This is actually a pretty tough review to write because I am still not quite sure how I feel about these AirPods. The inclusion of Apple's W1 wireless chip makes the syncing of these AirPods with my other Apple devices a breeze. Completely wireless is great as well. No cords to my device, nor do I have to worry about a cord between the two AirPods. Finally... True freedom! The also can integrate with Siri and you can use them in conjunction with your iPhone to both listen and talk. Pretty cool. They also sit securely in the ears... No worries about them falling out. For the price, I would also challenge you to find a comparable pair of wireless headphones that provides the same features. I am not familiar with anything on the market that is quite like the Apple AirPods. They are truly a unique product at a reasonable price (considering what wireless headphones sell for). Those are the positives. Now, some of the reasons why I'm still not sold (so to speak, considering I already purchased a pair)... Apple advertises over 24 hours of music, but there's a caveat. The AirPods themselves hold about a 5 hour charge. You then need to recharge them in the included case and the case holds enough "juice" for about 24 hours (or so I'm told; I have not tested this myself). I have a pair of Powerbeats 3 and am used to 12 hours of wireless playback without a charge. I have to charge these at least twice as frequently. On a long flight, better make sure your case is fully charged and be prepared to go a little bit without your AirPods while they charge up. Apple states 15 minutes of charging in the case will give you three hours of battery life, so it's not too bad, but still something to consider. The case itself is also pretty small, so no problem traveling with it. I suspect the AirPods and the case also use magnets as the AirPods seem to magnetically "pop" into the case. Very elegant and nice design overall as far as that is concerned. This did create an issue for me, though, as I have short, fat, "sausage" (as my life likes to call them) fingers. On more than one occasion I had trouble getting the headphones out of the case without dropping them. Ultimately, these are headphones and I use them for the sole purpose of listening to stuff (music, videos, movies, phone calls, etc.) I said before that they stay in the ear, but that doesn't mean they fit well. I found that the sound is not directed down into my ear and, if I want to really "hear" my music, I have to keep my fingers on the AirPods and pivot them so that the sound is directed down into my ear canal. Not very sustainable when jogging or when I need to use my fingers to operate my iPad. My first experience was using these AirPods on an airplane. Even with the volume turned up all the way, the background noise of the airplane was enough to drown out the audio. I had to turn on the closed captioning on my iPad to not miss what was being said in the movie I was watching (unless I physically pushed the AirPods down into my ear, which was horribly annoying and unsustainable). I also found that, after a while of wearing them, they bothered the inside of my ear. That may have had something to do with me pushing them down so I could hear, but that simply underscores the issue. If they're just sitting in the ear, they are not too bad at all, but the volume and quality of the audio is not what I would prefer. I can wear my Powerbeats for hours upon hours without them being uncomfortable. That was not the case with these AirPods. So, ultimately, the Best Buy rating system asks me if I would recommend these to a friend. I will say yes, but with some caveats. The quality of the audio may be great on paper, but I found that the sound is not directed down into my ear with they way they fit. Maybe that is just me and the nature of my individual anatomy. I suspect some people may try them and find them to be perfect. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure if you like them and they work for you is to buy them and use them. Have no idea what the return policy is on AirPods, but I am guessing most vendors do not want to try to sell wearable devices that have been in other people's ears. Again, for the money, these are pretty good with some nice features. They are small and, even with the case, are extraordinarily portable (even more so than my Powerbeats 3). Battery life is decent and, with the case, you can be away from an outlet for somewhere around 24 hours (with some quick charging breaks every 3 to 5 hours). Just be aware that, given the unique anatomy of your ears, the audio quality or loudness may not be quite what you were expecting for a headphone that literally nestles into your ear. These headphones are definitely about average, so I felt they deserved more than 3 stars, yet 4 stars seemed a little high given the audio quality and loudness issues I described above (in addition to the prolonged comfort problems I had while trying to overcome those shortcomings). 3.5 stars would seem about right, although if I had to lean one way or the other, I would say they are closer to "Good" (4 stars) then they are to "Average" (3 stars).

