Great sound-super easy to hook up.
I have 3 now! Even one in the bathroom to listen to audiobooks with!
Can also text and make calls which is convenient. The family intercom freaks out my mom but is useful too. The handoff to and from iPhone works like a charm. I’ll be getting ready for work listening to a podcast and switch to my phone. Plug it right in to CarPlay and I’m back in business!
Great product!

I’ve been using Apple products for a good portion of my life. My first college computer was an iMac. About a year ago, I finally made the transition from Android to iOS. From there, I’ve slowly integrated myself into the Apple ecosystem. As an I.T. Technician, I personally enjoy utilizing home automation. However, the cheaper cost of the Google devices lead me to build around them. With increasing security concerns with the likes of Google and Amazon, this HomePod Mini couldn’t have come at a better time. Not only does it sound amazing for its size, it is the perfect product to begin the transition to Apple’s HomeKit. If you are someone dedicated to using Apple devices and are on a budget, like myself. I can’t recommend the Apple HomePod Mini enough.

HomePod Mini - the perfect alarm clock

This thing is awesome. I have it set to wake me up every single day instead of my phone because it’s much louder (great for heavy sleepers) and I don’t have to worry about not being woken up in case I forget to put my phone to charge. One of my favorite features that isn’t really spoken about is the fact that it is completely dark when not in use unlike other alarm clocks / smart devices that always have some sort of light source during the night. Personally I like to sleep in as close to pitch black as possible and this “feature” works great.
The benefit of having a seamless integration to my other Apple products is really the icing on the cake as I can just say “hey siri” and my HomePod mini gets to work on either giving me a breakdown of my day, reading off notifications and being able to respond to them via voice. Truly a 10/10 for me

If you have as many apple products in your household as I do, the learning curve on taming this little monster is a few days long. (This is my first experience with wifi speakers)
For the price and size, the sound is amazingly good. It's very sturdily made and looks good in the room. I'm adding several more to experience the full capabilities of the tech.
I have an elderly hard of hearing relative, and this speaker's been great for her. It connects to the Apple TVs and to her iPad when needed. The sound is clear and full and she has no trouble hearing it.
Once you learn how to speak to the Siri who lives in this little guy, it natively accesses your podcasts and Apple Music, and with a few more well-chosen words, is able to stream Spotify playlists from your phone, computer, or Apple TV.
As a bonus it measures the ambient temp and humidity where it's seated.
If you're ambitious, you can teach it to control your whole house! Baby steps.

I love the New HomePod mini. It’s just like the main HomePod but just smaller. The sound quality is amazing for the size. Just as loud as the big one. I can’t tell the difference. The quality is just what you expect with Apple. If you don’t want to spend the money for the big HomePod. Then you sure won’t regret getting this small one.

I purchased this pod after I thought my first pod gave out. Months later I found out I just noticed eded to reset my first pod by hard pressing the top of pod for 10 seconds, letting go of press after hearing a beat amd relinking to your home. Lol These tinynoids are amazing. Now that I have two wrk simultaneously, i have spurround in my room. Love them!

I am writing this review in hopes this helps others thinking to buy them. This review is for 2 HomePod mini stereo paired.
I bought one black and one white. They have to be paired in the home app on an iPhone and then updated separately. This is a pain, but be patient. Once paired, you can use with airplay.
I personally just use them as a pair of speakers for my Mac mini. You can use airplay, or actually use as the audio output. I have issues with one speaker not working while the output, always works as airplay. You cannot use the EQ in airplay, only as output. Sometimes there is a gap in seamless tracks, sometimes there isn't.
But all in all, I am very pleased with them. They sound great. I can use with all my apple devices. I do not use Siri, but it is possible. There is an intercom I also do not use.
It is not as simple as bluetooth speakers. They do not charge, but do require a USB-c power block (included, whew). My Mac mini would not power them despite having 4 usb-c jacks.
Music and movies sound great. 360 sound.
I used to have the JBL BT speaker, but it died. I am not mad I replaced it with these.
There are also stands that I recommend for cable management.

Really love these HomePod minis! Started out with one and now this will be our 4th! Little by little, we keep adding them to each room in the house (kitchen, living room, bedroom, playroom, etc). Really like how two can be connected as TV speakers and the sound quality is really good for such a small device! They also serve as HomeKit hubs so having them around the house has made our smart devices even more responsive.

HomePod Mini - Best Sounding?! Dare I say crisp? The HomePod Mini has some of the best sounding audio in a tiny package for $100. It really can’t be beat. Only qualms I had is that you need to have Apple Music and Apple’s line of online services... such as Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple News. You can use Spotify but Apple made it so it’s much more of a hassle to connect. The HomePod Mini isn’t a Bluetooth speaker because it doesn’t use bluetooth. It uses Apple H1 Chip which is like the Bluetooth for only Apple Products. It works really well when connecting to the HomePod. H1 is in the AirPods and that’s why the experience is seamless.
Is apple made a soundbar, that would really put them up there with Sony.
I make videos. This product is next. I got a YouTube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/c/techspace27

Great sound for a desktop setup, Siri is really handy to have on command without having to pick up your iPhone while working.
The lights on the top of the speaker are helpful to know if your command was heard, which it almost always is even if you whisper. 4 months free Music and Apple TV are a plus. Setup is easy, all you need to do is put your iPhone right on top of the speaker and follow the directions.

