Awesome investment. I’ve been wanting an Apple Watch for about a year now, I’m particular when the Series 3 was out. I was between a rock and a hard place when the Series 4 was announced because I wanted the cellular but was told if my device is usually around me not to bother with the additional expense. It was great advice. I can still pick up calls if my phone is about 45 feet away. The sound quality is clear and pretty loud for a watch. I love the fact it automatically picks up when I start running and tracks my workout along with my HR. One con is it will not sync your “steps” from your phone to your watch for the day. (Like in case you kept your phone in your pocket THEN put on the watch.) It does track HR at various points throughout the day and motivates you to keep active by setting goals at the beginning/end of a week. The txt feature is nice, I’d like a modified keyboard just because it would probably make replying to txt faster. I do suggest updating your phone device PRIOR to opening your watch from the packaging because it does become a bit of a delay if you have to wait for it which takes some of the fun out from the initial experience. I got the sport band that came with my watch and I haven’t replaced it yet. I like how sleek the band is and how the rubber isn’t stiff unto the skin and it is smooth. It makes for an easier transition for those who haven’t worn watches before. I wish the bumpers/cases/screen protectors would have been more readily available for purchase when the preorders were delivered just because I find myself having to wait for them to be released with is a little nerve wracking (Let’s be honest, it’s an expensive device, I want it protected!) All in all, I really enjoy my watch and I use it daily since I’ve gotten it. It was completely worth the wait and worth the trading off of getting the S3-Cellular and just getting the S4-GPS.

Apple Watch Series 4: Rose Gold 40mm I purchased the Apple Watch Series 4 in October of 2018. I am no stranger to fitness trackers but had never had an Apple Watch. I spontaneously decided it was time to upgrade from average fitness trackers and finally purchase an Apple Watch. The Apple Watch Series 4 has features that are designated towards athletes, as it is able to track your burned calories on a variety of different workouts even including swimming. As a runner, I wanted a precise calorie count and GPS tracking of my runs, and the Apple Watch does this with exceptional accuracy. You will be pleased to find that if you are a competitive athlete, it even allows you to compare your activity for the day against your friends if they also have an Apple Watch. While being an athlete is definitely a strong reason to purchase this Apple Watch, I would even more strongly recommend it if you have other devices from Apple. This watch is very geared toward Apple-cooperative software, and therefore I recommend this watch mostly to Apple users. A few things I personally considered in a fitness tracker were the variety of features, weight, durability, and aesthetic appeal. The features in the Apple Watch are extremely beneficial for Apple users. The Apple Watch can be synced to your iTunes library, you are able to receive calls from your iPhone, and even text through iMessage. The watch also is not too bulky for those who are worried about other fitness trackers that may look chunky. I myself, being a runner, barely notice it’s there during a workout. Finally, the Apple Watch is very nice to look at. There are a few different colors and sizes to pick; I myself chose the 40mm in rose gold, and I have gotten many compliments on its aesthetic appeal. I wear my Apple Watch on a daily basis and feel comfortable enough to wear it in professional settings as well. While there are many amazing things about the new Apple Watch, I have noticed that the screen is very easily scratched. I do use the watch during rigorous physical activity, but I am very careful to not scratch it. Despite my attempts to protect the screen, however, the screen has quite a few deep scratches. If you are worried about this, be sure to purchase a screen protector before you use your Apple Watch. While this does make the screen slightly more bulky, you will be much more satisfied in six months-time. That being said, with all the features and sleek look of the watch, a few scratches is a small price to pay for such a versatile device. Finally, if you are hesitant on the price, you’re not alone. Spending $400+ on a watch may seem daunting, but the features, aesthetic, quality, and overall usefulness of the Apple Watch Series 4 should put its cost into perspective.