I really wanted to like the AirPods. I purchased them alongside my iPhone XS Max and thought they would be the perfect companion. Pairing was super easy and the AirPods automatically showed up on my Mac, iPad, and Apple Watch. Their sound quality wasn’t great (for their price) but did the job. They were extremely portable, I even picked up a case that had a carabiner so I could just clip them on my keys. The 5-hour battery was excellent and I had to recharge the main case about once a week. Calls were crystal clear and it was easy to summon Siri. I ended up returning my pair. I still have these a high score because they are great if, and I can’t stress this enough, if they fit your ears. These have the exact same fit as the wired earbuds that come with every iPhone. Don’t buy into the hype that the cord is what weighs them down and you’ll be able to wear them. The AirPods (and wired EarPods) don’t stay in my ears. I can put them in, look up, and they’ll fall out. I read reviews saying the wires in the EarPods weighed them down and the AirPods would be fine. Nope. No matter what I did, the AirPods themselves would not stay in. There were foam covers and rubber sports covers with fins but those completely defeat the purpose of AirPods. The foam covers also cover up the proximity sensors so the AirPods wouldn’t automatically play and pause when putting them in my ears. The sports fin covers have to be removed every time you put the AirPods in their case. Make sure you try the wired EarPods they came with your iPhone first. If those don’t fit, don’t bother with the AirPods. If they do fit, I definitely recommend getting the AirPods as they really are great. The ease of pairing, automatic syncing across devices, play/pause feature, battery life, wireless range (100ft) and size make them great but they have to fit your ears. They didn’t fit mine and I should not have listened to the online reviews saying they would.

I purchased a pair of AirPods last week amidst a slough of Apple hype. This past year, I avoided them because I doubted their quality, and I was put off by their battery life . However, after trying them for myself, I'm very pleased... with one caveat. First, these aren't just your standard earpods with the wires chopped off-- they have a premium feel that slides in easily, and somehow there's no worry of them slipping out. While they're in, they're excellent. I'm not an audiophile, but as far as I can tell their sound quality is on par with the PowerBeats2 and BeatsX that I've been using since each came out (I wouldn't try comparing it to Studio3). And so intuitive! Open the case, and they connect within the first second, no hassle, not even a button. The tap controls work wonderfully, and I especially love how they pause automatically when you pop one out. When you're done, the magnets suck them back into the case to charge. And that charge... I thought 5 hours sounded pretty awful, but having these made me realize that even though I use headphones for several hours a day, I tend not to wear them for long spurts. Popping them back into the case whenever I take a break yields another full charge within a couple of minutes, and the case's battery lasts for ages. Honestly, I couldn't imagine a better way to charge any of my tech! Well, maybe the whole "tesla coil" thing, but that's not happening any time soon. HOWEVER, I have one complaint: these things pick up dirt like a motherfer. Every surface from AirPod to case is a beautiful, sleek white, but the dust! It wouldn't be too bad if it were just the AirPods; they're easy to wipe off. The inside of the case, unfortunately, is a lot trickier. I swear I could dust my entire bedroom by just leaving the case open on my dresser. That being said, this is more a matter of my OCD than anything else. If I could make one suggestion to Apple, it would be for full volume controls built into the AirPods. Sliding your finger up/down on one of them to control volume would be PERFECTION. I'd trade up for that, not for better waterproofing or some other bull. In the mean time, I'm very happy with my quality-- albeit dusty-- purchase.

I've tried 3 different fully wireless earbud pairs - Jaybird, Bose, & Sony. The sound, volume, and comfort of the Sony's was excellent but the connectivity was abysmal. Constant cut-outs and even worse after firmware update. They were a bit bulky too. The Jaybirds were VERY uncomfortable. The rubber ear pieces were hard and had edges that wouldn't last more than 10 minutes before needing to remove them and massage my ears. Sound was ok but not as good as Sony. Connectivity was also an issue. Bose were nice sounding but also had connectivity issues. They also didn't want to stay in the ear as well as the Sony's. I felt hard pressed to spend the money on those 3 and ended up returning them all. I finally got the Air Pods and am quite satisfied with them. Connectivity is perfect. Never had one or both ear pieces drop out yet. Battery life is about 4-5 hours at 1/3-1/2 volume. Recharge is awesome! Throw them in the case and within 5 minutes I had almost 75% charge back. The case can recharge them about 3-4 times before needing a recharge itself. Case is small and very portable in the pocket. Sound is good but still not as good as Sony. On par with Jaybird and Bose. Volume is a bit low, possibly because they do not insulate like the other 3 since they don't use any silicone ear canal seal. I actually prefer this so I can still hear surrounding noises or someone talking to me while wearing them. The Sony's had the active noise cancelling that was supposed to also amplify speech and lower the music volume but I couldn't get it to work well. I've seen silicone attachments that are supposed to help insulate the sound and volume on the AirPods but I prefer wearing them as-is. I don't mind the minor loss of bass. You can really tell that they could sound better if you lightly press them into your ear canals to create a seal. The volume and depth of the sound goes up quite a bit. Cons - no controls on the ear pieces except for a double tap to engage Siri. I have trouble finding the exact location to tap while wearing them and need repeated attempts to answer a call or give a voice command. Even though my apple watch makes controlling them a bit easier than unlocking the phone, it would be nice to see a button or two on each with a repeat algorithm programmed to mute, raise/lower volume, answer call, etc. like the 3 buttons on the wired earbuds. Put the center button on one bud, and the up/down buttons on the other. I don't always have my phone or apple watch out when I need to adjust something.

