I was skeptical of smartwatches in general for a while now, but I have to say I'm impressed. Having the ability to glance at notifications and decide how to deal with them is a more pleasant experience then having to pull your phone out every time it buzzes. I generally keep my phone in a backpack when I'm on campus, so being able to just leave it in there and practically forget about it is great. Even just walking downstairs for a bit, i don't have to remember to grab my phone off my desk. It's definitely a convenience purchase, but I like it. The band it came with is comfortable for me, but I may try another one after a while. I've been a watch guy all my life, and I was afraid this would feel bulky or uncomfortable because of how thick it is. Honestly It's lighter than my analog watch, and the thickness is not noticeable in the slightest. I got used to wearing it minutes after putting it on. Your results may vary but if you're already used to wearing a watch you shouldn't have a problem here. I highly recommend this product as a luxury purchase. While it does not add very much utility, it adds an extra layer of convenience into the iPhone lifestyle, and if you have the money, I'd say it's worth it.

I have never owned a smartwatch and didn't think I would use one. For Christmas this year my wife took me to Best Buy to pick out an Apple watch. She has had a first generation one since they were released. I am 55 years old and use my phone for basic functions, talk, text, internet and a few apps. The watch was not in stock but was shipped to me within a few days. I was impressed with the packaging and it was fully charged. It is fairly intuitive to operate, so was able to start using immediately. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up and when using how smooth it works with my phone. I have not had the first issue and contrary to what I thought, I use it all the time. It has cut down dramatically on the number of times in a day I fish my phone out of my pocket. I did not get the cellular option. That said I am very impressed with the fitness function. I trail run and mountain bike and find the distance, time, and elevation change to be very accurate whether I carry my phone along or not. This alone makes this purchase a winner for me. As with all Apple products the build quality and finish is impeccable, I highly recommend to anyone considering a smart watch!

That was the question. Well it started when I bought one for my youngest daughter to wear for safety at school. Excellent price at BB. Then my older daughter's birthday came up so we bought her one. Excellent price at BB. Then my wife had to have one of course. I was the hold out. What would I do with it? But with the price so low at BB I thought I'd try it and could always return it if I didn't find a use for it. Well, it's become another one of those magical gadgets that makes you use it. I think eventually the Apple Watch series will be the device that fits all needs. Messages, workouts, calls, email, etc right on your wrist. Yes I still need my iPhone but I can leave it in my pocket and just flip my wrist to see what's going on. As a teacher I can leave my phone on the desk or in my pocket and just sneak a look at the watch when need be. So convenient, so cool! And a great price at BB!!!

Can’t think of anything negative to say. I had to get leather wrist bands that would contour my skinny wrists better. To change the bands you just push a button on the back while sliding it out. I also advise you buy some sort of protective cover. I didn’t realize how often I hit things with my wrist. You can’t listen to music on it but you can control the music that is played on your phone or wireless earphones, from it. As long as you have your phone nearby, you can receive calls and text or make them. I don’t know how far you can be before it loses connection. I’ve been at one end of my house (a two story) and my phone at the other end of the house and was able receive phone calls! It’s not heavy to wear.

I always looked at the apple watch as more a toy instead of a fitness tracker. Until I read the article regarding it saving a guy's life when it recognized an irregular heart beat while he was resting. I decided to invest in it out of curiosity. I wanted an accurate fitness tracker that was going to last me longer than 6 months (stares at Fitbit). Now I can't seem to go a day without it. It's motivated me to workout and run even more during the week. Thanks to the notifications I have looked at my phone a lot less during the day at work. I find it almost a necessity if you own Air Pods as it makes controlling your music a lot easier. This coming from a guy that hasn't worn a watch in more than 20 years. I find it comfortable, light weight, and easy on the wrist. The battery life far exceeds my expectations. At the end of the day even after heavy use I found to have around 60% battery life left on it. I'm looking forward to developers taking advantage of its popularity and developing more apps that interface with it. I've found it to be a worthy investment mainly for my health, but also for the convenience.

    Apple Watch - the best!

First, I've been in process of "switching" from Windows/PC to Apple formats over the past 7 years. First it was our iMac, then an iPad, then an iPhone, then Apple tv and now an Apple Watch. So, obviously I love the seamless connectivity between all Apple products. Second, I'm sure I'm only using about 50% (at most) of the functionality of my Apple Watch. My son (almost 30) gave me a brief training session last week, but I need to learn more. I'm impressed with everything that's packed into it. Third, I've used a smartwatch (Garmin vivoactive HR) for 3 years, so I'm used to the practicality of a wrist-worn device when running, walking, hiking, biking, etc. Finally, it's just darn cool. And I love the endless number of apps, not to mention the availability of different watch bands, watch faces and more. I highly recommend it, unless you're a diehard Android/Samsung/etc fan. You won't be disappointed with an Apple Watch!