Love this watch. I had a Series 0. The face popped off and I got tired of super-gluing it back on. The Series 4 is a great upgrade coming from the original AW. Speed, screen size, and battery life, are definitely nice improvements. My Series 0 would last morning till night and need a charge. My new Series 4 goes from one morning after a shower to the next morning before a shower (including checking news and messages, maybe a call or two if I'm moving around too much to keep moving my phone, an hour long workout, light app use, and sleep tracking with an app) and still has 40-50%. I charge it while I’m showering and doing my makeup because I’m not using it then. Automatic workout detection is sooo nice. I often forget to start tracking, and this AW will actually notice activity and ask me if I want it to track. If the activity it picks up is wrong, I can change it, and it picks up right where it left off as if I’d remembered to start the thing when I should have. Range (Bluetooth/WiFi) on the GPS version is great, so I don’t feel the need for cellular for my purposes. This isn’t 4 specific, my 0 had the same connectivity. I can leave my phone upstairs in a 3300 sq ft house and get calls/texts while out on the back patio (this is the furthest my phone ever is from me). The ability to customize with watch faces and apps is nice. This also is not 4 specific (though I love the new “infograph” face), but distinguishes AW from a Fitbit I used to have. You want something? There’s an app for that, take your pick. You don’t want it? No need to clutter up your stuff with it. The silver/white is a very nice combo, and all my old bands still work with this one (so glad Apple didn’t do us like the lightning switch). Personally, I’m not sure I would have paid $400 + tax if I had a 3, maybe even a 2?? Coming from the Series 0, I definitely most appreciate the improved battery life, the fact that it is waterproof so I can finally swim with my watch on, and the increased speed. The screen is amazing though. I felt the 42mm watch was too big, so I dealt with the 38mm face being small for typing/passcode. The 40mm size and more use of the face itself ultimately played a role in me coughing up the extra dough for the Series 4 vs the still available Series 3. The added features are a nice plus. Having had a Fitbit Charge 2, the seamless integration with my phone while still having fitness tracking capabilities, as well as being customizable make the AW an easy choice for me.

I know some people are android people. I tried. I had the galaxy gear and overall was happy with its functionality. Something about the clean design of the Apple Watch made me come back to Apple. I had been looking for a used watch since I went back to Apple and my husband wanted me to to have a new one and talked me into this one. I love rose gold and it is a little more professional and classy. The size looks perfect on my wrist. Now they made so many stylish bands for these watches unlike when they were first released. Pro Easy to use. Easy to find information on how to use the watch or change functions. Apps are streamlined. The apps that are already on the Apple phone are easy to use and understand to start watching your fitness. Band options and styles. Size isn’t overwhelming. You can make the watch look stylish or sporty. Price options to fit most budgets. Prices are pretty much on point for all prices of smart watches. I like that they give you two bands for small or large. They didn’t when they first came out. Cons Battery could always be better. Only last about a day. I don’t know whey they don’t have a charger that the watch can lay on. Like the Samsung gear you have kinda a stand charger.

Long time iPhone user and owner, I finally wanted to jump on the bandwagon and finally buy an Apple Watch. I waited for some time because I wasn't too impressed with the Series 2 and 3. A little while after the Series 4 launched, I fell in love with the newer updates on it. I tested it out at the Apple Store, watched tons of YouTube reviews to see what was the difference, and made a decision. First of all, the size is just perfect for me since I have small wrists and don't want anything super bulky to wear. I love how seamless everything works, especially with my workouts and my iPhone. I use a different app that tracks my workouts and everything, and the watch allows me to view my workout and change anything with it. Also, the convenience of being able to interchange the bands is a plus since I want it to coordinate with certain outfits. The battery is great, no issues with it dying on me quickly or anything like that. The speaker is super clear and is easy to hear anyone if you answer or make a phone call when your hands are full. Also, using the voice command for texts is actually pretty accurate for the most part. A cool feature I discovered last month is that when you use Apple Maps. your Apple Watch will vibrate when a turn/exit is occurring ahead, and will even display which street/exit you're taking. Last but not least, the new faces on the screen are simply stunning and super customizable to fit any style you want. You even swipe through them on the screen. Also, the ECG is convenient since I need to track my heart rate due to a medication I take. Overall, very happy with it and would gladly buy another in the future when the time comes.