Great product for people on the go

The Apple Airpods are listed for $160 retail. These specific earphones are intended and made for anyone who enjoys listening to music at a high quality, on the go and wants something easy to carry around with no strings attached, literally. AirPods are a convenient product that allows you to change music, adjust volume, and make calls via Siri with just a few taps and your voice in a matter of seconds. Within the box, you receive the earbuds, a lighting charger and portable case used to carry and charge your left and right buds. The case makes it easy to keep track of each airpod for when you are done using them. These pods hold over 24 hours worth of listening time and up to 11 hours worth of talk time as well. With a battery life such as the one possessed by the AirPods, you can go days on end without worrying about them dying in the middle of your favorite song or important phone call. They are easy to connect to any Apple device that is bluetooth compatible by simply lifting the lid to the charging case and pressing the button until the two devices are paired. With the beneficial qualities that the AirPods have, it makes it simple to go on about your everyday routine with no hassle. They are great for your everyday activities whether it’s running, commuting to work, working out in the gym or just listening to music. Since purchasing them in early August, I have come to the conclusion that this product is worth the investment. At first I was very skeptical and always thought about whether or not I’d lose them or the level of sound quality, but after putting them in my ears and listening to that first song on my favorite playlist, I was wrong. They are simple to use while I walk to class, study, and workout. After being in school for over a month and becoming accustomed to my everyday routine, having my AirPods at my disposal has been great. I am yet to experience a problem with them falling out during my workouts, walking to class or even just sitting down doing homework. They are comfortable and fit great inside the ear. If you have been thinking about purchasing them or are in the market for a new pair of headphones, these are it!

Standard quality as if you are using regular airbuds, was expecting better for the price that it is listed as, hopefully Apple is coming out with airpods 2 with better audio quality so hold onto your money and invest on the airpods 2 if they are coming out. But overall love the apple ecosystem easily compatible with apple products mainly the iPhone simply lift up the cap of the airpod case and hold near or lightly tap on screen while phone is unlocked and the airpods will show up on your phone as if you already had it. Displays battery percentage of charging case and both/individual headphone if you want you can roam around with one then switch off to the other one so the battery would last a bit longer. Amazed on how the case simply charges the headphones to full charge within 15 minutes, I haven’t used the headphones all day but I have yet to see how long these would really last me with one full charge case and headphones. You can’t go wrong with the airpods but if you are looking for REAL HIGH Quality then look elsewhere if looking for something that feels as comfortable as airbuds, quick pairing, travel then maybe this might be what you are looking for otherwise wait for the new airpods or better. Well that’s all I can say for this review and hopefully my opinion of the product will help you guys with your decision happy hunting.

Super easy to setup. Connects & switches in seconds between Apple devices w/o having to go to Bluetooth settings. Easy to check batteries' statuses (left, right, charging case). Great design. Comfortable to the point of not realizing they're in; much better than those neckband devices. Was concerned about them slipping out of my ears, but they never have (I haven't run with them) yet. Like EarPods, great highs & lows while still hearing what's going on around you. REALLY good battery life. Easy access to Siri via double tap. Find My iPhone app will even locate it if lost. Warning: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH iPOD NANO. (iPod Touch, yes.) No onboard volume control (via charging case buttons would've been nice); must raise/lower volume on Apple Watch, iOS device, or Mac. Siri can adjust volume too, I think, but I'd rather do it manually than have to speak. Bonus for those who listen to a lot of audiobooks, news, podcasts, spoken word in general, and other media which don't require 2-channel stereo: You can double your listening time by using one AirPod at a time. Safe to do while driving/cycling, plus you can place & take phone calls with ease. If you plan to buy this, do it via Best Buy and not Apple's website or Apple Store app. Whereas Apple ships in 6 weeks (at the time of this review), Best Buy ships in 8 days, and for the same price. tl;dr- Not very easily affordable, but I am overall very much pleased with this product.

