The screen and the back are somewhat detached. The battery does not last long at all. Not sure if it was broken during shipment or if that is just how it came but I am not super satisfied with my purchase.

The iPad Air sits in a sweet spot between Apple’s entry-level iPad and the premium iPad Pro, offering power, portability, and versatility without the highest price tag.
Design & Display:
The iPad Air carries Apple’s sleek, lightweight design with thin bezels and a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display. The screen is sharp, bright, and supports True Tone and P3 wide color, making it excellent for streaming, browsing, and creative work. While it doesn’t reach the 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate of the iPad Pro, it’s still very smooth for everyday use.
Performance:
Powered by Apple’s M1 chip (depending on the generation you’re considering), the iPad Air delivers performance that rivals laptops. It handles multitasking, gaming, video editing, and productivity apps effortlessly. For students, professionals, or casual users, it provides more than enough power for day-to-day and creative tasks.
Accessories & Productivity:
The iPad Air works seamlessly with the 2nd-gen Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard, which makes it a strong laptop replacement for many users. Taking notes, drawing, and typing all feel natural and responsive. It’s especially appealing to students, digital artists, or anyone who wants a more portable computer.
Cameras & Audio:
It includes a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera with Center Stage, which automatically adjusts the frame during video calls—great for FaceTime, Zoom, and online meetings. The camera system isn’t on par with an iPhone, but it’s solid for scanning documents and casual photography. Stereo speakers deliver clear, balanced sound.
Battery Life:
The iPad Air lasts around 10 hours on a single charge, making it reliable for all-day use whether you’re working, watching movies, or gaming.
Value:
The iPad Air offers an ideal middle ground—more power than the standard iPad, but at a lower price than the iPad Pro. It’s perfect for users who want premium features without going all-in on the Pro line.

I’m sure this model is snappy and lovely to use. Unfortunately, I ordered it by mistake, since the product listing photos and descriptions for this refurbished 5th gen iPad Air (4gb RAM), and the refurbished 5th gen iPad Air I wanted (8gb RAM) are virtually identical. It doesn’t help that tech specs that differentiate the two are only visible on the product page and not while in cart.
Otherwise, Best Buy’s refurbished device offerings are great. You may not get an apple official cable, but something that works just fine, as well as a charger block. Most cosmetic scratches to the screen weren’t visible unless it was thoroughly cleaned and shiny, and they were easily concealed underneath a textured screen protector.
Battery life is similar to that of my relatively new 9th gen iPad, but I also mainly use word-processors, art programs, and some 3d modeling apps. I can get several hours work out of it on the go, and the usb-c connector is a game-changer in terms of working with my other devices/computers.

I purchased it online, and the delivery was fast. The device arrived in excellent cosmetic condition—clean, fully functional, with no scratches or visible marks on the screen or body. I’m still using and testing it, and so far, everything seems to be working perfectly. That said, I’m considering upgrading to the iPad Pro 256GB, as the 64GB version isn’t sufficient for my work needs. Additionally, the Pro models offer significantly more power and speed compared to the Air series, which would better support my workflow.
