Sadly, not for me. But I can’t wait for version 2.

Don’t get me wrong, AirPods are an amazing piece of technology that showcase the absolute best that modern technology has to offer. I loved them for about a day when I received them. Everything from the audio quality, bluetooth range, and even the pairing process is phenomenal. But the overall product just feels like a rushed afterthought. It feels exactly like Apple took their regular EarPods, chopped off the wires, slapped them in a dental floss case, and even had the audacity to charge $159 for them. And that is in no way a good thing. AirPods fit okay in my ears, but it’s by no means a secure fit. Your milage will definetly vary though; they may stay in your ears like they were made for you or they may fall out as soon as you move your head. And that’s a problem. There’s no way to adjust the fit, or even add any earhooks to keep them in place. Sure, you could buy a third party silicon tip or rubber wing tip, but then you would have to take them off every single time you put them back in the case which is a huge hassle. The case won’t close if you keep them on. Another thing is if you need to take one out for a sec to just listen to one AirPod or listen to someone talk, you have to take out the case and put the AirPod in that case and then put it back away, which is not always convenient. Traditional wired headphones are so much more convenient because if you need to hear someone talk, just take one earbud out and drop it. That’s all there is to it. I didn’t know that truly wireless headphones would make me feel so afraid to lose my expensive tech. I was truly concerned. I decided pretty quickly to return them. I decided that these headphones were not for me. I do love the convenience of bluetooth headphones, so I decided to get the Beats X, which I am extrmely happy with. It fixes all the problems I had personally with the AirPods. I can just drop one if I need to take one out and it stays connected to the wire, I have an integrated remote and mic, they hang around my neck when I’m not using it, and I still have the amazing features of the W1 chip like great battery life, bluetooth range, and extremely fast charging. So, if you’re skeptical about the AirPods, the Beats X are the next best thing. Sometimes I miss the AirPods, but when I remember the struggles I had with them, I don’t miss them so much. But, I liked them enough to be extremely excited for a refined version 2, and I can’t wait to see what Apple has in store. Also, thanks Best Buy for making returns so simple and headache free.

As a hard of hearing person, finding a good set of ear buds that offers sound quality is important. Overall, I believe the AirPods are a win but needs some improvement. The sound quality is equal if not better than that of the earbuds. The charging case and AirPods design is sheek and gives a sense of superiority to the competitors design. The fear of losing your AirPods is eliminated once you place the Pods in your ear. The fit is comfortable and the items stay put. So, jump, flip, or do what you will, they will stay right where they need to be. As an added feature, if one Pod, for whatever reason is removed from your ear, the music stops until it is re-inserted. With a brief double tap action to either AirPod, you can tell Siri to adjust the volume or give voice commands. The distance these AirPods is impressive as well, as long as “line of sight” is kept. In another words, you can walk away from your phone well over 30-50 feet and you will not have any broadcast breakage; however, if you turn a corner and the line of sight with your phone is broken, the reception becomes broken and blocked. One reason I suspect the distance is good, may be due to the antenna or AirPod rod that extends from the bud itself. It looks a little off, as if something is missing, but I’m off, so it’s ok for me. The opportunities to the AirPods are the tapping action must be a bit harder than one would like to top a device that is embedded in your ear, especially if you have sensitive ear canals or whatever the case may be. Light taps, at times doesn’t work, so you have to use a bit more finger action to get Siri to answer. The lack of buttons to command the volume leaves me a little uneasy to because I would be sitting in a crowd and suddenly yell, “Siri, volume up!”. Then have to lean over and tell the person next to me, “don’t listen to him, he’s crazy”. The most unnerving part and reason for only giving 2 stars is due to the connectivity issue, Apple Customer Service, and Best Buy Customer Service. The AirPods began to act up, it was as if they wouldn’t or couldn’t sync with each other at the same time. So, one would sync with my phone and produce sound but the other would remain inactive. If I placed the active Pod in the charging case, the inactive Pod would then begin to work. I contacted Apple, and they stated they were not aware of this issue and since I had only had the Pods for 18 days, to return them. After researching reviews and trouble shooting, I found that there are others who have experienced this since 12/2016. So, beware of these few items. I suspect the “AirPod 2”release which we all know will happen one day will have fixed the connectivity issue. “Cheers”

