Stunning audio quality and a must buy if you listen to a lot of audio material. I enjoy using this to listen to audio books then I connect it to my computer at work because the noise canceling is excellent. Battery life is actually good for a day and half of use in my case and I wasn’t expecting that based on all the YouTube reviews I had seen. Also it is as heavy on the head as folks say (heaviest I’ve ever had) and the clamp force on the head does take some getting use to. Keep in mind achieving that thigh seal around the ear is why the noise canceling and transparency mode feels so unreal. Comfort wise it’s not the best as I need to adjust the headband repeatedly (say every 15min) and the ear up material is so rough and it irritated the skin around my ear lobes. I got a silicone skin for the ear cups on Amazon ($8) to fix that and to also keep the ear cups fresh as silicone is easy to just wipe clean (ear hygiene is a must). Apart from that it is very much like other headphones in that it covers your whole ear and yes your ears will get hot when using it outside or in a warm environment. On like my Sony MX 4’s there is actually enough room in the ear cup and the sensors are receded so nothing really rubs on your ears ( depending on how big your ears are :)). last thing to know is the ear cups will get dirty immediately you start using them because it’s cloth rubbing against your skin so expect all the body oils, sweat, and skin to get cut in in the fabric; you will be washing it often unless you get a silicone skin or one of the hundreds of colorful 3rd party ear cups on amazon that can help hide dirt. Buy at Best Buy because I will say they are more helpful and customer friendly than the folks at Apple in my experience.

Don’t get me wrong, these headphones are nice. Comfortable all-day wear (except while eating), great sound cancellation, beautiful design, and stellar build quality. The all day battery life is great too. Just not worth the price tag. However, the sound quality is obviously not the draw of this product. The design and seamless integration with other Apple products is what draws people in. If you aren’t already deeply rooted into the ecosystem, don’t bother with these. There are much better quality (sound) options for less.

I work in a call center and wanted a wireless set of headphones that fit over the ear that my customers could hear me on in a busy environment. I love the transparency mode for when I’m walking downtown and can hear my colleagues when necessary. These fit nicely on my head and the sound quality is great. Going to noise cancelling mode is great when I the people I’m speaking to are on a bad connection or speaking quietly. I do enjoy the quick connection to my iPhone and computer.

Still a top tier premium headphone

Despite complaints regarding lack of updated chip etc that may be present in the AirPod pros, the over ear AirPod maxes are a different breed of headphone in the Apple lineup. They took the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach and despite people’s skepticism, this is still a top tier premium headphone. This headphone is in a class of its own regarding luxury listening, being better build quality and a higher price range than the Bose, Sony and Sonos but not so high in price as the Bowers and Wilkins or B & O offerings. This sits in the middle as a premium noise cancelling headphone with premium metal build quality, excellent noise cancellation, best in class transparency mode, rich and detailed sound especially utilizing spatial sound with music and movies, and imo the best looking and most sleek design of any headphone in the market. Adding USB C and the slew of new colors gives this headphone the facelift it needs to continue being a top of the line headphone in the market. The new midnight color is amazing in person. And finally, the AirPods Max as expected fit so seamlessly into the Apple ecosystem that it makes it the best choice no matter how new the other offerings are. Despite the new Sonos Ace having newer bells and whistles as far as tech advancements, the noise cancellation and sound quality is better in my opinion on the AirPods Max still to this day not to mention better looks, build quality and working more seamlessly in the Apple ecosystem. All in all its impressive for a headphone from 2020 to be more than holding its own against newer headphone competitors that have gone through 2 new iterations since then. The minor refresh these new AirPod maxes got are frankly all they needed considering how Apple knocked it out of the park the first time with these. If you are upgrading for usb c and the new colors or you want to get these for the first time, these are definitely a must buy.

These are genuinely great headphones. The AirPods Max deliver impressive sound quality with rich bass, clear highs, and a depth that makes everything sound full and immersive. The noise cancellation is amazing—it blocks out background noise even in really loud spaces, like busy cafés or on public transport, so you can just focus on what you’re listening to. The design feels premium, they’re super comfortable for long sessions, and the battery life has been solid with no issues so far. Whether it’s for music, calls, or just tuning out the world, for me , they’ve been totally worth it.

