Got these with my new iPod Touch. They are a step up from the old Apple Buds, but that says nothing. These leak, they feel like they are gonna fall out. Apple has cornered the market on mp3 players, smartphones & tablets, but they should outsource the stock earbuds to a headphone company, say Monster Cable. The HTC phones come w/ the iBeats, so if the iPhone 5 or iPod touch 5g came with some Monster Jamz, they could really put a stranglehold on the mp3, tablet & smartphone market. These cost $30. There are plenty of earbuds for less that are way better. Do yourself a solid and do not get these. They are so bad that I'm shocked Apple even sold these. The products they sell are top-of-the-line devices, so having these is counter-productive. Check out my review [http://youtu.be/XTjTbEeum70].

I would normally recommend these but... I purchased a new set of Apple earbuds from my daughter, who seems to go through them like candy. Everything about the packaging appeared normal - it did not appear to be tampered with in any way. But when my daughter opened them at home, she found what appeared to be spiral cuts, or scoring, going down the cords from each ear bud. I tossed them back in the bag with the receipt to return them - and promptly had a car wreck. Of course I forgot all about them until I got my car back. It has been more than 30 days since I bought them but I'm taking them back anyway. No telling if BestBuy will agree to exchange them but they need to be aware of the problem.

Great sound, but fall out easy from ear

I have use them for at least 4 hour continuously, but, except very good sound quality, they fall out of your years so easily, like they did not test them with small bend of head to left or right. I will still use them, hopefully I will get to be used with using them. But, if I would find similar quality and better dynamics in ears, I will immediately switch to the newer ones. I gave 1 star because for me is annoying to keep head steady or to repeatedly catch them from falling or get them back into ear. I don't have problems with ears, I can wear any type of in ear headphone and, but making of Apple's design should at least think of more stability into ear.

These ear pods DO NOT fit as well as the previous pair I owned. This is the 3rd pair of this type of pod, and this one fits my ear horribly. Not sure why they (Apple) would change the dimensions, but they clearly did. But I keep these because I had the protection plan on them, and they're replaced when they get damaged. If I didn't have my JBL Reflects I don't know what I'd do, because Beats are overrated and over priced. And Klipsch is one of a very few brands, that offers both the sound and quality in an ear pod/bud that a true sound enthusiast could appreciate.

worked for a several months then the microphone and volume controls quit. The earbuds made my mac book pro randomly turn on itunes and start playing amovie. I could not prevent or stop them from doing this. Best buy most definitely isn't and with the many many thousands spent in being a customer they simply say sorry cant help you. best buy: EPIC CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL! I will ALWAYS DISRECOMMEND ANY PRODUCT FROM THEM.

I was quite disappointed with this purchase as I normally find Apple products to be consistent and reliable. These headphones were crimped a little when I took them out of the package and now they are super scratchy and fuzzy when I use them. I ended up getting a super cheap pair from the supermarket that work just fine. I have to say though, I am disappointed in the overall quality of the item.

    Failed after 15 days

Bought these expecting to last about a year or so for the price. After 15 days, right ear volume was half that of the left and the volume controller stopped working. Since it was beyond the 14 day Best Buy return window, we had to go to Apple Store for repair. (Fun!) Apple repair techs were so busy we couldn't get an appointment the day we went. If that many Apple products are in need of repair, then I'm not surprised these crapped out so quickly.

Faulty product. They didn't work with my iPhone, thus couldn't say if good. Best Buy nor Apple would take them back cause over a month. Volume on cord didnt work. People sounded like they were under water. They had been tucked away for that time in original packaging, but when took them out they didn't work. Very disappointed with Best Buy and Apple for not covering them. Thus customer care not very good and I am out of $30 ear plugs!

This was not a good experience I bought these to use with my phone when driving and they did not work at all. Tried to get to work but finally gave up. Not impressed. The associate said they would work and I was very specific with him so feel like I got ripped off for the amount of money I spent. Wasn't worth taking back bought a great one that works with my phone at Radio Shack for much cheaper.

I have a few of these earplugs that I've kept from over the years and they still work okay; some issues with sound going out and making weird glitches in my phone occur, so I bought the same kind. About two weeks after I purchased the earbuds, the wiring and plug came apart. The plug broke off inside my phone, luckily I had a needle- nose pliers to get it out

I cannot actually review the product, so the 1 star rating really is a review of the service associated with it. I own a Samsung phone, and these headphones are not compatible. I asked an associate about the compatibility prior to purchasing, and he said they would work with any phone. I had to return the product--no issues with the return--so it was bothersome.

These headphones suck! I got them for my daughter & she complained that everytime she used them her Siri kept interruping her music & talking. Then i tried using them on my Android phone & my Google app keeps interrupting my music & asking me to repeat myself when i didnt say anything. I will be returning them today.

These headphone are a step down from Apple's former headphone design which wasn't that great to begin with. The earbuds are poor fitting and fall out so often that it is annoying. these headphone have absolutely zero noise reduction and the cord is too short. I will be purchasing a set of earbuds that I can truly depend on in the future.

In 1 week, had to exchange it 3 times. The sound quality is bad. For work out, gym, outdoor running. Wires simply get messed up inside where you can't talk to any one or hear other person on other line. If you plan to sit and not do any activity. This product is for you and also if you plan not to move at all.

These are the epitome of the worst product ever. They do not stay in your ears. Who has ear canals big enough for these to set in properly? Moreover, these are the free earphones that come with the iPhone that retails at $699.99. Apple can do bettter than that. You would be better off purchasing the $9.99 JBL earbuds!

Purchased apple ear pods that seemed packaged as they should be but when I opened the box I discovered the ear buds were not there. Obviously this is something I should have checked in the store. Also the person at checkout should have checked. I will be more observant in the future.

For the amount of money you spend on these headphones you should expect better performance. They lack in the true bass they claim to deliver. It took apple over 8+ years to come up with this sleak new look and they still failed to deliver quality sound. You would do better buying $20 Sony headphones which are far better.

I've never been a big fan of earbuds because most of them fall out of my ears too easily. The only earbuds that stay in place for a fair amount of time are my Bose earbuds and even those will occasionally fall out. So take my review with a grain of salt. If earbuds usually fall out of your ears, these probably will too.

The ear pods were a gift I bought for my sister but when she actually went to use them the volume down button and the pause button didn't work. Of course it was too late to exchange them at the store so I was referred to the Apple store- such an inconvenience. I just wanted to exchange them.

sound quality is ok, if you're in a quiet and padded room. the buttons are nice for pausing playback on your iOS device. go spend $10 more bucks on the Sony WI-C300 and get a light years better (and wireless) product.