I was excited to get my hands on this watch after watching Apple's keynote presentation back in September, and now that I got this watch, I'm even more in love! The screen size is bigger, the battery life is decent (I get a good day and a half) and the experience is overall smoother than I had imagined. My main objective was to use this as a fitness tracker and I've gotta say, it's been doing a great job tracking my activity levels! I love the breathing app, and Intervals would be my favorite as I do my HIIT workouts at the gym. (Love how I can play music and run the app at the same time, it really sets the momentum for me.) Needless to say, it's also aesthetically pleasing, and although I didn't get the LTE version, I can still type out short responses to incoming texts if my phone is nearby, which is all I'd need:) Happy camper and satisfied customer! *To some, this might be just another overpriced smart watch, but it's been a real effective fitness tracker for me as well, and it's been really helpful for me as I'm embarking on a healthier lifestyle. I'd also suggest the series 3 which is currently on sale for 279, it was also a great hit among my friends! For anyone who's on the fence, I say go for it, it's definitely an investment well worth it where the price tag doesn't over weigh the benefits.*

    Disappointing battery life

I got a 40mm space gray aluminum one on Saturday 22 from BestBuy and returned it on Sunday, 23th. The only reason for my decision to return it was the poor battery life! I GOT IT! The Apple watch is a beautiful piece of technology, one that works seamlessly with your iPhone with a fantastic screen and fancy new sensors. If you want to use it as a fitness companion though look elsewhere! I removed the watch from the charger around 3 pm, went to the gym, and slept with it on that night. On the next morning, I had ~35% battery left. This was without playing with apps, GPS or other features. I had to charge it again because I didn't want to leave the house for a few hours with just 35% battery. What ended up doing instead is to go back to BestBuy and return it. I have been using Fitbit Versa for a while and I was waiting for an apple watch upgrade that will make these devices comparable when it comes to fitness tracking. The difference in the battery life though is not even close! I go to the gym almost every day and I only need to charge my Versa once (sometimes 2 times 3,5 - 4 days battery life) a week. I understand that the Versa is not as good smartwatch as the Apple watch is but I absolutely believe they are comparable when it comes to fitness features, accuracy, and being an extra screen for notifications. We don't even have to mention the sleep tracking feature and the vastly better Fitbit app compared to apple watch. Maybe things will change with the 5th or 6th generation of the watch but as of today, ~$430 (after tax) for an entry-level Apple watch which barely lasts 24h on a charge, after using it as advertised - as life/fitness companion, is unacceptable for me.

I started with a Fitbit Alta. It was nice having a device that tracked my activity. The only problem was it wasn't able to accurately track a variety of activities such as biking and walking and gardening on the same day. When it gave out I knew I wanted another tracker but wasn't sure if I wanted to stick with Fitbit or switch to the more spendy Apple Watch. After reading the reviews I thought the Fitbit was going to be easier to use. The Apple Watch sounded expensive and as having a low battery life (1.5 days as compared to 5-7 days with the Fitbit.) Having been a lifelong Apple user, I chose to not follow my head and go with my experience. Apple has never led me wrong. I got the series 4 Apple Watch and LOVE it! It was easy to synch it with my apple phone and start using the watch, all within 10 mins. The apps are easy to use. In fact, the watch noticed I had begun a walk and asked me if it should record it. How cool is that? The low battery life is a slight drawback but when I think of the reliability of this product I know it's a small trade off. I LOVE this watch.

To be honest, I really wasn’t a big smart watch fan. I’m more the traditional watch person. However, since I was diagnosed with a heart condition I did some research on smart watches and compared several. The Apple series 4 is by far one of the best I’ve seen which provides some features it’s rivals don’t. I need to check my heart rate regularly and most smart watches do this. But the series 4 provides a pretty close to medical grade ECG or EKG chart to detect abnormalities. Plus lots of other tech features for executing apps on your phone via the watch interface as well as customizable features and very user friendly. Compared to the earlier series and other comparable watches this one stands above the rest. Highly recommend it.