These wireless pods are very good quality, and if it wasn’t for my wanting to just give them a go, and my need for non bulky, non slip wireless earbuds to workout and do other everyday tasks with, I would’ve never paid this much for something other makes give for half the price. The connectivity is fantastic and the range is extraordinary, however It doesn’t pair with my iPhone 5 that i use as a spare. Possible because I refuse to update the software but something can be said due to them being Bluetooth, they should work with all Bluetooth audio devices. They aren’t water resistant, this worries me since their main function for me is athletic ear buds. However I haven’t had any issues with them, even running in light rain, I had no trouble with them. Sound quality... I’m an audiophile so yes these don’t do the trick but that’s not what I bought them for. However, it’s a strain to hear them due to no isolation and their build, even in the gym. They need to be 75% max volume to make out a decent amount of he music, which doesn’t give me fear of future hearing damage if I keep them on at that volume too long. Battery life is impressive, I usually don’t have to charge the carrying case for over a week, and I use them daily for hours on end. (Caution: carrying case cleaning, is difficult because of open electrical ports, probably best to buy separate case to keep them lent free in pocket, I haven’t and I’m paying for it.) Durability is a concern because they are light weight, Apple products, and the case although quality build, could be seen as a costly endeavor to replace. All in all, my 4 stars says it all. Going in I knew most downsides and took the plunge any way, and I’m still satisfied with my purchase months later.

I'll admit I was skeptical about the AirPods when they were first announced and figured it was more Apple hype. Last week I was in my local Best Buy to buy something else, saw these were in stock, then purchased and walked out the store with them. I had been thinking of buying them for about a month now so I'd have something more comfortable and easier to wear when I am hoofing it through various airports (and maybe listen to on the sly at my desk at work). I've been a tech nerd since the 1980's and using various Bluetooth speakers and earphones for over twelve years. I've never, ever, had a Bluetooth device that synced as easily as the AirPods did. EVER! It's like magic! You hold them near your iPhone, open the charging case, and POOF! They are synced to your iPhone. Even better is that via iCloud they were all set to work with my iPad Pro! What's that saying about Apple products? "It just works". One thing I was worried about was the "one size fits all" aspect of the pods but they really feel rather comfortable in my ears. I don't like the earphone that seal because I cannot stand the sound of my breathing and isolated feeling that comes from not being to hear stuff around me. These fit well and "breath" just as well. I've yet to have them "fall out" and I wore them while doing a lot of moving around for about three hours straight a few days ago. Sound quality is better than I expected and much better than the included earpods that came with my iPhone. My Sol Republic earphones and my Beats Solo Wireless 2 headphones have much better sound but for my use case scenario for the AirPods the sound is more than adequate for me. At times and with some songs they get a tinny sound. Bass is just ok. The charging case works as advertised and keeps the pods topped off. The advertised three hours of listening time from just a few minutes in the charging case is accurate. If you're an iPhone (or even iPad) owner who wants something that is easy to use, sync, and not take up a lot of space then these AirPods are for you. I'd buy these again!

I am not an Apple die hard fan. Work supply me with a phone (iPhone 7) and if it was up to me, I would pick something else. The loss of the headphone jack is annoying so I really had no choice but to go bluetooth. Was very skeptical of all the so-called Apple magic. The Airpods deliver on the magic promise with a few caveats. Pairing is a dream. Open the Airpod case and your phone detects and pairs them right away. Sound is great. Some bluetooth earphones can sound tinny. This is not the case. Voice quality. I have used these and people are amazed I was on a headset. Apparently there is some science with the dual microphone setup that helps with noise cancelling. Other magic. You can use only 1 at a time. This is more useful than you think. Especially in an office or car, where you may want to have one in for an expected call but need the other ear free to hear something else. When you take them out the music will pause/stop. This seems so trivial but it's so smart. On the subway, if there is an announcement or if you're walking and someone asks a question, pull one out and the music pauses and you can answer back. It also means when you take them off your phone doesn't keep streaming music to them all day. Charging case is a brilliant idea. No more worries about did I charge the earphones, they are always ready to go. In answer to the unasked questions. No, they didn't fall out of my ear and I never feel at risk they would (even when jogging). You don't need a neck strap or anything else. Frustrating bits. You can only adjust volume, skip tracks with your phone or Siri. And Siri... well she is useless. Friends with an Apple Watch adjust volume and skip tracks with the watch. Without an Apple Watch you double tap on the side and ask Siri. Siri mostly responds with something random, useless or not at all (if there is no cell service). It's not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind. Negatives. My wife stole them from me and I had to buy a second pair.

