This is a great watch and I love all the application that you can put on it. Works Great with my phone. It is however, very expensive and the protection plan is also expensive.

Many of the apps are still very dependent on your phone being nearby or at best the watch works like a very expensive remote. The "item included" or "promotion" of 3 months free of Apple Music is actually false advertising in that Apple gives away a free 3 month trial to anyone who hasn't already subscribed to Apple Music. There is no Apple Music incentive to buy the watch and Spotify premium members still only have a very limited app (glorified remote) to use the watch when paired with a phone.

Personally I think most Apple products are overpriced and overrated for what you get. The two things they are good at (but it costs you) is build quality and style. My wife likes it a lot and since it makes her happy I bought it. Oh well....

Great product! Like the fact that you don't have to sign up right away for the cellular plan when you purchase it. Very sleek looking and with the Nike version you can track your running with the Nike Run Club app installed on your watch. I would recommend getting the Apple Care protection when purchasing it. My first Apple Watch I purchased through Best Buy did not have it and a year later my screen digitizer cracked. It would cost over 200 to fix!

The only device I have that still amazes.

Even though it is last year's model, this Apple Watch (Series III) with Cellular, still amazes me and surprises my friends with how well it works. After years of never allowing myself to be more than a few feet from my iPhone, I can now go almost anywhere without it and only barely miss it because I can still get (and make) calls, texts and emails. In fact, if you did not need an iPhone to make one work (an unfortunate shortcoming, even with the cell enabled model), you could probably do quite well withOUT owning a phone, so long as you had a cellular connected tablet to take with you when needed. My biggest complaint about the watch is that it does not pair with other types of devices and work as a wifi hotspot, since these two features would mostly eliminate the need for a pricey additional device. If for no other reason, this watch has improved my productivity by keeping me more punctual and less forgetful about time. The reason is that I set timers and reminders 3 or 4 times more often than before because doing so is remarkably fast and easy by speaking into the watch. The heartbeat monitor appears accurate for me 80% of the time within about 5 bpm, which I think is within an acceptable margin of error, and it charges so quickly that I can wear it all day and night and charge it in the morning when I am showering and getting dressed. I doubt that it will be more than a couple of more years before most people look strangely at anyone who wears an antiquated non-smart watch, in light of how useful and bug free the Apple Watch has become, and one presumes other manufacturers' watches will soon be. In fact, I recently sold an expensive mechanical watch because this watch has convinced me that in the near future brandishing it will signal approximately as much social status as answering a flip phone or listening to a headphone radio with a telescoping antenna. Bottom line, if I did not own an iPhone, I would switch just so that I could take advantage of this device until the competition catches up.
