Absolute must for frequent travelers.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this device strictly for traveling purposes. All I have to do is plug in the ethernet cable to my device and I instantly can set-up my own password protected Wifi. Not only is the signal strength increased, but it protects my information on my laptop and iPhone from potential hackers. 100% worth every penny.

Good but not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that this is really compact. Signal strength is good but not the greatest. Overall, it's a good product.

perfect fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a great addition to an existing wireless network, allowing you to extend your existing wifi network without creating multiple confusing wifi signals in the process.. it also let's you connect speakers to it for airplay compatibility.. and wireless printing (though most printers now have built-in wifi)

Works Great, Simple Set Up (With One Catch)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this Airport Express to extend the range of the wifi we have off the cable modem from Verizon. It does the trick. I really like the simplicity of Apple products, as well as their elegance. The one catch is that the Airport utility app on my iphone is totally useless. It did not recognize the new Airport express even though it was within a few inches of it. I then went to my MacBook, which was in a totally different part of the house, and it found the base station immediately. There's an Airport Utility built into the MacBook's OS. Set up from that point on was about 2 minutes. Works well as a range extender even with the non-Apple cable modem.

Pricey, but better than cheaper routers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought a number of routers over the years, most were the LinkSys and D-Links, which had an average life of about 3-years. My first generation Time Capsule's Wi-Fi lasted about 5 and a half even with a known problem with overheating (which killed the hard drive early, but never effected the wifi). The Apple series of products are more expensive, but they do appear to last about twice as long and they are easier to set up, have much better range than I got with the cheaper models and are well designed to extend networks (i.e., very easy to set up the Express to extend my Time Capsule WiFi network). Even if I pay twice as much up front, I don't have to worry about routers giving out on me as often. All-in-all it is worth it.

Great for Airplay!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great option to extend airplay to a speaker system wirelessly. Takes less than 5 minutes to connect your Mac and then have music playing out of the speakers. Airplay sound quality is better than bluetooth and the OS X/iOS integration was key

WOW
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Made my internet so much faster. I'm very pleased with its performance as well as its easy installation and design! Maybe i'll settle for an Airport Extreme if this one goes out.. overall a great purchase.

What a Difference!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble with the Wi-Fi on the 2nd floor of my house. After setting this Airport express base station I was able to extend the Wi-Fi in my house and now I'm surfing at high speeds on my iPad and computer when upstairs. Apple makes it easy to set up too - go get yourself one! You will love it too!

Apple products are easy to setup and use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think that it may have taken more time to get it out of the box than to set it up and get it operational. The key is to find a spot in the house where the base station extension gets the best signal from the Airport Extreme Base. Use speedtest.net to determine this. That is what took the longest to do. After that is was easy. Just follow the instructions.

Perfect Wi-Fi Extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this Airport Express to extend wi-fi from my Time Capsule router to the other end of the house. The Time Capsule itself provided a signal, but much weaker. Adding this extender, which was extremely easy with Airport Utility app, creates a very strong signal throughout the house. Highly recommended.

Great, easy to set up 802.11n router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was really easy to set up with the Airport Utility app. It does only have 1 Ethernet port for your computer/wired device not the usual 4 ports, but you easily expand by hooking up a cheap network switch. I was able to workaround it by daisy-chaining modem to router to Ooma to desktop.

Next best thing to airport extreme
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this express to extend an existing network and it automatically extends everything already set in my airport extreme. All I did was select extend a network, tell it which one and boom done! Its also got all the same features as airport extreme minus the 4 ethernet ports and AC wireless connection.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an iPad, MacBook and an iPhone and this router worked perfectly with it. It's simple and easy to set up and even works great with no apple products. I even have it set up to my powered audio engine speakers for AirPlay support. You won't regret dropping $100 on this quality apple product!

Works Wonderfully
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.IF YOU DO NOT KNOW, THE APPLE AIRPORT EXPRESS WILL ONLY CONNECT TO AN APPLE AIRPORT EXTREME OR OTHER APPLE BASE STATION PRODUCTS. IT WILL NOT ACT AS A WIFI EXTENDER FOR AN EXISTING NON-APPLE ROUTER. That being said, this Airport Express works great as an extender to my Airport Extreme.

The Router Debate Ends Here.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After buying numerous routers over the past 10 years, from all of the known names, I finally bought what I should have known to buy without a thought or doubt. This dude gets you up and running with 2.4GHz and your 5GHz split with no troubles and it actually works! I may be an idiot and can not get my Zoom router/modem to transmit 5GHz and that is fine. I have it now. Plus the sync with iTunes and my HDMI receiver work with no hassles. You get what you pay for in wifi world. At 99 bones it is the logical choice and you can add any network setup of your design from here. I won't be buying anything else but Apple units for my network needs. Take A Bite, Stop Buying Moot Print On A Package On What The Router Does To Find it Does Not Do Exactly What It Described To You.
