Express doesn't have the expansion capability for wireless accessibility to an external hard drive. If going towards solid state laptop at any point in the future for home use (faster and lighter), consider spending the extra hundred for the Extreme. You can plug a hard drive into the Extreme and access anywhere on your wireless. Don't let the USB port in back of the Express fool you... only can plug in a printer.. which is great... but unless your printer stores photos or external data, upgrade. It will be worth it!

was really easy to set up, especially using the phone and the app.

We have had whole house audio for years, but always wanted to connect out iTunes library to receivers, we also use this with airplay. With this product we can do all of that, plus get an improved wireless network with provides more speed than what was provided by our wireless network router that came with our broadband provider. Excellent overall value!

As with nearly all Apple products, it is extremely easy to setup and works as advertised, but at a higher than average price tag. I use it primarily for network printing and occasionally for Apple's "Airport" wireless sound capabilities. Works great in both regards. I have yet to use it as a range extender, so I cannot comment on how well that works.

We already had the airport express wireless modem and one extender. Our house is very wide and we needed to extend the wireless network to the furthest bedroom on the opposite side of the house. We had the geek squad install the original system. This extender was installed with a short period of time. Excellent product and it's the latest in technology.

This product is great I loved it. Small but great performance!

Went to the store looking to get a NetGear router and ended up finding the Apple AirPort as a less expensive, smaller and easier to install option that had the same range and signal strength as several of the mid to upper tier NetGear and Linksys routers. Particularly good option if you have a few Apple products as the compatibility is an extra plus.

Works well with iMac, iPad, and iPhone. For some reason when it's being used with my Apple TV the connection is slow and spotty.
