Customers consistently note the AirPort Express Base Station's ease of use, impressive range, and strong signal strength as significant benefits. Many appreciate its compact size and straightforward setup process, while seamless compatibility with Apple products is also frequently praised. However, some users find the price to be relatively high and express a desire for more ports. The device's performance is generally viewed favorably.

Like this router a lot, the airport utility software makes it easy to setup and manage. Also great to use these as wifi extenders if you already have a network setup with another airport express

Good base station for extending coverage. Very easy to set up and maintain from iPhone. Speed limitations that are built into the product which prevent high speed wifi make it good but not excellent.

I have all Apple products so I decided to go with the Airport Express when I finally got internet at home. I followed the directions and everything linked right up. I'm also able to have a separate guest login which I like.

I wanted a way too stream music directly to Sonos using airplay on my iPhone. The sonos app, at this time doesn't allow users to play music from iCloud, unless you connect an airport express line-in to a play 5 speaker.

There's a certain universal simplicity to connecting new hardware to your existing Apple producs, and this is no exception. Plug it in and follow the prompts in the utility that automaticall launches, and it just works.

I used this item to extend my wifi signal in an upstairs area of my home that tended to have weak signal or drop off wifi. I use an Extreme Base Station in the central downstairs area. This was very simple to set up in about 2 minutes, and works great for my needs. Has also extended my wifi signal outside!

I've read reviews about this router before buying it and some said negative things about its reliability but I bought it anyway to expand my network by wirelessly connecting it (very easy to do-it practically connects itself) to my AirPort Extreme (located in my finished basement by my desktop computer and wired to my cable modem) since I get a weak signal on the second floor and it totally fixed my weak signal issue. I hope it lasts longer than some other reviewers said theirs did. So far, I'm happy with my purchase.

Apple products are always a little pricey but I feel you get what you pay for and in this case I got a great and reliable router. I have jumped on the apple bandwagon and haven't looked back since. Great products. The air port is secure and really reliable. I remember having to constantly reset my linksys router and haven't had to touch this one

Simple Apple Brand Router

The airport express is everything it's bigger siblings do. Dual band wifi, ipv6, printer sharing, ect. What it doesn't do is have additional ports for wired connectivity and hard drive sharing. In essence, it's just an "add-on" anntenna to your ISP modem. If your home is primarily wifi based and/or mobile only products, this would be ok. If your expectation is a small home-office or gaming setup, this would not be enough. Although elegant and simple as most apple products are, it's just missing something. As a primary router, it would fail because lack of ports. As a media server, you are unable to connect a hard drive (why is that??) If you want an additional antennae for weak wifi spots, this would be great. Just don't make it your primary router.

As usual for Apple products, the set up was a breeze: enter a name, enter a password, pick the name, enter the password on the device and you are connected. Take it to another provider's Internet cable modem, plug it in and have immediate connection to all devices, both Apple and Windows. Couldn't be easier! Good reception throughout our home.