I absolutely love these AirPods Max! I use them daily for work - listening to music in the office and taking Zoom calls - and they've exceeded my expectations. Having owned both the Sonos Ace and Sony XM4, I can say each has its strengths. The Sony might edge out slightly on pure sound quality, and the Sonos Ace definitely looks sleeker and feels a bit more comfortable for long sessions. But what makes the AirPods Max my go-to choice is the incredible transparency mode. This feature is honestly a killer differentiator. Unlike other headphones I've owned, I don't feel muffled or disconnected when speaking on calls. The transparency mode lets me hear my own voice naturally, which makes video calls so much more comfortable and natural. It's one of those features you don't realize you need until you have it. The audio quality is excellent for both music and calls, and the microphone performance is consistently clear for my colleagues. I also really appreciate having physical buttons rather than relying solely on touch controls - they're more reliable and easier to use without looking.

Apple headphones, particularly the AirPods and AirPods Pro, consistently receive high praise for their design, sound quality, and integration within the Apple ecosystem. The sleek design offers a comfortable fit, making them ideal for prolonged use. The sound quality is impressive, with rich bass and clear highs, creating a satisfying audio experience across various genres. Active Noise Cancellation in the AirPods Pro effectively blocks out background sounds, enhancing focus during listening sessions. Battery life is commendable, with quick charging capabilities ensuring they’re always ready for use. The seamless connectivity with Apple devices provides an added level of convenience. Overall, Apple’s headphones are a top choice for users seeking a premium audio experience, excellent build quality, and effortless device integration, making them a worthwhile investment for both casual listeners and audiophiles alike.

The Apple AirPods Max are a remarkable addition to the high-end headphone market, combining advanced technology with sleek design. One of their standout features is the exceptional sound quality; the audio is rich, balanced, and detailed across various genres. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is equally impressive, effectively blocking out ambient noise for an immersive listening experience. Comfort is another strong point, thanks to the memory foam ear cushions and breathable knit mesh canopy, allowing for long listening sessions without discomfort. The intuitive controls make it easy to manage playback and calls. Battery life is impressive, offering up to 20 hours with ANC activated. However, the price point may be a barrier for some, as they are positioned within the premium range. Overall, the Apple AirPods Max deliver an outstanding audio experience, making them a worthy investment for audiophiles and Apple enthusiasts alike.

Great sound quality. No other mainstream headphones can compare to the AirPod Max when it comes to clarity in music and movies because of apples Spatial Audio feature. The Apple ecosystem is elite in my opinion. These headphones connect automatically and the quick switch between multiple devices is impressive. The clarity of voices in movies is trippy with Spatial Audio, sounds like they’re talking around you/to you. I love the new lossless audio update through USB C connection, great for enjoying the highest quality music for the average consumer. For casual, mainstream headphones, it’s impressive what they can do. The ANC is extremely impressive as well, helps with airplane noise, traffic noise, etc. I also haven’t had any problems with the battery life either. They last a good amount before having to charge them again. They are on the heavy side but I’m able to adjust, the weight can be an issue for some people though. Another great feature is the magnetic earcups, easy to attach and detach if there’s condensation build up.

Probably the best headphones I’ve ever used. When in transparency mode it’s as if you’re not wearing the headphones at all. The noise canceling also even better than the AirPod 2s. The ear-cuffs also remove with magnets making them super easy to clean.

The Apple AirPods Max are easily the best headphones I’ve ever owned. The sound quality is phenomenal… rich bass, clear mids, and crisp highs that make everything from music to podcasts sound incredible. The Active Noise Cancellation is next-level; it blocks out background noise effortlessly, making these perfect for travel, work, or just zoning out at home. The build quality feels premium, from the aluminum ear cups to the breathable mesh headband, every detail screams luxury. And even though they’re larger than other headphones I’ve used, they’re surprisingly comfortable for long listening sessions. Transparency mode is a game-changer too, being able to hear your surroundings without taking them off is incredibly useful. Pairing with Apple devices is seamless, and the spatial audio feature makes movies and music more immersive than ever. Yes, they’re pricey, but if you value sound quality, comfort, and craftsmanship, the AirPods Max absolutely deliver.

I thought AirPods Max would just be “nice headphones.” I was wrong. These things don’t just play music — they transport me. I put them on and suddenly Billie Eilish is whispering directly into my brain while Mozart politely waits his turn in the lobby. The noise cancellation? Let’s just say my neighbor could be starting a chainsaw, arguing with his parrot, and frying bacon all at once — and I’d still be vibing to Fleetwood Mac in blissful ignorance. Comfort? Like strapping two velvet marshmallows to the side of my head. Battery life? Long enough that I forget they even need charging until my phone screams at me. Are they expensive? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I’d sell a kidney on Facebook Marketplace before giving these up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — Would let them adopt me if possible.

