Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the AirPort Extreme Base Station's ease of use, range, and performance. Many also highlight the strong signal strength and relatively easy setup process, resulting in great coverage. However, some customers find the price to be a bit high. A few also mention that the size could be smaller and that more Ethernet ports would be beneficial.

Super easy to install and setup. From start to finish, I'm guessing it was twenty minutes to take out the old and WiFi was running on the new! I am running faster than the old Netgear too. Everything in electronics should be so easy.

I have always bought Cisco or Linksys until now. The Apple Airport Extreme not only looks good, but also works extremely well. It covers the full range of my house with multiple connected devices. It was extremely easy to setup.

My internet was so slow that it would take all night to do my work. Now it is very fast and reliable. Also the link to my wireless printer makes my work much more efficient.

Windows user will need to download small app to set it up. Once set up, it is a decent router. Good range. The router is downstairs and I still get a signal upstairs. Not an apple fan, but will give credit where it's warranted. It looks good and performs well. 4.5/5

I have been using Apple Airport products for many years. They are reliable, easy to setup and maintain and provide very good wireless coverage for most homes. They are easy to expand using multiple devices. Highly recommend

This was the easiest set-up ever! It took less than 5 minutes from beginning to end. Set up using an iPhone was very user friendly. The router has worked seamlessly with no connectivity problems since the set up. The data speed is definitely noticeable on all computers and data streaming devices. I've used a number of different routers over the years; this one is performing the best so far. I'm very happy with this product.

You can't go wrong with Apple. Has beam forming technology. Good range and is fast. It has 3 Ethernet ports and 1 2.0 USB port. It's has 1 light on the front and you can use your old Apple router as an extender if needed.

Bought an AirPort Extreme a after dealing with ATT's atrocious gateways dropping wireless signals and constantly bottlenecking a 25mbps connection while watching a 3min 1080p video. The AirPort Extreme set up quickly in DHCP mode and easily retrieved an IP address to work for flawlessly behind the gateway acting as a modem (bridge mode). Have had absolutely zero issues so far, connection is strong and speeds are consistent. Definitely recommend this to anyone needed a high end AC router for it's dependability and ease of use.

This replaced 5th generation Airport Extreme & the signal strength difference is quite noticeable! Although I currently only have 802.11N devices, the signal strength & speed difference is night & day! Great coverage throughout my home and I have excellent speed with multiple (6) devices on wi-fi while streaming movies on at least two of them! I am quite impressed! Can't wait to see what the difference is with an 802.11AC device!

Fast, easy, reliable router! Im running 2 Macbook Pro's, 2 iPads, and 2 iphone 7's. Plus a HP wireless printer, Google Home, and a couple other add-ons. The Airport handles them all, no problem at all.

I love it. I wanted something to boost my WiFi power and range and this is perfect. I am never out of range now. And the speed is fabulous. My grandchildren play PS3 through it and I can still work and surf the net.

Airport works great. Simple to setup and maintain, especially when you have an iphone/ipad/mac. Puts out a great wireless signal and doesn't have issues of internet going out. Like most Apple products, the just work!

    Improved Performance from AirPort!

They actually improved upon the performance of the AirPort with this new rendition. Definitely worth upgrading. Noticeably faster, has a higher capacity for number of wireless devices that can connect to it (20, I believe), and super easy set-up (especially if you have a Mac). It is a little pricey considering it is only a router (no modem or hard drive back-up), but once I was rewarded with the improved performance and coverage it was well worth the price of admission. You really can't go wrong with the AirPort.

I bought this to replace a FiOS router that was just not getting me very good range. The range on this Apple router is WAY BETTER. Very simple to setup and update via iOS apps on ipad or iPhone. I love it.

I bought this for use in our downstairs home office and I get good speed throughout the house on my laptop, iPad, Xbox One, and Apple TV. My Netflix stream is working great on Apple TV as well. The connection was easy to setup using an app that I downloaded on my iPad. The connection has been reliable in the one month that I have owned it.

This is one of the more expensive routers I've purchased but it's a very good value. Setup was very simple (I used my iPad). The signal strength is solid. I don't really need my extender anymore. Recommended.

This is a great router with 801.11 AC way to future proof your router. Setup was easy was able to even use with ATT Uverse with little setup just set to bridge mode. Like the guest network and the USB port to be able to store things on the hard drive. Connecting the external hard drive was a challenge since it was a Windows hard drive had to format to be able to read on Apple. Then have to map the drive on computer. Wasn't to difficult once figured that out. Overall great router great range and speed.