So I purchased my first apple watch several years ago and fell in love, it's super convenient, handy, and efficient, super customizable and just plain cool. I use it whenever I can and to me it's completely worth it, however, my first watch (series 1) was not the shatter-resistant sport watch, it was the super durable expensive scratch-proof one I paid like $600-ish bucks for. When updating to the series 3 it took me less than a week and a scratched screen to realize that it didn't come with the durable screen like my last one and granted, I didn't pay quite as much the first one because I incorrectly figured it wasn't a breakout product like the first one so they were trying to make them a little more affordable as it was still a quite a hefty price-tag, but lesson learned... I guess you can order one with the crazy durable screen for a significant upcharge but my advice is don't assume its there and go ahead and purchase a screen protector. (which did make the watch less receptive to my touch)

I upgraded from the original version and this is so incredibly much faster. Blown away by how I can control music from my phone or music stored on my watch and play it on my bluetooth speakers or headphones. It all works incredibly seamless. I didn't think the LTE version was necessary since my phone is always with me. It's not worth the $10/month for the very rare occasion where I might need especially since iPhones are now water resistant. The Apple Watch isn't a product that blows you away, but after you wear it for 3 months, you look back and realize it does so many little things that you're not willing to give up and that's why you wear it every day.

My grandfather thought my Apple Watch was neat so I purchased him one as a surprise. He loved it. He used it for everything. His health rapidly declined over the last year and he was on several medications and took nitroglycerin. With the nitroglycerin he would have to wait 2 min before taking another one if needed and he used it to tell Siri to set the timer. When he needed help with things he would use it to tell Siri to text or call my grandmother to come help him. He used the mickey screen saver since you could tap the screen and mickey would tell you the time. He kept it on 24/7 and was a life saver in many ways. Sadly he passed away and my grandmother now uses it. She doesn’t use it for anything other than for Mickey Mouse to tell her the time and to feel close to my grandpa since he loved it so much.

This was my second apple watch in less than 6 months. The first one I bought at another store. I had to return it because the magnetic /charging part of my watch stopped working. I couldn't charge it. I returned it and bought this 42 mm (previous was 38 mm). It was fine for about 1-2 weeks then suddenly it started either restarting or refreshing but the apple logo comes on and off frequently on the face of the watch and the time doesn't show for a few seconds. I'm not sure if this is normal or what but I feel something is wrong. I'm thinking about possibly exchanging it or upgrading to the new one. I haven't had time to go in to the store but I will need to soon soon. Other than that I love my apple watch! It keeps me on track with my daily activity and I love that I can answer calls on the watch while on the go and my phone is out of reach. The Best buy sales agent was great and very helpful. It was a nice experience shopping at Best Buy.

VAST improvement over Apple Watch 1

I was gifted an Apple Watch 1. It was buggy and unpredictable to the point that it was almost useless. However, I really liked the fitness app so, when the Watch 1 fell off a counter onto a tile floor, shattering the face, I upgraded to the Watch 3 (the Watch 4 had just been announced and the Watch 3 was on sale). The Watch 3 is such an improvement that it’s nearly a different product. First, it actually works. No more waiting for an app to load only to have it lock up. I can actually make and receive calls from the Watch 3, respond to texts, etc. Second, the Watch 3 is water resistant, so I don’t have to worry about it getting wet. Why the Watch 1 wasn’t water resistant when the technology was basically ubiquitous will remain a mystery to me. Another example of the Watch 1 not being ready for prime time. Third, it’s zippier and more responsive than Watch 1 (as you would expect). Overall, a VAST improvement.

I purchased 2 on Black Friday my granddaughter loves hers she wears it everyday. I also purchased one for myself and also love it. I enjoy seeing how much I walk a day I also like the breathing exercises, and heart rate. I was hoping to use it for sleep however it’s not comfortable enough to sleep with. While I’m at work I leave my phone on my desk the volume isn’t that loud however I can tell the incoming caller to hold til I get to my phone, I can also respond to texts from my watch. I really think it was worth the money and I got them for $259.00 on Black Friday. I didn’t feel I needed the cellular and I haven’t missed not getting it.

This Apple Watch Series 3 model replaced an old Fitbit that broke several months ago. The workmanship is much better on this product and it actually doesn't seem to be a disposable item like my prior fitness device. I mainly purchased this product as a replacement for fitness tracking, but have found that I'm using it for so much more. (Watch, Email, Texting, Phone Calls, etc.) I have an iPhone, so this being an Apple Product makes it seamlessly interact with the functionality between the two. There has been a little bit of a learning curve on how Apple tracks activity vs. the Fitbit. It's not just steps. Apple calls it Move (calories burnt), Exercise (heart rate increased), and Stand (get up and move at least 1 minute per hour). Trying to close these 3 rings of activity each day has encouraged me to get more healthy. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a fitness device, watch, and much more!

