Works good once you figured it out.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using it as an extender of existing very old router (D-link). Being dual band, it greatly improved WiFi signal strength around my small house. It can be used on its own as wireless and ethernet connected. However, it has only one Ethernet port which can be very limiting when multiple wired devices are needed. Design is very minimalist, simplistic and small footprint which is an advantage in tight spaces. Set up was very difficult even when using included instructions, but I am not a tech geek type and so that might have been my disadvantage in setting up. Somehow accidentally got it to work and not even sure what I did to make it work. Connection speed increased. It is not slow, but not as lightning fast as I wanted it to be. Could be my cable service quality, not sure. Overall though, I'd "likely" recommend it to others.

Not close to Sonos
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this in a last ditch effort to avoid buying a Sonos Connect to stream music (Spotify and Pandora) in my house. It was easy to set up and I used an optical audio out cable to connect it to my stereo via an Arcam rLink outboard DAC. I found the sound quality to be pretty good and I liked that I got to use the native app's interface to select my music but two things bothered me: 1) The 2-3 second lag every time I tried to do something (start music, stop music, change track, look at iPad) was not only very irritating but also very un-Apple and 2) the gain on the audio volume was a little weak (meaning I had to crank my volume up to 70% to get sufficient volume out of it compared to 50% under my Roku streamer). In the end, the lagginess irritated me too much and I sold it off to my less picky friend.

Answered prayer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Couldn't get high speed wifi to save our life. This device upgraded our speeds so that we were getting over 60 gbps on our cell phones and computers in the far corners of our house. A big this is it shoots out on a different frequency.

Excellent Wireless Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own three of these. Two are still in use, an older one has been retired because it does not use the newer protocols. I bought this one to use as the primary router for a vacation home. The guest network option is a plus for a vacation home because it allows only Internet access and no access to files and other computers on the network. I use another one in my primary home as a network extender to boost the signal to all areas of the house. These units are exceptionally easy to set up using the Airport Utility on an Apple computer, iPad, or iPhone.

It just works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having worked at Best Buy and being the IT guy for my family I have literally used every sub $100 router that is sold at Best Buy. This is the best router you can get if you want to set it and forget it. My only knock on this router is the price. I'd say it is worth more like $75 because of the range. In my apartment (1200 sqft) and my sisters home (2000 sqft) it covers everything and operates beautifully. In my parents older home (4700 sqft) with dense construction it has some blind spots. Setup was a breeze I set up one network at my place with my iphone and my sister's network I setup with a computer. Both ways very simular and really easy. I have never had to reset this router which is great because getting a call at 10 at night from my parents because they can't watch netflix is annoying to no end.