I finally decided to take the plunge into the world of wireless ear buds and I was kind of leery about it for fear of losing one or both of the Air Pods...I mean dropping over 100 duckets for something that's so easy to lose is worrisome. I considered other brands like Bose, Klipsch, and Beats for their advertised sound quality but decided on these because I really like having the usability with all my Apple devices. Sound-wise, they aren't going to shield outside noise while you have them in but I feel they provide decent sound nonetheless. To me, they sound similar to the ear buds you get with your iPhone but I’ve yet to discover how to equalize / fine tune the sound from my phone. I'm still learning how to use them but I found it useful to be able to set what "double-tapping" on each Air Pod would do. They also seamlessly link to your Apple device right out of the box (with a few set up steps). I also like how each of my Apple devices recognize them for easy use. The Pods charge when they’re in the case which is a nice feature. It’s also nice how you can see how fully charged the Air Pods are and how fully charged the case is just by opening the case lid and looking at your iPhone. There is also an LED that tells if the Air Pods are fully charged when they're in the case. I haven't tried using them with a non-Apple device but the instructions lead me to believe they can be. 4 out of 5 Stars for usability but I have yet to learn to equalize/fine tune the sound. Despite this, I’m glad I decided to get them.

I took my time before I purchased the AirPods. I repeatedly researched the similar offerings available. Lots of mass produces mediocre offerings out there from known and unknown sellers. The good ones that Jack Bauer might wear can cost $300. The Zolo Liberty+ Kickstarter project almost got me at $99 because of Anker's backing and the crazy features but they're just claims until they hit the market and I missed the window to throw my $ in the hat by half a day. Back to the hunt. Bumped into a friend sporting some AirPods and they didn't look bad at all, although he had them tucked into a mini James Harden beard. He told me he loved his so I decided to go for it. The crazy simple and fast pairing with my iP7 was even cooler in person. They came 86% charged and charged to 100% in a few minutes. The tiny storage case rapidly recharges them and itself when plugged into a rapid charge device and Lightning cable (poor quality cables and old or cheapo 1A or lower wall and car chargers = slow charging people). Up to 5.5 hours per charge with said case capable of recharging them approx 5 times. Double tap to activate Siri and end a call. Option to change it to Play/Pause or turn off. Auto ear detection that can be turned off. Auto firmware updates. More functionality coming in iOS 11. I took them for a spin and walked into a strong headwind talking to a friend. He didn't even know and only said that it was like a low insignificant sound in the background while my voice was coming in loud and clear, as if it the wind noise was being suppressed in some way. I wore them the rest of the day and they were comfortable. An advantage of them being visible is I notice that people tend to see them and hesitate before talking to you until you let them know it's OK. Music with the appropriate EQ setting sounds good. I like not being fully detached from what's going on around me. I have some NC cans for that. Keeper!

I have previously been using the Apple EarPods that came with my phone and loved the comforts of them. However, I found myself constantly replacing them because the cord would always get latched anywhere I walked by and would cause my EarPods to pull and drop my phone. The cord would begin ripping and later stop functioning properly. I wanted to invest in Bluetooth earphones and previously purchased the Powerbeats3. I enjoyed the sound quality on them, but I fall within the group that does not like their ear canals suffocated by the rubber tops on earphones. The powerbeats3 were great quality, but I use earphones A LOT (for nearly every call I'm on) and felt it was too uncomfortable for me. I decided to return it (despite getting it for a very good discount at Best Buy), and purchased the Apple AirPods instead. I was shocked at the sound quality of the AirPods. I already loved the comfort of them in my ears from previously using the EarPods so I was not concerned in that area. They are truly easy to pair with my iPhone and that charging case is amazing! It's insane how quickly they charge!! They're advertised to have a 5 hour battery use time, but it never feels like only 5 hours thanks to the charging case. My advise is to put the AirPods in the case when not using them so they're always charged. You don't have to worry about having to pair them each time because once you initially pair them to your phone, they instantly and automatically re-pair to your phone when taken out of the case. I gave the AirPods 4 stars only because they don't have a volume control like other Bluetooth earphones. They have their detector features when you tap your finger on them and the Siri function, but it would be nice to be able to quickly change the volume or song being listened to. I guess that was done to make them fully wireless, which I guess is much better. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