My wife has been wanting this Apple watch for awhile now. So I decided on this one WITHOUT the GPS tracking on it and WITHOUT the extra plan. She loves it. As long as your in range which is pretty dang far the watch controls the phone just fine. Your going to have your phone with you no matter what anyways. I got the biggest screen and in the rose gold color. It looks good. It works amazing. I have big as hands, I'm 6-1, 215lbs. And the screen responds to my fingers just the way I want it to respond. I thought it would be frustrating to use. It's not. It's cool you can draw on the watch with your finger and it will convert it to text message and send it. I like that feature. It's perfect for her she likes it. She leaves her phone at her desk and walks around a dental lab and it's great. So I would recommend. Best buy has the best prices and price of mind knowing your getting a true quality product from them. Not a rip off.

Let me start by saying that I haven’t worn a watch in probably 6-8 years. I have bought these in the past as gifts for my kids. I got this one for myself mainly because my work requires me to be on call and I thought this would allow me to feel a little more comfortable going to the gym or doing some yard work without carrying my pager all the time (I get pages via text on my phone as backup in case pager doesn’t work). I quickly fell in love with all the features...activity reminders, easy viewing and replying to texts, controlling music from my phone, etc. After wearing it all the time for about a week, I started to hate it because I started being told to stand up, breath, take a walk...whatever...I have enough people telling me what to do, I don’t need my watch telling me too. Now I only wear it when I’m at work or on call. So, I guess it’s great for the purpose that I got it. I would recommend it.

I have wanted a Apple Watch for some time now and when Best Buy had such a great sale I couldn’t resist it. This Apple Watch has been everything I could has imagined and then some. It has reduced my time on my iPhone as I can see and/or respond to alerts quickly without having to look at my phone then get “distracted” and spend more time looking at other things. And I had stopped wearing a regular watch for some time now so I was concerned that wearing something on my wrist would feel uncomfortable, but it is extremely comfortable and I barely know it’s there. (I have the 42mm face) Also a very nice feature is that if I’m using my maps feature on my phone, my watch gives me vibration alerts when a turn is upcoming. Great watch. You will not be disappointed!!

I will admit that I held out for quite some time before purchasing the Series 3 and even shopped around for a Series 2 because I wasn’t sold on the differences between the two but I’m glad I went with the 3! It’s fast, the battery life is astounding, the GPS is such a great added feature and having a remote for my music (my Series 1 didn’t offer it as far as I can remember) is wonderful. The screen is crisp and ultra-responsive, Siri is helpful and a quick tap away when I have her Watch face displayed. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to keeping this model for a long time. Apple will have to change quite a few things for me to want an upgrade.

Comparing to my first generation Apple Watch, the Series 3 (non-cellular) offers the following: - Much better battery life: I used to finish a typical day with about 30-40% battery remaining with the original Apple Watch. With Series 3, I often have 70-80% battery left. In fact, with heavy usage, I've never dipped below 40%. - Faster apps: The apps are now much more usable. I used to wait several seconds for the Home app to launch in order to control my wifi lights. Now the app loads immediately, and the lights are off within a couple seconds. - Better Siri: Siri responds quicker and more accurately, providing verbal responses instead of having to look at the screen. Overall, if you have a first generation Apple Watch, the Series 3 is an easy recommended upgrade. I never expected to love the original Apple Watch, but I do. It's probably the most comfortable watch I've ever owned with so much more functionality than any non-smartwatch.

Bought this after using a Fitbit Blaze for a couple of years. The Fitbit served me well, but this is definitely an upgrade in a lot of areas. Quality is excellent, screen is nice and sharp and vivid and the display looks like it's painted right on the surface of the watch. Biggest thing for me is the sensors in the Apple Watch are a lot more responsive, reads the 'raising wrist' movement a lot more accurately. Lots of good fitness tracker options with a bunch of choices in the app store. Keep in mind this GPS version is more reliant on the phone, which isn't a problem for me since I usually have it with me. Since it does have GPS you can still track runs or rides without having the phone with you. You can also load up a play list and connect bluetooth headphones to the watch so it's useful even when you leave the phone behind. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Switched from Fitbit Ionic to Apple Watch

LOVE my Apple Watch functionality and design. My Fitbit Ionic (less than one year old) stopped calculating calories burned. After attempting to resolve with Fitbit Chat Support and Phone call, I just decided to return, given that I had purchased the 2 year extended warranty. I was offered a new Ionic, but Best Buy no longer provides extended warranty (Fitbit quality control issue?). So, with the warranty balance, I asked to upgrade to an Apple Watch with Apple Care. Within a week, the price of the Apple Watch dropped and I got my money back. I love how the watch communicates with my iPhone 6 Plus, unlocks my Mac, and provides all of the data/feedback I need for my weight loss journey. With the money I saved, I also purchased two additional bands (sport and dressy) from Amazon. LOVE THIS APPLE WATCH (and you will too)!!!!!