Received pods. Opened box and they paired perfectly. Impressive. Fit my ears perfectly just like the corded buds. Difficult to pick the AirPods out of the charging box. I used them for one day and found they are actually cumbersome because of thier extream ease of usuability. INTERFACE: Only one type of user interface is allowed. A "double tap." This double tap can be used for only one of three things you decide in settings. Either 1) Siri 2)play/pause 3)next track. And that's it, nothing more. I have a Apple Watch and hoped I could control the headset with ease. Not so. I have had wireless earbuds for over a year now. I have beats by dr. and $15 buds from Big Lots and five in between those. Beats are the best I have. Bottom line. PROS. I am impressed by the sound quality and the volume was fine. Fit was perfect (for me). When removing pod music pauses automatically. Big PLUS: the noise cancelling. Others said I sounded like I was on my iphone. Bravo, perfect. CONS. Awkward and difficult user interface. MUST have pod carrier with you to pair the pods at all times. Picking the AirPods from case is not easy for almost any American male with normal sized fingers. Also: If you HATE Siri (as I do), you might end up calling your ex mother in law when simply asking Siri "SIRI! VOlume Up!" Which is the ONLY way to raise the damned volume unless you dig your phone out of your side pack or find the music app on your watch which is buried in apps half the time. FINALLY. On day 3. They stopped pairing completely and the charging box never did or would charge over 59%. I returned them and the Geeksquad agreed, they would not pair anymore. :( I think the next generation will be better (high hopes) and remember this is some tiny and high tech technology that has some issues still.. and for me, the rest of Apple products MUST take the next leap forward. As of now, I have a Mac Pro, Apple Watch, iPhone 6s Plus 128gb, BUT if they do not step up to the challenge, I am seriously looking toward Samsung. Mic Drop.. outta here!

Start by saying please dont fall for the overrated reviews and overhyped products like these. I got these headphones as a gift and even then I was forced to return them I'm not one to return any gifts but these made the exception to do so. The pros with negatives always come some positives when having got these from my brother I was like a kid in the candy store super excited and ready to head to the gym to try out my new airpods well that was soon to become an instant fail. As soon as I began to run on the treadmill the head phones fell right off my ears luckily they survived but instantly I became disappointed that I fell for the hype. My time at the gym that day became an epic fail without any music so I was still hopeful for the air pods so what I did I went home hoped on Amazon and purchase some ear adapters which became another instant fail after that I lost hope and I gave in and I was dissatisfied and had to shamefully ask my bro for the receipt to return these headphones. The great thing I can say about the airpods when a taking a call these have been the best wireless headphones to perform in calls. I decided to go with the bose free I'll see how those go

I am happy with the sound but the bluetooth connectivity leaves much to be desired. When I first got them, they worked great until a few days later when I hit pause and the sound level cut in half. I re-paired with my Pixel and that seemed to fix it. Cut to a few days later and it started happening more often. Now every time I connect, I have to cycle bluetooth off and on on my phone and I don't dare hit pause. This is so frustrating. I also have issues with the buds getting slightly out of sync so the left is just behind the right. On more than one occasion, the sound completely went out while listening to music and then came back all jittery and finally went back to normal. Not sure what happened there but it only happened twice or so. Finally, the connectivity is poor when my phone is in my pocket. The sound cuts out intermittently especially when I'm outside. This isn't too big of a surprise, my other bluetooth earbuds do this too, but I was hoping Apple would be better. Besides the sound level problem, I would like them to fit better in my ears to block out noise. These are useless when mowing the lawn. I tried putting ear muffs over them but the stem sticking out of my ear causes the buds to fall out when putting on the ear muffs. I really wanted to like these but I am back on the prowl for truly wireless ear buds that meet my needs. My wife's iPhone works just fine in the short time I tested it but that's no surprise being Apple and all.

Overpriced, poor sound, easy to lose

Having read many glowing reviews about these I decided to take the plunge and bought them. Boy, oh boy was I disappointed! First, the good: very easy to pair with the iPhone. The phone call quality (the mics) is pretty good. And... that's about it! The sound quality is pretty mediocre. They don't offer a good seal, so as you walk around - they will shift every so slightly, constantly changing the sound signature. They offer no external noise isolation whatsoever, so basically useless to listen to music in a noisy environment - that is, pretty much everywhere except in the quiet of your own bedroom. The battery life is short - barely 4-5 hours of listening to music, which is a deal breaker for me (as if the sound quality and external noise wasn't already enough). I listen to music all day at work, so 5 hours just doesn't cut it for me. Since the two ear pieces are not connected to each other - it's very easy to lose them. You have to use Siri to control volume (or pull your iPhone out and do it manually). Ultimately, after several days of really wanting to like them, I ended up returning them.