I recently purchased the AirPods Max from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I unboxed them, the build quality stood out—these headphones feel solid, premium, and incredibly well-designed. The aluminum ear cups and mesh headband give it a modern, sleek look that matches the price tag. Sound quality is phenomenal. The spatial audio feature truly enhances music and movies, making you feel like you’re in a theater. Active Noise Cancellation is top-tier—blocks out everything from airplane engine noise to chatty coworkers. The Transparency Mode is surprisingly natural and useful when I need to stay aware of my surroundings. Pairing with my iPhone was effortless, and the seamless integration across Apple devices is a huge plus. Battery life easily lasts all day, and the case, while a bit odd-looking, does its job well enough. Only downside? The price. They are expensive. But if you’re looking for top-quality sound, comfort, and Apple ecosystem benefits, the AirPods Max deliver. Would definitely recommend to anyone serious about audio quality and looking for a premium listening experience.

Fantastic ANC, frequency response and overall look and feel. Only downside IMO is that they are 650g, BUT because they are well built, they do sit well on your head and I don’t find myself getting fatigue unless I’m laying down. 10/10 quality consumer grade headphone.

I’ve had some excellent sets of headphones over the years (Premium models from Bose, Beats, earlier AirPods, and a host of others) and I can say without hesitation: these AirPods Max USB-C are hands down the best I’ve ever owned. Sound Quality: Crystal-clear. Vocals stand out with incredible presence, highs sparkle without harshness, and the mid-range works beautifully for everything from rock to classical. Many reviewers also praise the detailed and refined tuning. The USB-C version even supports 24-bit/48 kHz lossless audio when wired. For me it’s realistic, immersive, and effortlessly premium. Comfort & Fit: They hug your ears. The over-ear design, plush cushions and canopy provide a feeling of being enveloped in sound without sacrificing comfort even during long listening sessions. One Reddit user noted “I can wear them for hours and not feel a thing.” Build & Features: Premium build quality, excellent materials and top-tier integration with the Apple ecosystem. The transition to USB-C means one fewer cable type for many users. Spatial Audio, ANC, transparency mode all perform well, and in every other important category besides one (see below) they feel superior to everything I’ve tried. Minor Downside: The mic / noise-cancellation performance for calls isn’t quite on par with the best in class, specifically I’ve found that in comparison to my AirPods Pro the ambient-noise isolation and mic voice clarity in noisy settings isn’t quite as robust. Reviewers have flagged the microphone behaviour as “not always predictable.” So if you rely heavily on headset calls in very noisy environments, this is a slight caveat. Conclusion: If you value excellent sound quality, premium build, and superb comfort, the AirPods Max USB-C are a fantastic choice. For me they deliver an unmatched listening experience. The mic/ANC for calls isn’t perfect, but it’s a very small trade-off given the overall performance. Highly recommended.

Excellent noise cancellation and music does sound richer with these. They not only connect well to my iphone, macbook, and ipad, but they easily connect to my nintendo switch 2. Tears of the Kingdom sounds fantastic with these via bluetooth. They also look great. Their weird smart case doesn't offer much protection, but I don't mind that, but do understand other folks who might prefer a legit case. Anyway, if you have the money to splurge, I recommend these.

The AirPods Max in Starlight deliver top-tier sound quality, superb noise cancellation, and long battery life, impressing customers with how rich, balanced, and immersive the audio feels . Reviewers love the luxurious comfort and premium build—the memory‑foam ear cushions and mesh canopy make long listening sessions cozy despite their 13.6‑ounce heft . You’ll also get the convenience of USB‑C charging, compliance with modern ports, and enhanced audio fidelity including Lossless and ultra‑low latency playback when wired, made possible by a 2025 software update . The elegant Starlight finish is beautiful, though it may show dirt more quickly than darker colors .

I've been using the Apple AirPods Max for several months now, and they’ve completely changed how I experience music, movies, and even work calls. The sound quality is truly phenomenal, crisp highs, deep bass, and a wide soundstage that makes everything from classical music to podcasts sound immersive and alive. Comfort wise, the mesh headband and memory foam ear cups make them easy to wear for hours without fatigue. The build quality is exceptional solid, premium materials that feel really nice. Battery life hasn’t been an issue at all, and I appreciate how seamlessly they integrate with the Apple ecosystem. Switching between iPhone, iPad, and Mac is smooth and instant. Yes, they’re expensive, but if you care about sound quality, comfort, and design, the AirPods Max are absolutely worth it. Apple nailed it with these.