So, the typically expensive Apple airpods work essentially as all the users/reviewers here have said ... to start, the sound quality is pretty good ... way better than the standard earpods that come with the iphones ... they are also heavier enough to give a better fit ... BUT, my major issue is that they still don't fit good enough ... I tested them doing various things around the house including heavy-duty work with a lot of moving stuff around and, with enough swaying activity, the airpods eventually did loosen up and the one in my right ear did fall out a couple of times ... so, my plan was to use these for commuting ... based on my test at home, I think that if someone bumps me hard enough, I can see one or both airpods falling out of my ears and breaking upon hitting the ground ... the good news is that you can apparently replace only one airpod if needed, but I'm not sure of the cost. Overall, all of the functionality provided is great, including the auto charging when the airpods are put back in the very sleek albeit slippery case. And, it still lacks certain things that I'm sure Apple will add to future generations of this product, like volume control and being sweat-proof. Still, because of the "not good enough" fit, I will have to return these ... which is a bummer since the rest of the product is great. NOTE: I know I could buy some attachments for about $15-20 to wrap around the earpieces to give me a better fit, but then charging them would require the hassle of removing the covers each time. So, if you try these and they fit snugly in your ears, and you don't mind the somewhat strange appearance of a min-rod hanging from your ear, you will love this product. Too bad it doesn't fit well enough for mine.

I'm currently a graduate student, so I use earphones for a good portion of the day studying, making notes, and commuting. I bought the AirPods to replace the cheap ones that always seem to stop working every couple of months. I'm new to the apple ecosystem so I thought I might as well keep everything Apple when I decided to make this purchase. Overall, I think they're great. There's no wires to get in the way while I'm rummaging through notes or getting up to walk a couple feet to retrieve some coffee. It super easy to switch between my apple devices, including the Apple Watch 3. They last for about 5 to 6 hours and charging is only 30 minutes I believe. The main thing that I was worried about was that they might fall out. There have been instances in which one of them attempted to fall out but that's usually after having them in for a few hours. The sound quality is a bit better then the typical earbuds that you get standard with an iPhone purchase, but there are instances where sometimes it would sound static-y or strained for certain music at a higher volume. In regards to answering or calling people, there are several instances in which it drops calls randomly. This usually happens when I get up to walk away from the phone, typically five feet, and you don't notice that it drops the call until you're talking to yourself for 5 to 10 minutes. These are also not soundproof in anyway so if you're thinking of buying them to block out noise as you commute, don't. Overall they're good. Maybe a bit overpriced, but Apple products tend to be.

Upgrade from Earpods, but they fall out

Sound quality, design construction, bluetooth connectivity, and battery life are where the 4 stars come into play. This headphones are excellent in this capacity. Battery life gives me about 5 hours, but the traveling case that charges my headphones give me roughly 20 hours of charge time. The sound definitely has a slight boost especially since the bottom of the ear is now a vent for better bass to come through. The loudness of the headphones are still the same as the earpods, meaning that in the gym, I can still hear everyone even with the volume at full blast. The bluetooth connectivity is excellent! I walked well over 50 feet away from my phone and closed a couple of doors before I realized I didn't have my phone on me. The major design flaw is that they fall out of my ears constantly. If I don't talk, eat, or move rapidly they will stay put. I had to buy the earbuddyz 2.0 for amazon for them to stay in my ear. I don't understand why Apple won't add some sort of soft rubber material to the earpods to assist with them staying in my ear. But for completely wire free headphones, these are an excellent addition I am glad that I have. I purchased mine through ebay from a reputable buyer for the $15 discount. Hindsight, if I would've purchased through Best Buy, I probably would've returned them after my first gym session since I had to adjust these headphones constantly. P.S. I didn't proofread what I typed so forgive for any typos or errors lol