    Uncomfortable and Ugly

I had high hopes for the product due to Apple's focus on functionality and ease of use. In that area, I was slightly disappointed. While they pair easily and I never had an issue dropping connections, the lack of controls was problematic. I find myself reaching for my phone much more often than I thought I'd need and much more often than with my wired earbuds. The double tap feature works only sporadically. The earbuds are somehow less comfortable than the wired version. I was unable to keep them in my ears for more than 45 minutes at a time without ear discomfort. Additionally, it's impossible to exercise with them. On my first run, the earbuds fell out within 50 steps of my house. My second run, they last about a quarter mile, until the smallest bit of sweat entered my outer ear. I thought I could look beyond the horrendously ugly design in favor of ease of use, but the simply don't work that well. PROS: they pair very easily CONS: lack of controls, uncomfortable, fall out easily, ugly (they look like you have tubes hanging out of your ears), tinny sound for headphones this expensive.

So I cashed in a gift card from a warranty claim I had with a different pair of blutooth headphones (lg headphones) and bought these for everyday use. I use headphones all day at work and at the gym. To kick things off the battery life sucks for the actual headphones. Maybe gets a few hours of charge. Then, these stupid moron headphones never know when to pair to the phone. They are supposed to pair automatically as soon as you put them in your ear but they never work right. Absolutely not worth $150. I have had nothing but issues and now I cant even return them because Apple is annoying and doesnt let you make warranty claims unless you have their nonsense apple care. They do have decent sound quality and you can put them behind your ear so that's why it's a 2 star and not a 1. Also, I'm not an apple hater, I have had all kinds of other apple stuff, just these headphones are not great

The sound is good. I've had no complaints that people can't hear me when I use them with my cell phone. A big and repetitive problem for me is that I like to use them with different devices (not necessarily Apple) but, when I return to my iPhone, it's all I can do to get them to work again. I've tried many 'solutions' from the Internet. I have not hit upon a tried and true method. I never had this problem with my former competitor's headset. On bluetooth, it will say 'connect' but when I go to listen, the sound does not come out and I have to start all over again. I wish it wouldn't say 'connect' if it's really not connected with sound. I jump through so many hoops to get them to work again that I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it.

I liked apple products. In my last 15 years i have bought iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch, 4 iPhones, 3 iPads, 2 Macs, Apple tv, Magic Keyboard and finally this AirPods. But this AirPods has changed my view. Because of this product i have stopped liking Apple. @160 the product is performing like a 25 bucks refurbished Jabra/Plantronics wireless earbuds. Actually Jabra/Plantronics are better than this AirPods. The problem, I have faced so far with this AirPods are given below - 1. One side (it can be any one, right or left) stop working, suddenly and frequently without any reason. 2. both of the ear pieces are in my ears but suddenly stop working. 3. Continuously connecting and disconnecting from devices without any reason. Sound is OK, actually great for a apple fan like me. But, I will not recommend this product to anyone. and certainly i am returning this.

Wireless headphones that require your iphone or Apple Watch to raise and lower the volume?!? The two things you can do without touching your phone is double tap your earbud for Siri OR answer and end a call/stop and play music. When your not worrying about losing one or both your AirPods, you have an awesome case to put them in. The case charges the AirPods and the charge time is quick considering you can use them for a couple of hours. I like that you can put the case with the AirPods next to your iPhone and see how much charge your case and AirPods have. Cool feature Apple. I don’t leave my house without them but then again I did spend $172. Lower the price $40 and I would have given another star. Lol. Seriously, do I regret buying them? No. Would I recommend to friends and family? No. These headphones clearly are not for everyone.

I read lots of reviews for this product and most of them were positive, however I did not receive the quality of product that was advertised. I don’t know if for some reason I got a refurb. because I didn’t buy direct from Apple or something, but it was quite disappointing. -the battery life is supposed to be 5 hours on one charge for the AirPods. When talking on the phone I get about half of that. I have had several long conversations on the phone that last about 2 hours before one of the AirPods does on me. -the sound quality is pretty rough, sounds slightly blown out from the day I got them. -my left AirPod fits my ear well and I don’t have to readjust it, but the right one will slowly slip out over time. - overall the pairing works well and is very convienent. Has cut out a coupe times, but almost never.