I have a love hate relationship with my Apple Watch. I love that it tracks activity, standing, and my heart rate (I have a medical condition that requires I track my heart rate, which is actually the whole reason I got the watch to begin with)! However, it wants to pause my workouts and only catches about a third of it even when I’m in HIIT mode. Another sad thing is that if I’m not wearing the watch, it’s assuming I’m basically a vegetable and not moving and thus yelling at me when I get it back on. I’m not adventurous enough to swim/shower in it (even though it’s allegedly water-resistant). Some apps also will show a notification, but not allow it to be opened on the watch screen. My main complaint though is the distance requirement to be by the iPhone. It means I literally cannot have my phone charging in my room and go to the kitchen and expect to get my notifications/calls. Makes me wish I’d have just spent the extra money to get the cellular option.

This Apple Watch Series 4 is my first upgrade from my Apple Watch Series 0 bought three years ago. The Series 4 is the watch Apple promised with the Series 0 but didn't quite deliver. The Series 4 display is significantly better, the apps actually work, the infograph face is wonderful with a lot of readable information, the processor upgrade makes all the apps work very quickly, the battery life gives a true full day of wearing, the altimeter finally gives me credit for climbing stairs (about 20 floors a day) on my activity app. The Remote links well with iTunes on my Mac. Things that still need to be fixed in Series 4, the phone connection is still sketchy, drops calls, doesn't answer. Siri is still somewhat intermittent, most of the time I still need to say 'Hey, Siri' to wake it up, where the hype says you do not have to do that anymore, the stock app does not display the Dow change in the little complications on the infograph watch face. The Remote still does not work with my iPad iTunes. No 'Dick Tracy' video calling yet! Paying full price hurts, but this upgrade is definitely worth it.

I was a Galaxy guy for the last 3 years, but I am happy that I made the switch to Apple. I went with the iPhone Xs Max and haven't been disappointed. The speed of the device is incredible along with the display. Been a little bit of a struggle getting used to functionality, but persistence pays off. Related to the watch specifically, it is a fun time. It is very useful if you are active at all. If your phone is on you, you can use it to take a phone call to not interrupt the music coming thru your actual phone. It is water resistant, not water proof. It will easily wick sweat away. The clock interfaces are beautiful and the Series 4 watch does not stutter at all. Yes, $400 plus tax is a lot of money for a watch, I get that. You have to look at what you are into as a consumer and I love tech. It enhances your apple experience quite a bit, I honestly am already looking forward to the Series 5.

I upgraded from a series 1 watch. I am soon to be 65 years old and have heart disease. The heart monitoring capabilities of this watch is the main reason I purchased it. My heart beats too low at times and the series 1 watch only alerts for too high. This does both. Plus the ECG capabilities is a big plus for me. That should be available soon. The "help I have fallen and I can't get up" feature is also just what I needed, as I go walking a lot by myself. It is bigger and brighter and so much faster than my previous watch. The call function works better and overall, it is a much more responsive watch. So glad I let myself splurge on this one. I think of more as a health device than a watch.

This newest release from Apple Watch series is incredible. The technology is so cutting edge, and the constant updates bring newer and more useful features every time! I use Siri on my Apple Watch for everything, and the ability to read text messages, take phone calls, search the web, and view navigation instructions makes this device more useful and safer to utilize than my phone. If you are new to the Smart Watch world, this will be the perfect solution. Not only do you get an intuitive user interface, but the simple design and smooth operation makes this easy for everyone! You will absolutely be satisfied, and not once will you consider the price point once you have begun to learn this watch's many features. As a stylish and fashionable accessory for women, or a utilitarian tool for the average guy, the Apple Watch will certainly exceed you expectations and provide you years of excellent service and technology, right on your wrist!

