 but that isn't why I bought the Max. These do things my Shures can't. I really like, and use frequently, the transparency mode. It's great for the office environment, or on phone calls to keep me from shouting like a madman. Are they comfortable? Absolutely! I wear glasses and at first I was concerned that might cause some head pain or sound leakage. Zero pain and no sound leak. On a string of flights, I wore them for about 20 hours without any discomfort, which is more than can be said for any other cans I've had (PSB, V-Moda, Sony, etc). On a whole, these are really the best all around headphones for the modern traveller. Money well spent!

I am a bit of a geek when it comes to headphones. And the same holds true for Apple products. I have owned a pair if AirPods Pro true wireless headphones and was impressed with their innovative and simple operation but had to part with them as they did not fit well and would not stay in my ears or form a tight seal in my ear canals. The high price of the AirPods Max over ear cans really put me off the notion of buying them. And the fact that they only work with the Apple AAC Bluetooth codec, or with the lower standard SBC Bluetooth codec seemed to make the price-to-value gap even more pronounced. Last night I picked up a pair of blue AirPods Max at my local BestBuy and am completely sold on them. What changed my mind? They were on sale at what I felt to be a more reasonable price. And Apple just released its public beta version of TVoS 15 for the Apple TV 4K product which features Apple’s spatial audio with head tracking capability. Spatial Audio enabled video via Apple has been available since last fall on the iPhone and iPad. But not on Apple TV 4K. And it is also coming to the Mac very shortly, More and more Spatial Audio content - video and audio - is being added as well. Spatial Audio for Apple Music debuted earlier this month. Watching TV last night streaming “The Tomorrow War” on Amazon Prime Video via Apple TV beta Software update was a phenomenal experience with the AirPods Max. The immersive multi-channel like effect with directional tracking is crazy good. Apple TV allows you to pair two Bluetooth devices so two can watch together. AirPods Pro will also work with Apple TV 4K and spatial audio. But what about listening to music? I stream a lot of music and have been testing out various tracks on Tidal, Amazon Prime Music, and Apple Music, to rave results. I am not talking about lossless quality tracks but solid hi-fi tracks and spatial audio tracks and am super impressed with the clarity and quality of the audio. Do your own research by all means but I am sold on these. The versatility, excellent fit and finish, funky design, and ease of use across all devices is a win. I am hoping pricing will continue to ease on these as volume sales increase and Apple fully delivers on its device and content transformation plans.

I think it should take a lot to get a real 5-star product review, and most of the time Apple can be close (depending on how much of their stuff you have to integrate with). I have and love the AirPod Pros for day-to-day with calls, music, audiobooks, and recently been using them on planes for work commuting more and more as the noise canceling is pretty good. I got these because they were on sale and my old pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 (which I loved) were failing, so I figured I would buy these and worst case exchange for Sony headphones if these weren't worth the premium. I watched a lot of reviews, MKBHD had a review and I thought it seemed oversold on sound quality compared to what I thought was really good with the Sony options always, and I was initially underwhelmed and worried I would end up exchanging. Then I let them sit for a bit and settled in and used them for a day or two for my calls/video conferencing and music. I started to realize how much clarity I got without really losing anything. Instead of getting that punchy bass everywhere, you get bass that really acts as emphasis. Vocals are crystal clear. Mic quality is excellent. Comfort wise it is great over long periods. Noise canceling is at least as good (honestly seems better) than other headests I've had. Ambient mode is way better and doesn't have that harsh sound. Only knock on it is if you're doing anything active with them on I feel like the mesh cups do tend to absorb a bit more. The plastic backing makes it a little hard to clean but not impossible. They DO sell replacement ones, so I guess in the long run if it gets bad, it's replaceable. I do wonder the same about the headband material if it will get gross or stretched, but these first few weeks it's so comfortable I find reasons to reach for this headset over listening on other devices, just because I am liking it that much!
