I already own several of these, using them to extend my network into nearby buildings that are part of the complex that I run. Set up and monitoring is a breeze using Apple's Airport Utility app. Signal strength and range are excellent. As a standalone Wi-Fi signal for your Internet or as an extender for your network the Airport Express is great.

I use Airport Express (AE) as my primary router. I prefer AS as it is dual band, fast, and very reliable. In addition, I use Airplay to stream music from my mobile devices. The audio fiber optic output in the AE is connected to my DAC, which drives my whole house audio system. AE never crashes and if very high quality.

I was buying this to "Apple Proof" my mom's house. I used my Macbook Pro to set it up. Worked flawlessly. I have two iPhones , iPad mini, Apple tv all running off it this. I was also able to attach a booster antenna to this so I can get Wifi in the backyard so that works.

I bought the airport express to stream music from my phone and computer. It is a great alternative to buying Sonos speakers. If you have perfectly good powered speakers or docking stations with the headphone type conection, you can use your phone with the free remote and air port utility apps to control your music where ever you have an airport express hooked to powered speakers.
I have one hooked up to a KLIPSCH docking station and one hooked up to my 35 year old Kenwood receiver with rock speakers by my pool and it is a great way to control your music from your phone. A lot cheaper than buying Sonos. I spent $200 for two airport express. It would have cost more than $600 to do the same with Sonos. Not that Sonos is a bad product. I think it is a very good product , but if you have stereo systems already, airport express is much more economical to set up. Utube has great instructional videos on set up.

Since I purchased my fourth generation AirPort Extreme in mid 2011, I have bought and installed many of these Apple routers for friends and family with no issues. The setup can be done right from an iPad or iPhone in minutes by anyone regardless of their technical ability. While these routers lack many of the configuration options and features of other comparably priced routers, the simplicity of them makes it hard to foul them up. The range on this Airport Express is far superior to that of the previous wireless n router we used at this location previously and it handled the demands of several devices simultaneously with no issues. Anywhere that I have technologically impaired friends, this is the only router I recommend.

I purchased this router to expand the range on my home network. I also had an AirPort Extreme base station that I used but the range wasn't wide enough. The airport express was very easy to add on to my network and works flawlessly. Express is somewhat pricey for functionality but overall provides good value.

I have the Comcast standard box that combines router and modem. The wifi is garbage. I hooked up the airport express, no hassle, selected the 5ghz network, and presto. For $100, my wifi works perfectly. Took 10 minutes to set up through the iPhone app. If you want something that just works, there is no better buy.

Using it as an extender, connected to an Apple Time Capsule. I needed a better signal in a section of the house with two bedrooms and Garage (stream music). Solved the range problem I was looking to fix. Also, Apple devices automatically connect to the closest (Airport Express or Time Capsule) one. While it works great and as expected, rating a 4 due to the mode being A/N (not AC) and no ability to see network diagnostics, without 3rd party apps.

Our previous routers were Belkin in the $70-80 price range. This Apple product is a little more expensive ($100) but it is well worth it. Not only more reliable (less interruptions in streaming video and use of devices on different floors of the house), but it is also compact and of easily is hidden from view.

I live in a two-story townhouse and the coverage is much better than the last wireless router I had. I love that I just plugged in the AirPort and it only took a few steps to get it up and running flawlessly. It has incredible range along with separate frequencies for my computers and iPhones. Love it.

Perfect Replacement for Old Airport

The Apple Airport Express Base Station was the perfect replacement for our old, outdated airport express which had to be at least 10 or more years old. It was very easy to install, runs like a charm & never freezes. Apple makes quality products... I wouldn't consider buying any other brand.

I have two of these in my home, they are just rock solid. Super easy to set up. Best thing about them is they just work! I have had other routers that need to be rebooted on a regular basis, the airport express rarely needs any maintenance.

Have these stationed around house for external use while mowing grass or just sitting out side. Have a brick home with a basement were primary receiver is so these give me the boost I need. Easy set up with a Mac product but takes a little bit longer with a Pc. Need 20 or better on you're cable, fiber optic's would be the best. So keep checking you're modem speed at least once a month if new homes are being built in you're area and call and complain if signal week, you are paying for a certain speed so make them fix it or adjust you're bill

By simply switching to the Airport Express my signal strength increased to its maximum 150+mps and my upload speed is better then ever! It also has dramatically increased the range in how far I can go and still get adequate signal strength! It's just another great device from Apple!

In modifying my house to become a "Smart Home" I needed my wifi to be extended to give these units a strong reliable signal to work consistently.
I bought the Air Pot Express as the mate to my AirPort Extreme. The setup was amazingly easy, I opened the AirPort Utility on my iPad and when I plugged in the Express and it found my network it asked me if I wanted to use it as an extender, I hit Yes and it was working. I now have a strong wifi signal thru the closed door into the garage and the room above it .

I purchased this as a WiFi extender and setting up couldn't have been easier. Within minutes, I was able to add this to my original network and extended the range of signal. Definitely worth it since it’s easy to set up and it just works.

The installation of the Apple - AirPort Express Base Station is not complicated at all, even for someone with not a lot of Technological knowledge (just like me). It looks super nice and sleek. I use it as a router, and so far it has worked out perfectly.