The Apple Watch Series 4 finally made some distinguishable changes from the previous versions. The size and shape of the device is slightly rounded with a larger viewing (and touching) area which is good for older people and those with larger fingers. Battery life and speed seems to be a little better too, but the biggest improvements come around the built-in health monitoring features and abilities. The Series 4 has a better heart monitor sensor and a new EKG sensor which will improve the accuracy of almost everything the Apple Watch does when tracking your daily activities. Give Apple some more time to fully utilize these improved sensors, but already you’ll find the health stats it produces are more granular and accurate. If you have never owned an Apple Watch, I would only hesitate to buy this version due to cost as the Series 3 is now significantly less expensive and maintains most of the features for the Series 4, but if you have owned any other model of the Apple Watch I would suggest going right for the Series 4.

I've only had the watch for a few hours but honestly, it's already a HUGE improvement from the previous gens for sure. First, let me start by saying that the packaging is a little different for Series 4 but the nice suede cover that protects the actual face watch is much better than the plastic wrap. I love how it's a little more curved on the corners, it makes it look so much nicer than the rectangular look. The sensors on the back is even nicer to look at. It runs smooth and faster. I also like the fact that the power button on the watch sits flush, so you're less likely to accidentally press on that (you still will with the crown though, especially when working out). Other than that, that's all I have to say. It was definitely worth the upgrade from Series 3 to the 4.

I bought this for my wife as she NEVER has her iPhone on ring/vibrate. And with our child heading to daycare in a month or so, she wanted a way to get calls/texts without the annoyance of having her phone go off at work during meetings. I recommended a smartwatch but she was unsure as she gave up on wearing a Fitbit after a few short months. She also has TINY wrists, so she was concerned about the size. The 40mm watch looks great on her small wrists, and there are some nice strap/band/bracelet options that are much better suited for small wrists. She loves all of the features of the watch, especially being able to track her sleep and get images from our outdoor security cameras sent right to her watch. Best of all, I can get in touch with her now!! I will admit, I am a little jealous that she now has better tech than I do.

I love this watch. I still have the original Apple Watch series 1. This one I can take in places my other watch could not go. I love the fact that series 4 motivates me at my age to keep an eye on my heart rate and rhythm. I know it's not going to detect heart attacks, however, with the new features it has, I'm more apt to keep up with my internal watch. I'm not drastically old, just at a point where I need to be aware of things. It also keeps me on my toes for walking and other exercise. Including my sleep patterns. I downloaded an app to my iPhone to work along with my watch for my sleep patterns. I now can keep up to date on how well or well not I'm sleeping. I'm an avid Apple user. I have several apple computers/laptops/and iPhones. Love my Apple Watch and all of my Apple devices.

My device isn’t picking up falls, keeping charge, or grabbing Siri until I call for her several times. I bought this due to having regular falls and needing help. I have already sent my watch into Apple and they sent it back with only a software update. I went without my watch for 3 weeks due to that. Watch is still not working properly. Today they said there is a hardware issue and I need to go through the same thing and send it in again. Ten hours later, I’m ready to throw this $500 piece of crap away. Apple has sent me on a goose chase and made me spend hours getting this taken care of!!! Never buying an Apple Watch or product again after this fiasco and will NOT recommend this product!

I love my new Apple Watch. I had gotten my previous watch 3years ago when they first came out. It was time for a new one and this watch is much improved. Perfect for runners, walkers, or general fitness folks. It accurately tracks miles, calories burned, stairs climbed. I love the new fall alert. When activated, if you fall and do not respond to the watch in 60 seconds it contacts 911 (provided it is connected to your phone.) This model also has a basic ECG function to monitor for heart rhythm problems if needed. The bigger size still fits all my 38mm bands but makes the face easier to use. Battery life is improved and last me two days minimum. New faces make personalizing the watch a piece of cake. I have everything I need on my watch. In the market for a fitness tracker? Like Apple products? Have an iPhone? Spend the money on this watch, you won’t regret it.