I use these throughout the day for conference calls. Because the battery life isn't that good, I typically switch between one or the other, using both if I'm listening to music. Battery life is really poor. Additionally, they don't connect reliably. There's no button, they are supposed to power up when you put them in your ear. Sometimes they do quickly, sometimes the don't for a while. If you don't leave it in your ear, there's a 50-50 chance you'll have to answer on your phone, then try to force it over to the earpiece. If you leave it in your ear and get a call, you're supposed to be able to double-tap the earpiece to answer (since there's no button), I typically have to either tap more, or answer on my phone. If I were doing it over, I'd wait for the next gen.

The sound quality is not the issue or the battery life. The problem comes with how they fit your ear. I find it obnoxious when every minute I have to snug them into my ear so they stay put which they never do. The design leaves a lot to be desired when compared with other ear buds comparable in price. My other issue was with the sales person who didn't inform me that the buds weren't for exercising. I must say the whole experience has but a bitter taste in my mouth. I have purchased literally thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Best Buy I must say this last experience has placed that in jeopardy. So don't waste your time unless you want to sit like a statue. I gave these ear buds a two star rating and that's pushing it...

I am invested big time on Apple Ecosystem. These works great from the perspective of Connection, Switch between multiple devices and ease of use. Sound is good or rather sufficient, build quality as usual top class as you can expect only from Apple. However, these didn't work for me for simple reason they were falling out. May be i have big ear opening, but that doesn't matter, i tried them in the gym and they fallout within matter of seconds. Also, i would have use them for my office perspective, but they can be connected only to one device at a time, which is a big downside for me, unlike my Plantronics 5200, which are connected to my personal phone and office desk phone at the same time. So for me they are big disappointment.

Well my first two weeks with the product were amazing the least to say! Great Sound! Easy connectivity! Great Battery life! Until the third week when the ear buds starting cutting out and have high frequency noise issues. Everything is updated to latest software! I took the AirPods back to apple for warranty and the Genius Bar replaced them, but could not figure out how to connect more than one AirPod at a time. They went ahead and replaced them again and now I still have my third set that has great sound out of one AirPod. With countless hours of AppleCare on the phone and 4 hour at the apple store, I have not found a way to make them work. I would recommend EVERYONE to stay away from this generation of AirPods and buy something else!

The sound is great. Not as comfortable in my ears but other reviews say it's comfortable. Looks and feels like a good quality product. Volume is loud enough for me and I am hard of hearing. They work great with my iPhone. I purchased these AirPods for 25% iPhone use and 75% to use with my 2 Bluetooth tv's. I was able to pair the AirPods to the TV's but there is no volume control what so ever which rendered these 75% useless for me. Like I said these AirPods are great for the iPhone but if you intend to use this product on a non apple device, most likely you will not be able to use the main features like volume control. I am debating about returning or giving these AirPods to my wife who will get more use from the AirPods than I will

The sound quality (speaker and microphone) isn’t too bad. My ears will not accept these head phones at all so I need the third party over ear clips to hold them but that works well for me. However, the touch features of these head phones are beyond irritating. I used them when working out or cutting the grass and the sweat triggers all kinds of commands on them. Siri, pause, next, etc. can’t stand these things. I get the convenience of having those functions in the ear buds, but the touch feature makes the functions trigger unnecessarily and it makes them unusable. Using them for regular tasks is great, any kind of sweaty task, these things are useless.

Love the quality and the fact that u can use one earphone at a time. Hate the fact that u have to have ur devices all signed-in to the cloud in order to use them on anything else other than ur iPhone. So lame. Now I can't use them on any other device other than my iPhone, whereas I can Bluetooth my beats headsets with any device that is Bluetooth capable. Some people out there (like myself) don't just listen to music or movies off my own owned devices. Some of us share our iPads with our spouses or our children...who have their own iCloud IDs and who they have no interest in owning these EarPods. I am so mad that I didn't know this, in advance. Bc I would have purchased another Bluetooth headset instead.

Hey apple ! Please stop making these hard case , hard to stay in ears iPods. Every iPhone that comes with those standard hard shell hurt your ears ear plugs/iPods never get used by me. Maybe my ears aren’t built like others but they never work for me. When I turn my head they fall out . There’s nothing to actually give any sort of cushion to the ears while they’re inserted . A newer design would also help as other companies are wising up to this particular product and improving on it I gave my away ! Wasted money again.
