I had last gen AirPort Extreme and it was a game changer, this takes it into a whole new realm. And I used my old Extreme to extend my network even further. Apple kudos once again.

Have had linksys routers in the past and wanted to bump up to AC for my iPad air 2. Was also having consistent issues with old router with more devices being added to it. first off, apple router is dead simple to set up and get going. Some reviewer quibble about lack of high end settings. for those that need to tinker like that, that is a fine criticism, but for the general public at large this is a great router! Incorporated well into my existing system. Have noticed a improved and consistent handling of data even under the stress of extra devices on network with family and friend get togethers. Really like having the guest network feature.

The setup was rakky easy. Truly plug and play...the range is good. Works very well with mac.. sorry don't know about Windows

Only works as good as the cable modem plugged to it and the internet service you buy! Couldn't really tell a difference on day to day products (older laptop, iPhone 4s) but with my new MacBook Air and my sisters iPhone 6s there was definitely an increase of speed! It's kinda large, not a very sleek design as the old ones.

In the last year I have purchased a number of connected home wifi devises that need a good wifi signal for them to perform properly. The basic wifi connection I was getting from my cable provider was not cutting it. So I upgraded to their super duper wifi router. Big mistake, although I had some improvement it was still marginal. I called my cable provider and told them my problem and they said to upgrade my wifi signal to 75 Mbps for additional $50 dollars a month. I did see some improvement but again it was marginal. Then my friend told me about the apple AirPort Extreme base station and highly recommended this. Desperate I ran down to Best buys where I have purchased a number of connected home devices. I purchased the AirPort Extreme, took it home, plugged it into my cable router and set it up with apple support. When I hung up with Apple my son was in the adjacent room and ask " Dad did you do something to the wifi ? it is amazingly fast. When I heard that I went around the house checking all my devices and found " through my apps" that my devices were working at there optimum performance. It was a miracle that my friend recommended the AirPort Extreme to me. If you really want a product that does the job. Get an apple AirPort Extreme I highly recommend it.

The Apple Airport Extreme is by far the wireless base station out there. It's easy to set up and manage and has a really good range. It also looks nice with it's clean modern design.

Very easy to install. Provides WiFi throughout my home. This replaced a Time Capsule which was acting squirrely. With my data stored in the cloud I no longer need a Time Machine.

Apple Extreem is so easy to set up if you have a iPhone or iPad. If your house is super large or you need range outside, you can easily add a apple express

Sucks it went up $20 but love the ac technology. I feel like I'm getting as much of the speed that my ISP is providing me. Only other negative other than the price going up $20 is that sometimes (usually once a month or so) I'll have to reboot it as Time Machine doesn't find the external hard drive disc I have connected. (May be a software/connection issue with my macbook though) Overall great product; faster, better range, slick design.

I originally purchased this item because I needed it in order to extend a network with another Apple product. What I got was fantastic results from a state-of-the-art router. Internet set up was a breeze, the streaming that I was trying to do work flawlessly, and Internet speeds seem to be rather increased from my old AC router. I'm used to using Netgear is an Linksys routers Because of their technology but the Apple router is definitely one of the better Apple networking products in a long time. I highly recommend it specifically because I was able to use the set of feature on my phone. This was so simple to set up. I usually would go into the networking and diagnostic and download and upload capabilities but I don't think you want to hear that here. just know that you actually are getting a solid router. I love the sleek design in the way that it is a minitower and it just goes well with all my other devices.

I switched from a NetGear WiFi access point to the Apple Airport Extreme. There were problems getting all of my WiFi devices to connect to the NetGear. This device has been great thus far and has provided greater range than what before. 4 Stars rather than 5 because of the cost - there is a premium price for this unit.

I know this isn't much of a technical critique but I'd buy this again. It works great. It is fast. It has great range. I had the old Airport Express and this works even better.

I live in a townhouse-style apartment complex and there's a lot of walls to deal with, not to mention multiple wi-fi networks all around. The AirPort boosted our speed and clarity, reduced quality issues, was easy to set up, and works great on all our devices, not just Apple products.

Absolutely recommend this router for any apple products you have. It will convert an existing apple network and it will add the old extreme router to extend the network. Great.

Finally a router that's as robust as their MacBooks. Easy simple setup, worked flawlessly since I bought it, unlike the others.

I purchased this router to enhance my home Wifi (the ISP router was not strong enough). Very easy to set-up and was able to provide coverage to my home.

Replaced an older AirPort Extreme and set up was so simple. The speed increase is awesome as well as the range in the house.

I have two wireless routers in my home the Airport Extreme and the Verizon Fios router while both give great speed. Definitely prefer the Airport over the Verizon router

I have been an Apple Airport user since day 1. This version is simplistic to set up, works great and I keep great internet speeds with very few dropouts over wireless.

Got a second router for my network. Already enjoyed the features of the 1st Airport Extreme, just needed extended range. The best thing about it was that when I plugged it in it immediately recognized the other device and gave me an option to set it up as an extending unit. Simple, quick, and problem solved! Love my Apple products! Oh, and doubled my wifi range and still have tons of speed!