I've always loved the fit of Apples wired earpods, so when I wanted bluetooth wireless headphones, I gave a serious look at these. I also tried Bose Soundsport wireless (the ones with the wire connecting the two earbuds). They were great, but heavy in my ears compared to these Airpods. The sound quality, fit, near weightlessness, and finish of the Airpods are amazing. The only issue I've had is that after a while of wearing these while working out, I've had an issue with my paired Samsung Galaxy S9 where the bluetooth connection drops from "call and media audio" to just "call audio" so I can't listen to my music/media. Once this happens, it's next to impossible to get the airpods to reconnect for media audio during my workout. I tend to sweat a lot during workouts and I wonder if that has anything to do with this issue, knowing that these aren't technically water/sweat resistant. I actually returned my first Airpods due to this issue and haven't had the chance to replicate the issue with my second pair, so I'm hoping it was a fluke with the first pair. For those of you with Android phones wondering how these work together, for the most part (other than the media audio issue) it's great. They don't pause the music when you pull one bud out, but a double-tap on either bud does the same trick. Overall, I'm very satisfied with these Airpods and if the media-audio issue I experienced goes away, I will 100% recommend these with 5-stars.

First off, I am an Apple fanatic, so I was super excited to finally see these in stock so I could get a pair. I love just about everything they put out and as a phone, laptop, tv and iPad user, I am not a lapdog for them, and this review is as a fan but objective. First off, they are cool and right out of the box work perfectly. Lots of people have said they are louder and that's true, but am assuming they are comparing them to the normal ear pods which in my opinion suck and have never fit right so I've always gone with Bose for all my electronics. On advice, I bought the supplemental Insignia accessories with the band to connect the airpods so as not to lose them. The PROBLEM here is the case is the charging mechanism will not work with all of this stuff installed. In years of owning Bose I have never taken the rubber pieces off, yet now I am doing it every other day. So now I am not only worried about losing one of the ear phones, but now I am juggling the fittings as well...annoying. In summary, they are cool and work well. But I will say that on a recent trip I also brought my bose headphones and ended up switching while on a flight due to them slipping and me worry about needing a charge, which is completely ridiculous as I do not intend on carrying two sets of headphones with me. They are supposed to be an afterthought. If you are considering them, don't take this as a negative review. These work great. But if you already have almost any set of Bose, understand that you will probably be wondering what the big deal was about them. Buy these if you are curious, have some disposable income and don't really care about losing them or do not have a better option.

They are overall good headphones. Buy them at a place like Best Buy so if they are not just right for you, return them. They are very small. They pop right into your ear. Maybe a little too small. I have ran through the washing machine many other sets of headphones, so be careful! The sound is good, not great. They lay on the outside of the ear canal. If you force them into your ear it greatly increases the bass and treble. No surprise there. I enjoy these greatly in public. You can wear them and keeping the volume down you can hear everything going on around you and the music! It’s funny lots of people assume you can’t hear them.... lol. The case acts as a charger. No need to plug into a outlet when they die. The best time I got on a headphone charge was 5 hours which is right in line with what Apple says. One charge by placing dead headphones is very fast maybe like a hour or so to return to full charge. That will subtract about 20 percent off of the portable battery unit. So roughly one charged pack will take you over 24 in play time. I don’t know about the range of these. I use them on a I phone 8 and a Apple Watch. Also be careful and pay attention that they don’t fall out of your ear! Also the watch only pairs with air pods and Dr. Dre headphones. I find that very annoying but it’s a lock for more sales for them! Just being able to be aware of your surroundings with these on is worth the price.

    Overall experience with the AirPods

These AirPods have been my goto earbuds for the past two weeks and I am in love with these. I've tried other wireless earbuds but they lacked in either connectivity and/or sound, but these AirPods are something else. They are convenient and lightweight that you can almost forget you are wearing them. The battery life on these are decent, as I have only charged these twice during my two weeks. However one thing to note, if the case battery dies before the AirPods internal battery they are rendered useless until the case is re-charged. The sound on these are pretty good but you are paying for convenience over sound quality. These won't beat $80+ wired headphones/earbuds, but at least for me beats the sound quality of most wireless earbuds. If you have an iPhone I would recommended these as they pair together effortlessly. However, if you have an Android phone (like myself) some features are not going to work: * Cannot use the Siri feature with Google Assistant (or the Siri feature in general) * Double Tap to pause music is glitchy at times * Ability to display battery level on both the case and AirPods requires a third-party App Overall I cannot complain as these are marketed for the Apple ecosystem, despite some flaws on Android I still love the concept and design of these earbuds. If these were priced at $99 or $119 this would be an instant buy, at the current price its a bit steep.
