I bought this as a wifi extender to my Airport extreme. Set up could not have been easier. and it just works. That being said. Since apple is dropping it's router line. would be hesitant to suggest more to buy. If wanting cheap router to integrate into apple ecosystem then get them now before gone.

Yep ... yet another great Apple product. Buy it, plug it in and voila, all is well. No work involved, plug and play.

I added this with the Airport Extreme to use my wireless in the living room. Works great . Never any problems.

I own two other Airport Express and an Airport Extreme for my wi-fi network. They are the easiest and most reliable routers/extenders that I have used. For the most part they are plug and play. When connected to an existing wi-fi network they will automatically configure themselves to either create or extend a network. This is based on whether they detect an existing network. In a Mac based system the Apple AirPlay utility is used to configure the device. The app is available for iOS or OS X. In the case of this most recent purchase, the Airport Express is configured as a bridge. This allows it to connect ethernet devices to the wi-fi network, but not function as a repeater. I needed to connect a laptop through its ethernet port to my wi-fi network, but since I already have two repeaters, I did not need that capability. This unit then talks directly to the Airport Extreme router. This is easily done with the Airport app. Not simple, but far easier than other router/bridges I've used.

We used this to extend a wireless network. Added additional range with out and noticeable loss in connectivity.

This router works seamlessly with other Apple devices and setup is very simple. Some people may not see the reason to spend the extra money on Apple products. The ease of installation, great customer service, and the ability to purchase the Apple Care warranty later than 14 days after purchase, in most cases 1 year later as long as the product is not damaged, is worth it.

Replaced an older Airport. This worked out of the box, with good instructions. Faster than the older version.

Far out performs standard routers especially the linksys I've used in the past! Apple quality is hard to beat!

Very easy to set up. Used the Apple app to make adjustments to get the Express to work with my existing network.

Easy to setup and to use. I can use the airport utility app and see if there's any problems with the internet.

Plug and play. Works really well. Reset device to factory settings if you run into issues. Worked for me!
