This router gives you excellent range, great speed, and the ability to control all facets of it from an app right on your phone. Definitely the quality you would expect from an apple product. It easily covers my whole 2500sf house.

When it comes to simple setup and maintenance, this product is top notch. Great range, lots a flexibility as far as the types and number of concurrent device connections. Only downside, and this is NOT a flaw in the equipment.... If you utilize AT&T Uverse, you can not use the guest network. The AT&T back end setup won't allow it to function properly.

I was able to configure this device in less than five minutes. Configuration was done using my iPad Air. All wireless devices were connected effortlessly. Strong signal in all areas in my home. Very very happy with this purchase.

Wide range and excellent speeds. Never down Easy installation

I've gone through a number of routers and found the AirPort Extreme the easiest to setup of any of them. Performance is fine. It updates firmware on its own. The only slight negative is you must have an Apple device (iPhone, iPad or Mac) to set it up and monitor it's performance.

I've had several routers over the years that have performed admirably. However, the Apple Extreme was by far the easiest to install and has provided a consistent strong signal throughout my home. It was actually recommended by my internet service provider. Great product.

This router has done everything we needed it to and was super easy to set up from my MAC so that all of our PCs, Macs, Phones, iPads, game systems, ect could all connect. Speeds have been great and better than the previous router we had and the signal strength is significantly better and now stretches out to our backyard and into our garage.

I already had one of these from prior use, but needed to extend the range of my Interned vendor-provided wifi router to reach a shop in our backyard. At the suggestion of our Internet provider, I tried a Linksys range extender, but it required a separate .net name on the end of my wifi so ended up being a separate network that required my devices to drop my house wifi and pick up the extended range wifi...and that didn’t work nor was the quality of the range extended. So I read up on this Apple wifi router and found that if I replaced my Internet vendor-provided wifi router with my old Apple AirPort Extreme, I could seamlessly extend my Apple-based wifi with a second Airport Extreme. Lo & behod, it worked perfectly! My wifi is now strongly extended out to my shop, and several speed tests confirmed the AirPort Extreme powerfully extended our home wifi out to the shop with the same wifi address as the base unit — Outstanding! The only issue is that was a pretty pricy solution, but it did what I needed where my internet provider had no other solution.

Bought this to replace a rather outdated D-Link router. What a difference, both in performance and easy administration. While the old D-Link was very reliable it just suffered from being too darn old. I 'm glad I went this route (no pun intended, sort of). I've had no downtime at all with the Airport Extreme and it was a breeze to set up.

Set-up could not be easier on this. The unit is also very reliable and the signal is very strong. I can cover my entire house. This was an upgrade from an old, original airport extreme. I couldn't be happier.

This is a great product. It increased the range of my wireless signal and drastically improved the speed than my previous access point provided by my internet service provider. Furthermore with the download of the free mobile app, set up and configuration was extremely easy which sets this apart from the competition. Definitely recommend.

Incredibly simple to set up and has excellent range and speed

These are great routers for speed and covering big spaces. They are incredibly easy to setup with the Airport Utility app available on Apple devices. If you have a large space and want to take it one step further, you can buy one (or more) Airport Express devices that operate on the same wireless network generated by the Airport Extreme.

This is a nice router. I bought it to complement an older Airport Extreme router to provide better coverage for my home. You can find equally good routers without paying for the Apple name, but I chose to spend more because I knew setting this up with my other Apple router would be easy. Setup was trivial, it imported my settings from my old router to set this one up as primary, then I was able to set up the old router as an extension with just a few clicks.

This is my 2nd Apple Extreme that I have purchased. First one was 3 years old still working great, wanted to extend our coverage in the house so purchased this one as my primary and using old one as the extension to it. Over all, these routers do not need to be restarted or has no maintenance at all Plug it once and just works. Setting it up is so awesome specially going from old to new one. It pretty much copies everything over you for you, including all related passwords. All devices connected to old routers will conned to new as the result of the easy setup. I have also heard Apple is going to stop making them but not sure how true is that. The look of it is just perfect as well.

i previously had a 2nd gen airport extreme and loved it and after 7 years the connection was spotty 3-4 times a week.. i figured i got my moneys worth and got the current gen airport extreme! all the new features and still the same reliability... dont buy a $50 router and replace it every year buy a good router and enjoy the SPEED!

This router is easy to set up if you aren't great with technology. Just download the Airport Utility from Apple on your Mac/PC/iOS Device and follow the instructions (which are very concise). If you are a more advanced user, you can attach a storage device over USB, attach a printer for wireless printing, use port forwarding, set up a guest network, and much more. The range is also great compared to other wireless routers I've had in the past. My only problem with this product is that it's priced higher than similar products, and that the USB port is only 2.0. However, it has been reliable like all of my other Apple products, and is more like an appliance rather than a fiddly piece of computer hardware.

I bought this to replace my old Belk in DB600. What a difference!!!! The apple airport extreme gets my consistent wifi speeds at the rate I pay for. Also, the setup was VERY easy using an apple ipod touch. I didn't try it with my Dell PC though. This version is also a dual band router and setting up two SSIDS was a breeze.

Best router ever! More reliable than d-link, linksys, etc. works well with mix of PC and iPad, Galaxy tab. It's so easy to configure - took about 5min! All others took me over 30min to configure. I will recommend this to everyone - and I don't even like Apple!

Easy to set up, worked right out of the box - just like you would expect from an Apple product. Boosts our wifi signal in a 2 story townhome so that all corners of both floors are covered with increased speed.