Good sound, not as loud or the bass that the full blown Homepod has but when it paired, sounds great!! I use them as ambient sound when I am studying, which is perfect because is not to loud but is super clear, also I use them as speakers for my Mac Mini and PC (TuneBlade App) they look great! Easy to set up, is Apple, great quality!

This is a great hub for the apple ecosystem. It is surprisingly full sounding, clear, and loud. Impressive for its diminutive size. Paired with smart plugs I was able to automate my Christmas lights this year on a timer or via voice command.

I bought two of these, the second because I was so satisfied with the first. I’m deep in the Apple ecosystem and wanted to start automating my house. The HomePod Mini is the cheapest way to start and you also get a great sounding speaker to boot. The quality and feel is at the usual high Apple standards and set up with HomeKit was very easy. The listening range is good enough that if I yell loud enough it was able to hear my voice on the first level but it was better to just buy another for my bedroom, especially at $100. My only wish is that it could possibly connect easily to my TVs. One other thing I liked is the security and privacy that Apple focuses on in comparison to the competitors. Definitely a great option for Apple lovers.

We mainly purchased the HomePod mini so we could listen to a playlist while working. The sound is incredible from such a small device. It fits perfectly on the desk and is almost hidden. The only problem is you have to plug it into an outlet so you are limited on where you can place it.

I recently purchased 2 minis to add to my HomePod. I was excited by the idea of streaming media through multiple rooms simultaneously. The minis sound quality is excellent! The minis are not as loud as my HomePod, but they are loud enough, and they produce a nice clear sound. And, the bass is very satisfactory for such a small speaker. My only complaint about the minis and the original HomePod, in general, is they disconnect from my wifi on a fairly regular basis and need to be reset a few times a week. At first, I wondered if my wifi was the culprit, but I doubt that is the problem. This problem persists on my HomePod and one of my minis. The other mini works perfectly without any problems. Overall, the minis offer a reasonably priced and easy way to add streaming music to your home. Hopefully, the disconnect issue can be corrected through software updates over time.

If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, a HomePod mini is a nice addition. It’s small, looks good, sounds pretty decent, and overall is useful. My main issues with this device: it has a dumbed-down way of setting up that is highly frustrating. It grabs your network from your setup device (my iPhone). So far, so good. But I live in an apartment, with lots of Wi-Fi networks really closeby. I have Xfinity, with my own named network. But I’ve also loaded the profile for the Xfinity hotspots on my phone so I can access them when out and about. Now, there are many other Xfinity customers around me, many of whom have their hotspot turned on. The HomePod grabs the profile for the Xfinity Wi-Fi network from my phone. Now, if my own network hiccups for whatever reason, it loves to slide onto one of these other networks. Then, I get “I’m having trouble connecting to the internet” and “This is taking longer than normal. Please open the Home app and connect me to the internet.” Even more annoying “Hey Siri, set an alarm for 8 am,” which results in “I’m sorry, you must be on the same network to manage alarms.” If I go to the Home app, select the HomePod, it will show it as on another network. Or on my network, but I still get these errors. I think it likes to hop between the dozen available in the area. But there is no way to access any kind of network selection or exclusion list in Home, and there’s no actual interface on the device. And you think Siri can help with that? No, Siri cannot. I’ve noticed that Siri has become less and less intelligent over the years. When Siri first came out - as an independent app that I had on my iPhone 3GS, I could ask Siri to “make me dinner reservations for 2 tomorrow night at SPQR” and it would return “a table for two is available at 6:45 pm and 9:30 p.m, which would you like?” “9:30 pm” “ Ok, you have reservations for 2 at 9:30 pm tomorrow at SPQR in San Francisco.” Good luck getting that kind of assistance anytime since. As you must interface with the HomePod primarily by verbal commands, Siri willl likely be a source of frustration. Commands that work one day will not work the next. Siri does a lot of time “thinking” and “sorry.”

purchased the Apple HomePod Mini to replace a Google Home Hub in the kitchen, thinking it would make sense to align with the Apple ecosystem since our household now uses iPhones. While it functions well and has a nice design, it hasn’t seen nearly as much use as the Google Home Hub it replaced.
The HomePod Mini responds well to voice commands and plays music with excellent sound quality for its size. However, we rarely think to use it. For quick tasks like setting timers or asking Siri questions, we instinctively turn to our iPhones or Apple Watches instead. At this point, its primary function has been as an audible alert for our doorbell, which is useful but not enough to justify the switch.
While it works as advertised and integrates into the Apple ecosystem without issues, it doesn’t feel as central to our daily routine as the Google Home Hub did. Unless we find more ways to make it part of our kitchen workflow, we might end up bringing the Hub back.

Open box home pod mini was totally worth it. I do love the regular sized HomePod for a deeper clarity. But this one is great if your on a budget and want to save on electricity.
