The sound quality is actually A LOT better than the previous version. The shape of the earbuds probably would bit a bit weird if you've never had these before, but you'll get used to it. One thing I don't like about this new version though is they put the microphone higher than last version so it constantly touches my chin when I walk--- and then it starts to itch.... but again you'll get used to it

Made for iOS

Makes sense that Apple would make headphones tailored to iOS devices. Probably has to do with the impedance matching and other headphone geek stuff that affects sound quality etc.
